Araz208 · 26/11/2019 14:11

Hey! Just wanted to start up a thread because I couldn’t find another one, just got my BFP today after about 6 months of trying. Due date is 1st august! Still feeling nervous as I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past but both before 6 weeks, so ill be keeping my fingers crossed and wont let myself get too excited until that deadline has passed!

Hope to hear from other ladies due at the same time, and hear your BFP stories :) xx

@diaryofattcer I would say for me it was 100% worth it. To hear medical professionals reassure you and let you know that everything looks healthy and is as it should be really did lift a weight off my shoulders! As I haven't had nausea yet and had some spotting/cramping to see my little babies heartbeat was amazing and I hope will stop me worrying as much! If you can do an early scan I would go for it! It just puts your mind at ease!

Jojo19834 · 19/12/2019 04:41

I agree with @DanielleG96, I feel so much better after my scan. I have booked another for just over 3 weeks time to give me another boost. It think the not knowing until 12 weeks is the hardest so if you can afford it, do it

@CharlotteCx I am 7+1 now, we have a mix of due dates now on here so you can get advice from those going through it and those that have just gone through it

So, I’m yawning all the time but not sleeping through the night grrrrrr last day at work and I’m going to go in late, can I make the most of it sleep wise?! Of course not!

Girlinglasses · 19/12/2019 06:51

Welcome to all the newbies and any questions just ask!! @DanielleG96 agh that photo is amazing! I'm defo going in for an early scan- my local EPU said I can get one on nhs due to previous miscarriage. I'm not back in the uk until end of December though so I'll be nearly 9 weeks. I'm 7 weeks today and it feels like such a win to get to another "milestone"- anyone else feeling that way?

I'm managing to keep my nausea mostly under control with grazing but I am literally waking up every 2-3 hours at night and having to eat something otherwise I end up feeling horrendously sick. I also have zero appetite in the evenings at the mo 🙄

LucyC2019 · 19/12/2019 07:20

Ladies, I read somewhere that you need to drink loads of water before a scan... is that right? And if so.... how much and how soon before... because this little bug already thinks my bladder is a play toy I think 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ and I'm wondering if I'll make it to the scan if I'm full like a camel. Thanks xx

Frazzlerock · 19/12/2019 07:22

@DanielleG96 what a wonderful pic! Congrats on the successful scan!

@Girlinglasses I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and agree totally about the milestones. I find every day a milestone but the weekly ones are a real triumph!

As for sickness, I think mine is (TMI WARNING) bowel related rather than stomach. Every single morning I've had the squits bad for the past week. It's woken me up! Then absolutely fine for the rest of the day. So I'm taking that as another sign that preg hormones are raging and therefore all is well.
Is anyone else getting bottom trouble??

On that note I'd like to say welcome to the group @CharlotteCx 😂

Frazzlerock · 19/12/2019 07:24

@LucyC2019 I would make sure your bladder is full in case they do an abdominal scan. They will want you to empty it if they have to get the vagcam out

My scan is tomorrow - eeek!

Frazzlerock · 19/12/2019 07:25

@Babykent2019 how are you doing this morning?

Tink12345 · 19/12/2019 07:33

@Frazzlerock I just spat my tea out reading vagcam hahaha

LucyC2019 · 19/12/2019 07:37

@frazzlerock 😂😂😂😂😂 Vagcam should be the groups hashtag hahaha that's brilliant. Xx

BabyC2020 · 19/12/2019 07:41

I am currently 5 weeks +1, I am due 19/08/20
I want to be so excited but I am so scared as I had a previous miscarriage in October at 6 weeks.

I am praying and keeping everything crossed for a smooth pregnancy.

LanieM87 · 19/12/2019 07:42

So I've woken up this morning to a lot more spotting then I have before. I feel sick. It was almost red.
I don't know what to do. I don't know if I can face going into work.

DanielleG96 · 19/12/2019 07:45

@LucyC2019 I had a really full bladder for my scan last night, and on the ultrasound it looked like a mountain! So they actually got me to go to the toilet and empty it half way (do a slow wee and count to 12) as if it's really full it's not comfortable for you and can disrupt their view! So a half full bladder is fine! You don't want to be crossing your legs and feeling like you need to go to the toilet!

