Hey! Just wanted to start up a thread because I couldn’t find another one, just got my BFP today after about 6 months of trying. Due date is 1st august! Still feeling nervous as I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past but both before 6 weeks, so ill be keeping my fingers crossed and wont let myself get too excited until that deadline has passed!

Hope to hear from other ladies due at the same time, and hear your BFP stories :) xx

I'm due on August 22nd, hello to all! Only symptoms I have are cramps all day, including one each night that wakes me up. So getting used to waking in the night already!

Tink12345 · 14/12/2019 06:52

Welcome new faces Grin

Hayles695 · 14/12/2019 07:38

Hey all,

Been here about a week but I'm more of a watcher...very socially awkward.

I'm 33 (34) when due
5+6 weeks
14 year old DD, 3 year old step son.

Just wondered if anyone else is constantly exhausted but struggle to get more than a few hours sleep each night?

Apart from that I don't really have symptoms yet (I'm not going to say I'm jealous of your sickness) which makes me very nervous. I've wanted a baby for over 10 years so am very scared that it's not going to happen. Confused

abs1232 · 14/12/2019 07:42

@PandaPink and @Jojo19834 thanks ladies, it's really comforting to know other people are having them and it's not just me stressing about it! The ones I'm having aren't like 'normal' period pains so I'm assuming that's a good thing!

I'm finding the fact that you dont have an appointment with a midwife until the booking appointment really odd, I booked mine yesterday but its not until 21st Jan! But I think if I was able to see someone sooner it would put my mind at rest. I've got to phone the docs on Mon anyway because my mum told me yesterday that my cousin had a blood clotting issue which she needed treatment for while she was pregnant, and that any female member of the family needs to tell a doctor/midwife about it, so hopefully I'll get to speak to someone then.

Ginblooded · 14/12/2019 08:12

Tentatively joining!

Age: 30
Cycle: #2
Due: 21st August according to online calculators!

Had a chemical pregnancy last month so hoping this is a sticky bean 💕

Tink12345 · 14/12/2019 08:36

@Hayles695

I am usually a good deep sleeper but for the last couple of weeks I haven't slept properly at all. Hard to fall asleep and when I do I seem to wake up after an hour or so. Then spend a couple of hours tossing and turning . Very frustrating and making me quite snappy during the day as I am exhausted Confused

Hayles695 · 14/12/2019 08:42

@Tink12345 I thought it was just me and I also didn't relate it to me being short tempered 😂 today is a rest day though so hopefully it'll help

Kbr1986 · 14/12/2019 09:04

I'm exhausted. We already have a DD who is 14 months today and she has decided last night and the night before to wake up between 10 and 2am...... luckily my OH is brilliant and got up with her. I'm starting to feel a bit nauseous in the morning on waking but disappears once I've eaten. I'm just preparing for it to be like last time. Sickness from 7 weeks until the end. Not HG but was just sick every single day until near the end.
I did have a girl though which I believe makes it worse. I'm waiting for it to kick in so I've got rich tea biscuits and ginger beer and biscuits. I found also salt and vinegar crisps or rice cakes also helped quell a bit of the nausea last time. And flat full fat coke. Just ate what I could stomach. I'm worried it's going to hit me Christmas day when we have paid £100 for our lunch to go out for the day! I'm 5+3 today. It kicked in at around 7 weeks.

Hello new faces ☺️

Fifth pregnancy, fourth baby here. I have missed both my boys pregnancies ... found out at 13wks with DS1 and at 9wks with Ds2
My daughter i knew instantly as the sickness kicked in before i got a BFP.

So with my very unscientific evidence ... I expect this bean to be a boy. Found out at 6+ according to dates ... have no real sickness just slight nausea.
My boobs hurt .. slight cramps in the pelvis. No bleeding. Lots of headaches ... lots of weeing. Haven’t been sleeping very well ... but put that down to processing the MC ... apparently I was growing a bean too.

Anybody got any plans for this weekend? I’m currently camped on the sofa whilst my toddler is trashing my lounge and my eldest is playing minecraft.

Sjacey · 14/12/2019 12:50

I’m currently suffering with the flu, I’ve had cramps almost everyday for the last 10 days but I feel like it’s more of a cramp you get when you need the toilet it’s horrible comes and goes, I’ve got cramps in my legs everyday, headaches (although don’t think being ill is helping that either) I can’t believe how tired I am at 5+2 weeks !!! I’m exhausted! Almost falling asleep in the day Yet finding it so hard to get to sleep at night thank god my sons 11 I don’t know how you guys with little ones are coping I salute you! Lol must be so bloody hard. Had no sickness with my son at all but the worst nausea with my last pregnancy like I mentioned before which started about 6 weeks so I am litterally praying it doesn’t arrive next week because i was dying with it last time! I also suffer from anxiety and have had a couple of dizzy spells over the last week where I’ve felt like I’m about to pass out don’t know if it’s not helped that I haven’t eaten much throughout the day as my appetite has just disappeared suddenly the last week. I also had those burps from 4 weeks but haven’t noticed them for a few days, boobs feel heavier everyday scared to remove my bra, I remember after I had my son I would litterally bath in my bra because if they moved I almost cried in pain! Lol I’m actually shocked at the symptoms we’re all having so early because people love to play down early pregnant “oh your only a month pregnant lol” yes and this is probably One the toughest times !!! Hope everything is going good for everyone how are you @Frazzlerock xx

PandaPink · 14/12/2019 14:05

@sjacey I've spent most of my day lying down feeling sorry for myself. Had 3 bits of toast over the day and handful of haribo. I want to lie down and nap again!? This cannot be right?

