Hey! Just wanted to start up a thread because I couldn’t find another one, just got my BFP today after about 6 months of trying. Due date is 1st august! Still feeling nervous as I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past but both before 6 weeks, so ill be keeping my fingers crossed and wont let myself get too excited until that deadline has passed!

Hope to hear from other ladies due at the same time, and hear your BFP stories :) xx

Fantastic news @Jojo ! Wonderful news!

jennielm · 16/12/2019 15:32

@Jojo19834 @nl192 great news for you both today.. my mantra with my last successful pregnancy was today I’m pregnant, that’s all I can hope for!! I’m actually still testing every morning!! 😬

Macbless · 16/12/2019 15:35

@Jojo19834 that's lovely news. Pleased for you. Must have been exciting to hear the heartbeat too. Maybe you'll be a lucky and not get too much in the way of symptoms xx

Jojo19834 · 16/12/2019 16:12

@macbless Appears that there is no ‘hearing’ of heartbeat, you see it, that bit surprised me as was expecting to hear it! Don’t know if that’s normal or not but she did say it was unusual to use caliphers (?) at this stage

@Frazzlerock thank you, waiting with baited breath with you for Friday xx

@jennielm I’m the same, tested this morning just in case. Think now though it won’t help us as we have passed chemical stage and not sure it would pick up a drop from MMC before other things happen so not planning to buy any more, was my last!

PandaPink · 16/12/2019 16:16

@MaisieMolly I'm going to tell family on Xmas as I won't be drinking. I don't quite know how to put it without sounding rude "please don't get too excited or I don't want any congratulations just yet" cos I know they will and I'm a worrying wreck inside. Not once have I had a positive experience/good news getting a scan x

jennielm · 16/12/2019 16:23

@Jojo19834 I’m only 5 weeks today and lost last pregnancy at 6 + 6 so still got a ways to go 😔

Mangoandlimes · 16/12/2019 16:55

Congrats everyone on your early scans, wish I had thought of that now! Am undecided whether to tell parents at Christmas or not, but they are staying with us and will def notice I'm not drinking!

I'm now 7 weeks and nausea has def ramped up a gear. Have been feeling sick most of the weekend and today. Not actually been sick and still able to eat, but constantly feel 🤢. Odd as my first pregnancy I had hardly any morning sickness. Now it's all day sickness!

22Ash22 · 16/12/2019 17:04

@Frazzlerock I’m so glad your appointment is in the morning then, saves waiting around all day, and I really hope the consultant is on time for you!!

Macbless · 16/12/2019 17:28

We've ended up telling all our immediate family. I still feel a bit stressed by it. I told them that it was very early etc, not to get too excited. But I think a lot of them are already thinking it's a done deal when we've still got a long way to go.
My DH's brother and sister and their partners were relieved as they had already guessed and were struggling not to say anything (we've just been on holiday together).
I think they will all be supportive if things were to go wrong so it not a bad thing they know.

Tink12345 · 16/12/2019 18:02

Does anyone have any pregnancy apps on their phones? I have Ovia (I used to have the fertility one but now on the baby one) and got baby centre recently (not so keen on this one). Any others that people would recommend?

MaisieMolly · 16/12/2019 18:25

I got Ovia as well and seems to be good so far.

Is anyone else finding that they’re burping loads? Seems to be linked to the nausea?

jennielm · 16/12/2019 18:36

@Tink12345 I’ve use Ovia for last 2 pregnancies and going to stick with it for this one...all others just seem a bit woolly to me!!

Amanda3188 · 16/12/2019 18:56

Hi got my BFP two weeks ago currently 6+1. I have one DD who is 5 and I had a very uncomplicated pregnancy, but I've put on a lot of weight since then and I'm worried there is a higher chance of miscarriage etc. Went to my doctor today who literally said she couldn't do anything for me and that I had to just self refer to the maternity unit in my local hospital. Feel kinda isolated, hoping someone could give me a bit of positivity.

Cinnamon18 · 16/12/2019 19:20

Hi all,

Sorry I posted then disappeared 🙈! But I had my early scan today...all looked great and puts my due date at 3rd August. Delighted to read others have had good news as well.

Would be keen to join the Facebook group- what's the name?

Ya,
Hanna

jennielm · 16/12/2019 19:27

@amanda3188

  1. I weigh 15 stone, and apart from a completely unrelated issue, it hasn’t affected my pregnancies - I realise those things are bad; if you have read my previous posts - but what I’m trying to say is that they weren’t weight related

  2. booking appointment is very factual and a midwife appointment makes as much sense as the Doctor

You’re not alone.xx

Frazzlerock · 16/12/2019 19:42

Fab news @Cinnamon18!

I use Pregnancy+ app. I really like it. Shows an image of the baby in 3D each week

Firstmummytobe · 16/12/2019 19:57

So I thought my scan was Thursday, turns out it’s Wednesday so even better 😂😂😂

Firstmummytobe · 16/12/2019 19:58

Share pics of your scans of you feel comfortable ladies, give us some piece of mind🤣😭

Jojo19834 · 16/12/2019 20:24

Here’s mine, I’m calling it the blob at the moment. Inside the black area you can see baby blob at the bottom and sac blob at the top!

Anyone due August 2020?
Jojo19834 · 16/12/2019 20:25

Good news @Firstmummytobe, one less day!!

Jojo19834 · 16/12/2019 20:28

@Cinnamon18 congratulations on the scan, I’m 5 August so just behind you. Facebook group is called 0820. Let me know if you can’t find and I’ll try getting the link. Largely using this page but will flit past the other from time to time to see however everyone is going

Amanda3188 · 16/12/2019 21:02

@jennielm thanks for getting back to me, I think my appointment today (if you can call it an appointment) has just worried me more. I remember with my 1st they checked my weight/blood pressure asked me how I was feeling etc but the GP just asked when my last period was and said I'm due around August 10th then told me to go online and refer myself to the hospital. Trying to get DH to agree to a private scan but he just thinks everything will be fine, I wish I that optimistic.

Cinnamon18 · 16/12/2019 21:16

@Jojo19834 thanks so much I found it there and applied to join. I'm in one for my daughter and have made some amazing friends- we still chat every day.

LucyC2019 · 16/12/2019 22:01

@amanda3188 I said to my DH that I wanted an early scan for reassurance... then found a discount code on Groupon and got it for just over half price! £44 (instead of £75) for the peace of mind over Christmas is well worth it in my eyes. Maybe just explain that it would help you relax and enjoy it more to know that all is as it should be. Xx
