@Twittlebee I still have some aversions - mostly to chicken which started pretty early on. Still have strange taste in my mouth which makes me feel nauseous when it gets really bad. Still sick brushing my teeth. 17 weeks now and can't believe these symptoms still hanging about!

LillianFullStop · 13/01/2020 18:08

wow StarStarStar on the 20w scan news @Lemonysherbet! Mine is on Friday I can't wait to find out!

Lemonysherbet · 13/01/2020 18:25

@LillianFullStop thank you. Honestly it's so amazing you see so much detail!

Did you know at 20 weeks baby's heart is the size of a thumbnail!

🥰🥰🥰

@Lemonysherbet congratulations a baby boy how lovely!
Mines next Monday, 20th and I'll be exactly 20 weeks 😊

newbyxx · 13/01/2020 18:43

@Lemonysherbet what did they look for and what did you see etc? What things are they looking out for to see if adnormal? I'm so nervous for mine next Tuesday x

APD1981 · 13/01/2020 19:14

Congratulations @lemonysherbet! Another boy 💖 I'm not finding out but I think I'm having a boy and so do all my family and friends!

I have my 20 weeks scan on Wednesday next week when I'll be 20+3. I just cannot wait!

QforCucumber · 13/01/2020 19:21

@Lemonysherbet they would tell you there and then. My pregnancy earlier in the year a condition was picked up at 14 weeks which isn't usually detected until the later scan, we opted for TFMR due to the condition and it was all arranged instantly after the scan.

Lemonysherbet · 13/01/2020 19:25

@newbyxx they look at all the main organs, heart, lungs, kidneys, spine, and the legs and arms, fingers, toes, brain. It's so detailed it's amazing!

MissisBee · 13/01/2020 21:36

I think they can check for cleft palate at the 20 week scan too. It's amazing the detail they can see.
Food aversions are still going on here, but I don't think as bad as first time round. Can't stand the smell of garlic and can only eat it if it's very mild and I've cooked it myself. Also off potatoes if they have their skins on. I've been off vegetables until the last week or so. Oh, and the weirdest one, I've completely gone off tea and plain water. Can't stomach them at all, when they're normally the only things I drink. I've now started drinking coffee, which I've never liked before!!

Larrydavid · 14/01/2020 00:06

@Lemonysherbet we're going to get the bugaboo Fox I think. My partner gets a discount which makes the price tag slightly better 😭 I loved it in the shop and seemed one of the best ones for different terrains - we go on lots of dog walks!

AmyMaria2 · 14/01/2020 00:51

Congratulations @Lemonysherbet another boy muma!!💙 so nervous for my scan Wednesday!! Already know he's a boy obviously, just hope everything is ok and as it should be🤞

@lemonysherbet Congratulations! I bet it's a wonderful feeling knowing everything is looking okay and finding out you are having a boy 😃 we are not ringing out but I have a feeling I'm having a boy and I hope I am as I feel I'm stating to think of him/her as a he! Trying not to though incase it is a girl which will equally be amazing.

I'm only 17+3 and have been feeling baby move for about a week now! I wasn't sure at first but I'm pretty sure it's baby now. Last night I was laying on my back really still looking at my tummy and as i felt a kick I saw my stomach move too exactly where I can feel my uterus 😃 I thought I would be far too early to see any movement from the outside but apparently it's not impossible!

MsMiaWallace · 14/01/2020 08:00

We've bought an armadillo flip XT.
It's amazing!!

chocolate26 · 14/01/2020 11:19

I really don't know what pushchair to buy! Did anyone go to a shop and try out a few before making their mind up? I'm thinking of doing that. I have got my eye on the egg pushchair in green or the ICandy but they are about £1500 for everything we want/need and I'm wondering if that's a bit pricey for a pushchair? I've seen others for around £500 which are nice too and more reasonably priced 😊

Smiffette · 14/01/2020 11:45

@chocolate26 I got the ickle bubba stomp v3 travel system so has everything we need and that was currently £100 on their website so £399! Personally I wasn't looking to spend more than £500 especially as friends say they grow out of the carry cot and initial travel seat (usually only up to 1 year with the travel systems) fairly quickly!

chocolate26 · 14/01/2020 11:51

@Smiffette I've just had a look at the stomp V3 and I really like it! It's such a good price too. What colour have you got yours in? It looks like there's lots of colours to choose from. We won't buy ours until after our scan on 3rd Feb but I'd like to have an idea of what we want now 😊

Smiffette · 14/01/2020 12:23

@chocolate26 we ended up having the all black with brown handle

newbyxx · 14/01/2020 12:47

@chocolate26 I had my eye on the icandy to but can't justify the price tag! So I've gone for the infababy ultimo 4 wheel travel system as this looks the same style as the icandy and I paid £360 for mine as in sale at the moment.

umabb · 14/01/2020 13:04

I've not looked at anything - had no idea a pushchair /pram would be £1500! Hmm that's madness

Cb31 · 14/01/2020 13:48

You're all so organised! I'm going to get researching after my 20 week scan tomorrow. It's great to hear recommendations

Smiffette · 14/01/2020 15:09

My parents ordered ours, only last week and not due for delivery until mid Feb! It will be going to theirs as mum said it's bad luck to have new baby stuff in the house 🙈

Mj2196 · 14/01/2020 15:26

I was determined to wait until after our scan in 2 weeks but We’ve just put a deposit down on our egg pram and one of those cybex lie flat car seats and rotating base . We got the lot for 1400 as The colour pram was in the sale 🙈 I won’t be paying any more off it or buying anything else until at least 28 weeks though
