Hey! Just wanted to start up a thread because I couldn’t find another one, just got my BFP today after about 6 months of trying. Due date is 1st august! Still feeling nervous as I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past but both before 6 weeks, so ill be keeping my fingers crossed and wont let myself get too excited until that deadline has passed!

Hope to hear from other ladies due at the same time, and hear your BFP stories :) xx

The Christmas party is going to be difficult! I think I am going to be using the old antibiotics line, which is a cop out but it will be careful too early to tell work anything!

Moominmiss · 28/11/2019 07:31

Hi everyone!
Tentatively saying hello, I’m 37, already have 3 children, but just started ttc 3 months ago for a baby with my new partner (it will be his first).
I got my bfp on 25th November, 5 days before my expected af. I did 3 tests that day, 3 the next and 3 yesterday lol. All good bfp’s.
I have a clear blue digi that I’m saving until the weekend or next week when I’ll be officially late, but going by last af date etc my edd is 3rd August. Although as I’ve had 3 previous c sections I know I will be scheduled to have one 12-14 days before my due date so likely a July baby.
Congrats to everyone else, hoping you all have smooth pregnancies!

LucyC2019 · 28/11/2019 07:33

@macbless Looks like you and I are in similar boats.... I was late but didnt want to test and be disappointed. Was planning on waiting till tomorrow to be sure... but the other half nagged me into it Tuesday night 🤦🏻‍♀️.

I'm 38, 39 in Jan... so wasnt sure it would happen either.

I guess all good things come to those who wait.

Fingers crossed all our little ones thrive and dont cause us too much sickness along the way. Xx

LucyC2019 · 28/11/2019 07:36

@LanieM87 ..... oh piddle.... hadnt even thought that far ahead.... antibiotics for the Christmas do isnt a bad shout you know... I might pinch that idea otherwise my lot will bust me. I'm out with some of them Friday this week and need a quick fix excuse for then as I dont want to not go... hmm... xx

LanieM87 · 28/11/2019 07:41

@LucyC2019 can you say you need to be up early the next day for a family gathering or trip out, so you want to be feeling fresh??

LucyC2019 · 28/11/2019 08:01

@LaineM87 Not sure that will wash with my lot... raging alcoholics hahaha. I joke of course... but they will think something is up. 🤦🏻‍♀️ xx

PurpleRain25 · 28/11/2019 11:40

Hi, hope I can join in!

I'm 26, just got my BFP yesterday on a CB digitial after a few squinters on the cheapies. I'm still in total shock to be fair!

Have worked out my due date is 5th August 2020 all being well.

Just phoned my doctors this morning and they have booked me in to see the midwife on Monday afternoon. She said it's still early but there's no harm getting things started! So exciting!

Hope everyone is keeping well Smile xx

glitterbomb234 · 28/11/2019 12:53

I'm stressing about the whole Christmas party thing too! My boss is one of my closest friends I think I will tell her early anyway once I've told my closest family. Has anyone got any Christmas surprises planned for telling family?

PurpleRain25 · 28/11/2019 13:50

@glitterbomb234 Just to chime in on the Christmas party thing.. Mine is next Saturday (7th) and my mum and I work for the same company! I've told her I'm considering not going but she's trying to talk me round. Not sure how I'm going to wing that one Confused

PurpleRain25 · 28/11/2019 13:51

Ps. I am going to tell her soon, just not yet! Lol

Jojo19834 · 28/11/2019 14:49

@glitterbomb234 I was hoping to arrange my 6 week scan the day before going for a trip to Scotland with my dad and brothers but apparently too early so need to wait a few more days. Wanted to reveal to them then, as no hiding it from them when away together. I still can but a picture and some reassurance would have been nice.

What about others? I’ve told my mum but only because she came to my embryo transfer appointment with me, only fair to know the outcome!

The antibiotic one is good, will have to plan this well otherwise it will be out too soon!

Jojo19834 · 28/11/2019 14:50

Congratulations to all those that have just found out and joined recently, exciting times!!

CrazyCoonz · 28/11/2019 16:27

Congratulations on your BFP @PurpleRain25

I'm going to have to tell my mum tomorrow as we are going to a hen party on Saturday and I need her to help me keep it a secret that I'm not drinking. Thinking of lemonade masquerading as a G&T.

Had to tell my sister yesterday as she had booked me a massage as a birthday present a while ago. I rang them yesterday and they said to postpone it until after 12w. I'm rubbish at lying so had to tell her why.

Lots of lower back ache after the gym today even though I didn't do a lot. I'm so warm too, temp is up 0.3 degree in one day! Had to turn the heating off and DH is freezing.

LucyC2019 · 28/11/2019 21:04

Weve decided to tell my mum (mainly because she can see through me if I lie) and immediate family and going to do it with an advent calendar on Sunday.... going to write on the top and say I've written their names on already.... but have nan/grandma/granny ... grandad/pops/grandpa as their names....

I'm still trying to get my own head round it though

Hows everyone feeling today??

LanieM87 · 28/11/2019 21:33

Aw the advent calendar sounds like a lovely idea! @LucyC2019

Congrats to all the new BFPs!

I've had some pelvic pain again today. Felt super nauseous and headachey this morning, but it did go off. I also seem to be burping a lot 🙈

LucyC2019 · 28/11/2019 21:45

I'm glad it's not just me burping 🤦🏻‍♀️. I've never been able to burp.... until now.

Lucylou22039 · 28/11/2019 23:21

Can I join please ladies
Just got a BFP for my first child been trying around 5/6 months so all quite new still

According to the last period date method I should be due around 6th August.

Congratulations to everyone on here too Smile

I have a few mild cramps but I've googled it and all looks normal I think xx

Jojo19834 · 29/11/2019 03:15

@Lucylou22039 congratulations, I’m no expert but cramping does seem to be normal, it’s the progesterone. Severe cramping though probably shouldn’t be ignored but I definitely have the feeling something is going on down there. I had the worlds worst bloat yesterday, not sure white bread is going to be in my diet again for a long time!

There are some maternity Christmas tops, if I can keep it secret until then, might pull one of them out Christmas Day as my reveal. Again, not drinking Christmas Day will be an eyebrow raising scenario in my house!

Jojo19834 · 29/11/2019 03:17

As you can all tell by the time, I have succumbed for past few nights to waking in the night for couple of hours

DanielleG96 · 29/11/2019 05:04

@Jojo19834 for the past 3 nights I have woken up wide awake, bursting for a wee and completely starving by 4.30/5 and I just can't get back to sleep! I thought it was just me!

Jojo19834 · 29/11/2019 07:17

@DanielleG96 I think if I hadn’t been asleep at 9 then I would have been just like you, but because I am, it’s early enough to eventually go back to sleep. I don’t normally have breakfast until I get to the office at 9.30 (2hour commute and not hungry when I start out) but I have an Ella bar as starving and won’t make it!!

Mothertoone2 · 29/11/2019 07:40
