Araz208 · 26/11/2019 14:11

Hey! Just wanted to start up a thread because I couldn’t find another one, just got my BFP today after about 6 months of trying. Due date is 1st august! Still feeling nervous as I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past but both before 6 weeks, so ill be keeping my fingers crossed and wont let myself get too excited until that deadline has passed!

Hope to hear from other ladies due at the same time, and hear your BFP stories :) xx

Welcome to the newbies on the thread!

@frazzlerock thinking of you and hope the scan goes well.

My sickness is so awful this morning 😭 yesterday it wasn't too bad and I had a bit of a panic about symptoms going away but seems it was my body giving me a small break before it came back with a vengeance.

Frazzlerock · 13/12/2019 08:19

Thanks @NamiSwan but its actually next Friday so I've got a bit of a wait yet.
Is it weird to say I'm jealous of your symptoms? Grin
My boobs are still not sore and rock like, like they were before the bleed, just a bit sensitive. My body is on a wind up I think.
No blood since yesterday morning so I'm hoping the progesterone is working and our little fighter is growing nicely.

Girlinglasses · 13/12/2019 10:44

I thought I had gotten away easy with morning sickness, and then BAM yesterday, at exactly six weeks, the horrendous nausea set in!! It woke me up several times in the night.

Any tips??

Jojo19834 · 13/12/2019 11:04

@Girlinglasses oddly jealous, I’m 6+2 and nothing. I know it could be just round the corner though.

I have heard that ginger is good, so I bought some ginger tea, ginger in dark chocolate (?) and some breadsticks as little and often and plain is meant to be good. But just what I have read on other people’s posts.

I’m off the Edinburgh today for the weekend so hoping it doesn’t appear then!

NimmuGreen · 13/12/2019 11:33

Thanks for the new thread.

Age: 31
EDD: 01/07/2020
12 week scan on 18th Dec. Had one at 8 weeks and all was fine so fingers crossed for next week too.

This is my first pregnancy and I'm permanently anxious but would really like to try and enjoy it...hopefully I'll feel a bit more relaxed after the scan next week.

NimmuGreen · 13/12/2019 11:34

Sorry! wrong thread!

PandaPink · 13/12/2019 12:09

@Jojo19834 please don't me jealous. My friend is 16 weeks and has not had a single bit of nausea, she has sore boobs and that is it! Baby is perfectly fine! Please don't be jealous!!! Lol

@Girlinglasses I am 6 weeks today and waking up the past few nights feeling ill. O don't think it helps that I can't eat much and my stomach is empty. I was 16st 1lb before finding out. I am now 15st 10lb Im glad I have the weight to lose. Bread sticks sounds like a great idea actually! X

LanieM87 · 13/12/2019 13:14

I've started to experience a bit of nausea but it seems to be after eating and more so on an evening! It was awful last night, I was knackered so went to bed at 9 🙈 but felt so sick that it was after midnight before I finally fell asleep, then I needed to get up a few hours later for the loo! Haha.

It's annoying but I hope these are all positive signs!

Dragonfly909 · 13/12/2019 14:26

@frazzlerock haha sickie burps do not sound good! Also good luck 🍀
@girlinglasses @pandapink it seems to be six weeks when the nausea starts! I'm so sick of feeling sick. Nothing seems to really help 😭 wondering whether to tell my manager soon as I'm definitely not 100% at work.
Anything sweet is off the menu at the moment, basically living on plain carbs...

Tink12345 · 13/12/2019 15:43

Booked a scan for the 27th. Would be 7+4 by then. Still dare not get excited. Hope everyone is doing okay

TerribleImagination · 13/12/2019 16:01

Hi everyone!

I’m new to Mumsnet, but have been following this thread silently for a while, so finally signed up to say hi Smile

Stats:
37
First baby
5+3 weeks
Due 12th August going by LMP

Super excited but still super cautious! I’ve just had my booking appointment with the midwife booked in today, for NYE, and booked an early scan for the 28th when I’ll be 7+3 - so it’s starting to feel more real now!

Keeping fingers crossed!

TerribleImagination · 13/12/2019 16:02

Sorry that should have been 5+2 weeks! (Getting ahead of myself haha)

Goodchild1 · 13/12/2019 16:15

Hi everyone

I am new too but am already obsessed with reading all the threads on here.

My stats are:
Age 30
First baby
Due 01/08

I got a lot of BFN's before finally getting my BFP at nearly six weeks - currently just over 7 weeks.

I get a lot of waves of nausea but have not actually been sick yet, a lot of reflux, my boobs feel really full (if that makes sense) and all I want to eat is just plain pasta and cheese.

I'm also still getting cramping (like mild period pain) but this is quite frequent which I am a bit worried about.

Waiting on my midwife appt - do i bring my OH to this or is it just me?

I'm also panicking about telling my family, my sister (1 year apart) is my best friend but she is not a fan of kids so I know she will think I'm mad, my dad frequently tells me he is not ready to be a grandad anytime soon (he has young children), luckily my MIL will be very excited to learn the news.....although I don't really want to tell until I've had the first scan as I am so paranoid it will all go wrong.

Frazzlerock · 13/12/2019 16:16

Good news @Tink12345

@Dragonfly909 I'm not off sweet things, but deffo preferring very plain carby type foods.

