Hey! Just wanted to start up a thread because I couldn’t find another one, just got my BFP today after about 6 months of trying. Due date is 1st august! Still feeling nervous as I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past but both before 6 weeks, so ill be keeping my fingers crossed and wont let myself get too excited until that deadline has passed!

Hope to hear from other ladies due at the same time, and hear your BFP stories :) xx

Hi everyone :) congratulations on all your BFPs!! Yesterday at 13dpo I got a faint line on a FRER, and this morning i got a much darker line so looks like I have my BFP too Shock i am feeling really calm mainly because i can hardly believe it. I am 29 and this is my first.
I truly thought i was out this month (cycle 3)!!
Symptoms wise Ive had none except a bit headachey today and yesterday, and definitely feeling hungrier than normal.

MummaMonk · 29/11/2019 10:08

@DieCryHate
How are you doing?
I've suddenly come over all sad and guilty about #1 suddenly only having me to himself for another 8months 😱

#2 was planned and much wanted and I am so very happy and greatful but suddenly the guilt has hit! X

CrazyCoonz · 29/11/2019 10:34

@Mothertoone2 Same due date as me :)

I've had such a lot of lower back pain in the last 24 hours, made it difficult to fall asleep. Woke up again in the night needing to eat, hope this doesn't carry on or I'll be putting on so much weight!

Did another test today and line progression is looking good plus a lot of white cm which is reassuring.

Em012 · 29/11/2019 11:21

Got it confirmed by the doctor and all being well will be seeing the midwife 20th of December😊

blackpinkinyourarea · 29/11/2019 12:15

Is anyone else having really bizzare, vivid dreams? That's one of my only main symptoms so far!

LucyC2019 · 29/11/2019 12:28

@Em012 when you say you had it confirmed by the doctor... did he test there and then... mine just took me at my word this morning and had me out the door in about 3 mins.... took blood pressure and confirmed my last period date... gave me a form.... and packed me off. Felt a bit deflated. Didnt even feel like I could ask any questions.

MummaMonk · 29/11/2019 12:59

@LucyC2019
With my last pregnancy I didn't even see the dr I told him over the phone and he referred to the midwife from there. Tbh I think that's pretty standard. If you've done a hpt there's not really any point in them repeating it.

Plus the midwives will have a better idea for answering any questions!

Em012 · 29/11/2019 13:23

@LucyC2019 yer they took a test but I'm also on medication so it had to be reviewed to see what I could continue taking so dont worry it's the midwife who's important 😊

Georgiajuliaa · 29/11/2019 13:27

Hey guys need ADVICE!
I was told by my doctors I had PCOS and me and my boyfriend have been trying to conceive for around a year and lately I have not been feeling myself (my periods are very irregular) and I have not had one in 3 months now so I took a test and there is a faint line only just visible I am just wanting to know if anyone else has had this before and looking for some advice!
(I know this chat isn’t about this I am sorry I am new and not sure how to work this)

LanieM87 · 29/11/2019 17:18

Has anyone else experienced much in the way of spotting?? It's only a teeny bit and it's happened 3 times over the course of the week. I've read it's normal. But I can't help but worry!

Macbless · 29/11/2019 18:04

I've been burping and farting too. I keep thinking that I'm having period type cramping and then I pass wind and feel better.

I've told a couple of friends. I couldn't keep it to myself and thought that if I have a miscarriage I'm pretty sure I'd want their support so why not sure the happy stuff

@LanieM87 I've not had any spotting but I know friends who have a lot and have gone on to have their baby. Guess you could contact doctors/111 if it gets worse. Hope it settles soon.

@LucyC2019 @Em012 i thought I could just book an appointment with the midwife but the surgery says I have to go to the doctor 1st. I wondered if they would re-do the test. Seems like different places do different things!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend xx

DieCryHate · 29/11/2019 19:17

Hi @MummaMonk, I'm concerned things aren't good. I had orangey blood earlier and this evening I've had some more pinky red blood. I did another test, admittedly after drinking quite a lot of water, and it's now negative Sad I'll test again first thing tomorrow morning. This is so pants after my ectopic and surgery in May.

In terms over guilt for the first one, I totally get you. That was one of my concerns but we held his birthday party at the weekend, first one we've invited his actual friends and their siblings not just our family. Watching them all play together was wonderful and very reassuring.

How are you getting on? How's everyone else doing? Happy Friday.

Girlinglasses · 29/11/2019 19:21

@DieCryHate crossing my fingers for you, it's such a stressful time. Hopefully it's just because you overhydrated. Try (easier said than done!!) to relax this evening and text again first thing- sending you positive thoughts!

@Georgiajuliaa a faint line is still a line so that seems like a good start. HcG doubles every two days at this stage so maybe try testing again the day after tomorrow, first thing in the morning, to see if the line is any darker? Xxx

meggybug · 29/11/2019 19:32

Hey everyone! This is my first time pregnancy and excited and scared in equal measure! I tested yesterday at 11dpo and got a very clear BFP then took a digital test for good measure! I'm a little apprehensive as AF wasn't actually due for another 6 days so trying to wait until that doesn't come before I go overboard.