Jojo19834 · 19/12/2019 07:45

Agree re milestones, made 7 weeks yesterday and I am counting the hurdles down :-) 8 weeks Christmas Day, 9 NY day and on

I am wearing some Christmas leggings to our work lunch and I bought the maternity ones as I thought they would have more room but now they won’t stay up as I don’t have a bump. Good for eating Christmas lunch in though! Lol

Jojo19834 · 19/12/2019 07:47

@LucyC2019 mine was vagcam the other day so empty bladder but when I had my transfer it was belly ultrasound and needed full bladder. I think you can fill it quite quick if you drink close to the scan. They will let you go immediately after as they know it’s uncomfortable!

Polly1116 · 19/12/2019 07:57

Yeah one of my first signs with all my pregnancy’s is tummy trouble. When I say all, I’ve had 2 healthy pregnancies, 1 chemical and 2 miscarriages, and hoping I’m on my 3rd healthy one 🤞🏻. I’ve for an early scan booked for next Friday when I’ll be 8+2 x

LanieM87 · 19/12/2019 08:13

Booked in for a scan at EPU on Saturday morning at 9, the wait is going to be torcherous.

jennielm · 19/12/2019 08:18

Hoping all is well for those of you needing scans to reassure. 💗

Autumn20 · 19/12/2019 09:03

Tentatively checking in as got a BFP a few days ago and have an EDD of 26th August. All being well, this will be my second.

Keeping fingers crossed for everyone waiting for early scans!

Tink12345 · 19/12/2019 09:33

Booking in date 9th Jan (9+3). She said I can bring someone if I like. Do I drag my OH out of work? Is it needed? What do they actually do? I figured it was all form filling

PandaPink · 19/12/2019 10:04

@tink12345 they will need to know dad's details too family history job, smoking status other children etc

@LucyC2019 I am obese so they always start with abdominal and then go to vagcam which I might as well walk in and go "look I've not bothered filling my bladder let's go straight to the vagcam" haha I don't have a huge belly but without fail I fill my bladder they press down hard I want to pee myself and then we go to vagcam.

Moominmiss · 19/12/2019 10:27

So.....I’m basically still in limbo 😩
Went for a scan. They went straight to vaginal one but whatever. So I thought by my lmp I would be 7+3, however she measured me at 6 weeks.
She could see a sac, a yolk sac, and fetal pole, but no heartbeat.
So she said either my dates are slightly out, and I ovulated or implanted later or baby stopped growing a week ago and my body is waiting to pass it.
My lmp was 28th October, and I got a positive test albeit faint on 25th November. So I’ve been trying to work out if it could even be possible if I’m only 6 weeks.
Anyway, they’ve booked me in to go back again on New Year’s Eve which is 12 days from now, so I’ll know for sure then as I will either still measure 6 weeks and know that that’s it, or the hope is that it will have progressed and we’ll see a 7+ week embryo with a heartbeat.
So back to the waiting game.
On the plus, I’ve not had anymore pains or bleeding since yesterday

Babykent2019 · 19/12/2019 11:51

Hi guys,
Frazzle- trying to keep postitive

Thanks for the support. So no more blood today or since Monday, no pain , no clots etc.
Called Epu and I need a referral from my gp , urgh. Plan is to test again in the morning and take my sample in the doctor. He said he'd check it then and go from there if I'm still pregnant.

The blood I had on Monday was weird it was like a gush/ wetting myself (but without clots) then nothing at all? Any way we'll wait an see.

I still feel bloated, have gas, constipation and today my boobs feel hard. They haven't started hurting yet but are bigger.

NamiSwan · 19/12/2019 12:26

@Moominmiss sorry to hear you are still in limbo - sounds torturous Sad

keeping my fingers crossed for everyone else awaiting scans

I'm 7+3 today and my nausea has really eased off yesterday/today. Trying not to panic. Over the weekend and Mon/Tues it was horrific, I couldn't function at all and could barely eat. Lost 2 pounds in four days. Then yesterday it eased off, still nauseous but could actually function, eat etc. Today's the same. I don't want to go back to having the horrific nausea but also scared that it easing off this early is a bad sign Confused. Has anyone else had this?

PandaPink · 19/12/2019 14:09

@NamiSwan Im the same as you it has eased off for me after losing 5lbs over the last week today I feel like I want to eat everything! I'm not too worried. I had terrible nausea and sickness the last time and it was an anembryonic pregnancy. My friend is 17 weeks pregnant and has not had a single bit of nausea or sickness. It means nothing really.

crazee · 19/12/2019 14:44

I've booked myself in for a private scan on 2nd Jan when I will be 7 weeks by dates, but I think more like 6+3. Just hope it's not too early to see heart beat?? I think I might actually believe I'm really pregnant then. I'm still a bit in shock 😂