Hi @TerribleImagination welcome to the group and also welcome to MN. I've been on MN for about 100 years. Well maybe 12/13 years. It has changed a LOT!

Good news from me, my boobs are hurting again, I deffo have very slight nausea and don't think I'm imagining it, and my nails are growing beautifully Grin.

Girlinglasses · 13/12/2019 18:28

@Frazzlerock so glad to hear that!! Keeping fingers crossed!
I've been having waves of sickness for the last week or so but since yesterday it's just pretty much constant nausea- so much so that last night I dreamt I was retching and it woke me up 😭 I've just been to the shop and stocked up on nuts, rice cakes, raisins and ginger tea as I don't really want to put up a pile of weight from snacking on crap before I even make it to the second trimester!! I feel like I could eat my body weight in pasta and bread though 😬

My sister was more or less nausea free throughout her two pregnancies so I thought I would be lucky but it seems I take after my mother!

jennielm · 13/12/2019 18:45

@Frazzlerock that is great news...fingers crossed that means all is well for you. I have really mild nausea all day whenever I don’t eat...Such a shame, I’ll Just need to keep eating!! GrinGrinGrin

Firstmummytobe · 13/12/2019 19:04

Hey guys, been inactive for a few days as this nausea is in full flow and I think I’ve been sick more times than I’ve said hello the past few days😂

As for stats....
I’m 7+1 today, Due date 1st august
I’m 19, 1st baby 2nd pregnancy.

I think every symptom I’ve read on the internet has kicked in, I can’t wait to go to the midwife and my scan on the 18th (next Thursday) to find wether there is 2 little mo it’s or just one, I’m secretly hoping there is just one as o wouldn’t be able to cope with twins at such a young age, however there was another sac visible on my scan.

Anyone had previous pregnancies and can advise things for nausea???

Em0179 · 13/12/2019 20:10

@Frazzlerockhope everything goes well this week And it’s good news next Friday x

I’m 30
Second baby, my ds is 11
I’m 5+6 and due 08.08 according to last period
I have nausea and sickness has kicked in, boobs are like twice the size and I was having cramping which seems to have eased off now. Also very tired been having a nap each evening as I’ve got home x

CantKeepSecrets · 13/12/2019 21:12

Hi everyone would love to join!

Due around 16th of August with DC2 Smile

I suffered pretty badly with HG in my first pregnancy which started around 7 weeks and lasted the entirety of my pregnancy so currently feel like I'm a ticking time bomb.

Hope everyone is well.

MamaGem3 · 13/12/2019 21:29

hey ladies, i have 3 children 9,4,19months, ive had two miscarrages lasy one was twins, am pregnant again we are desperate for baby number four! we have a consultant now which is helping us. im roughly due 14 august!! xx

abs1232 · 13/12/2019 22:12

Hi all, I'm so pleased i found this thread! My stats are:

Age 30
1st child
Currently 16 DPO / 4 + 3 so super early, got 2 very strong positives, 1 yesterday eve and one today.

I have to say I am utterly terrified! My symptons are very sore boobs (getting more tender every day), waves of nausea and some mild cramping/flutters/general heaviness which have been coming since Weds which was when I was due on in my lower abdomen. The cramps are making me SO nervous, although I've read they can be perfectly normal every time I go for wee I'm expecting blood.

Is anyone else stressing about cramps? 😫

PandaPink · 13/12/2019 22:23

@abs1232 I stress about cramps. I notice them more when I'm lying in bed with nothing else to think about! There's a lot to surround that tiny little embryo I suppose! Our Uterus is tiny like a deflated balloon and about the size of the back of our hand (minus fingers) jeez I paint a good picture don't I!? Haha
When I was doing my nurse training I was in gyn theatre for a few hysterectomies Hmm

DiaryOfaTTCer · 13/12/2019 22:27

@Frazzlerock Ahh that’s fab, fingers crossed!

I’m a bit worried that I’m having virtually NO symptoms at the moment. If I hadn’t done a test I would have no idea that I’m pregnant and should be 5 weeks tomorrow.

My boobs were tender earlier on in the week and my stomach felt tender (like the day after the gym) but all absolutely fine now 😕 bit worried, I keep doing pregnancy tests just to be sure.

I do suffer from health anxiety so I think it’s just a manifestation of that but knowing how common miscarriages can be I think I’m just getting myself worked up due to the complete lack of symptoms!

Jojo19834 · 13/12/2019 22:32

Wow how we are all moving through the phases, it’s great. When the first round of BFP’s came through we were all discussing cramps (@abs1232 congratulations and don’t stress unless they are bad pains, we all went through some cramping around week 4-5, mine has tailed off now at 6+2)

We all then started wishing on the sickness and now it’s arrived everyone wants rid! @Firstmummytobe sorry you are really suffering, no real words but just remember that it will all be worth it!

@CantKeepSecrets fingers crossed for no HG this time round. Interesting that it started at 7 weeks as I am yet to have anything major apart from food aversions

@MamaGem3 hope all goes well this time around, sorry about your previous losses

CantKeepSecrets · 14/12/2019 00:58

@Jojo19834 yup even my GP and midwives had said it was rare to start so early, I was 8 weeks when I was first admitted to hospital. It's bittersweet not being sick but to me that's what pregnancy is so it's almost like I won't feel safe until I have it but at the same time I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Feeling weird tonight.