On the Christmas party thing...so I found out yesterday morning which was the day of my Xmas do (stupidly early for it I know!). Was tricky to explain away lack of drinking until I realised how drunk everyone else was and then I could get away with saying I was taking turn about alcohol drink / soft drink. And they just happened to only see my every second drink. Seems to have worked 😂

Jojo19834 · 29/11/2019 20:13

@meggybug that’s brilliant, love that idea. Might double up, antibiotics to explain why I am drinking less. It’s my first time too so have no idea what to expect, plenty of people that can tell us on here so we are in good hands

@DieCryHate hope everything goes well tomorrow morning. As people say, some blood isn’t a bad thing necessarily so hopefully that’s what this is, some innocent spotting

@Macbless it really depends where you are clearly, mine is a self referral and no need to see doctor. I’ll do mine this weekend, I had to register at a doctors first as I moved recently

I’m a little sad that all the good food and drink at Christmas is off limits, but much happier the reason why!

Rara87 · 29/11/2019 20:23

Wow lots more posts since I came on here! Congratulations on all of your bfps!! 😊

For those of you gettting cramps, how painful are they? I’ve read that mild cramps are normal but I don’t know if I would say mine are mild. I’m not doubled over with pain but at times they are pretty uncomfortable and causing me to wince a bit. Maybe I’m just a weakling 🤣

DanielleG96 · 29/11/2019 21:57

@Rara87 I've been getting cramps every day but not all day just on and off throughout the day. I'd say mine were exactly the same as my menstrual cramps. I was getting worried but I've had no blood or spotting so I think it might just be everything stretching and moving? Are yours on and off or have you only had them once?

Dragonfly909 · 29/11/2019 22:46

Hi all! Joining in as due date is 1 August. Got BFP on Monday, as others have said, I'm trying not to get too excited at the moment... First pregnancy and I'm feeling quite paranoid! So far I am experiencing increasing amounts of cramping,
@Rara87 mine mainly feels like a stitch, but I did have a massive stabbing pain the day i got the BFP, before I did the test, which was so painful I couldn't breathe or move for a moment! Also super bloated and having hot flushes Blush

Girlinglasses · 30/11/2019 06:07

@Rara87 @Dragonfly909 I am having more pain than I expected too, it is making me really nervous. I do wonder if I'm over-aware of it though, and if I weren't so worried I wouldn't notice as much? I'm getting some cramping and some sharp pain - that being said it feels nothing like my usual AF pain and I am VERY bloated and gassy, so I actually think a lot of my pain is wind 😂🙈

Jojo19834 · 30/11/2019 06:13

@Girlinglasses @Rara87 @Dragonfly909 mine isn’t too bad but I am aware something is happening down there. My thought yesterday was ‘how do people not realise they are pregnant’ I definitely feel activity but I think my cramping is largely wind!

@dragonfly909 congratulations on the BFP, first timer here too!

Rara87 · 30/11/2019 07:35

@DanielleG96 I’ve been getting them on and off too, sometimes have no cramps at all.
@Girlinglassesok me too the bloatedness is making my jeans very uncomfortable. I agree, being more aware definitely must be a factor too
@Jojo19834 haha I find it hard to believe that too!

Well thanks ladies that’s made me feel better 😊. Are any of you taking supplements?

falkor32 · 30/11/2019 07:40

Hi Everybody, I’d love to join!

I got my BFP on Wednesday evening - quite a strong FRER and 2-3 weeks on a CB which I think is about right as I was 13/14dpo on Wednesday. I haven’t tested again since because I don’t want to stress myself out - I’ve had some mild AF like cramping but thankfully no spotting so I hope everything is okay? Keep getting some thin and milky CM 🤞🏻 which I’m assuming is normal?

I already had a drs appointment booked for the 11th Dec for something else so I was going to tell them - that should be okay right? Next week I’m in the USA for work so I can’t do the drs any sooner 😫 ... So nervous to go but this was arranged months ago so I can’t do anything about it now!

This is my first ever baby so no idea what’s normal, how I should be feeling etc. It’s weird, it’s almost as if it’s not real but it is and I’m a mix of excited and nervous and scared and anxious all at the same time!

DanielleG96 · 30/11/2019 08:17

@Rara87 glad to know I'm not the only one with the cramps! I'm taking the pregnacare conception multivitamin until they run out as they're suitable for up to 3 months pregnant and then I'll move onto the pregnacare pregnancy ones

Jojo19834 · 30/11/2019 08:19

@falkor32 congratulations and welcome! I had a tiny bit of spotting on 2 days during my 2ww, one I think timed with implantation, second, no idea! I know people say spotting is normal but I’m pretty sure panic will sweep over me when it happens. I did a third test this morning (first 2 were Wednesday eve like you!). I wanted to check the line had got stronger, and thankfully it has, much :-)

Think 11th will be fine, however, is it worth calling the reception of your gp as mine is self referral so they just gave me the details of how to do this?

LanieM87 · 30/11/2019 08:35

I'm so pleased everyone is is experiencing wind! 🙈 I originally thought it was cramping but as time has gone on I've realised it's been trapped wind. I'm so bloated! Apart from a bit of spotting this week I've not had any other symptoms at all.