Gina23 · 14/12/2019 14:17

I made a facebook group for uk mums due next august, its private so none members cant see what is in it or what you post.

It's called '0820' and cover photo is of a dolphin

Bit easier to navigate than some apps for those that would like to join :)

Good idea @Gina23

BeanTurnipSpudPea · 14/12/2019 15:00

@Gina23 I’ve requested to join ☺️
My secret group for May17 had 80members at its highest. The support throughout was invaluable. I look forward to being accepted and getting to know you all.

LucyC2019 · 14/12/2019 16:56

@gina23 I would love to join the fb group too... but having trouble finding it x

MamaGem3 · 14/12/2019 16:57

@Gina23 ive got facebook and have added the group im scared my family friend will found out if i join with posts ect? or is it mega private xx

Frazzlerock · 14/12/2019 18:46

@Gina23 I don't use FB anymore. I had to stop because of all the sodding pregnancy announcements and it was making me really miserable. (4 years since our first MC so been a long time wishing for a baby and watching every man and his dog have babies without any trouble)
TBH, I've not missed it whatsoever so I'm planning to stay off it for the foreseeable.
If anything, I've learnt not to ever make preg announcements on there, it's so insensitive!

So I will stick with MN 😁

@sjacey I'm sorry you're suffering! Not pleasant at all. As for me, so far so good in the Frazzlewomb 🤞

I'm currently at DP's family's Secret Santa shindig. Only his sister, dad and step mum know and no one has questioned my not drinking alcohol yet...

Louisaizzy · 14/12/2019 19:16

I’m 5 wks, and my tiredness isn’t as bad today, nausea hasn’t yet kicked in either, so now I’m worrying! 🤔.. anyone else tired one day and ok the next?

Lucylou22039 · 14/12/2019 19:18

@Gina23 great idea I've joined

@Frazzlerock hope your feeling better than the last few days xx

I went to my first Xmas party last night and didn't drink it was ok not too bad

The worst thing I've found is with not drinking, I do so much housework and at the weekend I'm getting a tad bored.

Need to get a new hobby Crown GrinCrown GrinCrown Grin

Hi!

I am due 2nd Aug (if my dates are right)

I am 31 next week and have 1 daughter who turned 3 today. I'm a fulltime student (BA hon Education and history) so this was a little bit of a shock.

Symptoms constant nausea for the last week, sore nipples and I can smell everything Haha! And major fatigue!

I'm nervous, I've just hit 7 weeks and this will be my 10th pregnancy. 2 ectopic (tubal pregnancy and a pregnancy in tube stump left over from 1st surgery) 1 pregnancy of unknown location (medically managed) and 6 MC all before 6 weeks. It's safe to say I'm a little nervous, but calmer than I've ever been! The symptoms and that I'm just 7 weeks make me positive. Share the positivity!

I have a scan on monday to check location and really hoping to see a heartbeat. ❤❤

Timeforanamechangeagain1 · 14/12/2019 22:34

Another tentatively joining... I'm currently 4+6 and due my second (DD is two). In a little bit of shock as had a miscarriage last month at 5+2. My cycles are short and realised I was pregnant again four weeks to the day the miscarriage started. Had it confirmed by bloods at the GP on Friday and the levels were way above what they were when the miscarriage was confirmed. Am still in shock as I worked out I must have ovulated 5 or 6 days after the bleeding stopped. Won't join the FB group yet as I miscarried the same day I joined the July group, am just seeing how things go for the next week or so.

Struggs90 · 14/12/2019 23:52

Hey ladies, new to mumsnet but looking forward to being able to talk about what’s going on.

I’m 29, currently 6+6 weeks with my first pregnancy.

Booked an early scan for Friday 20th to try and calm my anxiety and give a bit of reassurance before we tell the family over Christmas.

I’ve been lucky to have a week of holiday from work as nausea and sickness have certainly kicked in. I’ve got no appetite at all and no energy. Dreading going back to work on Monday.

Also really struggling not telling people I’m pregnant because A) I couldn’t be more excited and B) it explains why I’m not my usual self. Anyone else finding it difficult?

TerribleImagination · 15/12/2019 00:29

Hey everyone,

I’ll sadly have to bow out of this thread after miscarrying today, at 5+3.

I was on my way to see family, a good 5 hour drive away, and had pains so pulled into a motorway services to check and I’d started bleeding. My amazing best mate, who’s a midwife, went to get my partner and drove to me. I was an hour and a half away from home... such a long wait. She checked the bleeding and told me wait it out and see, but later this evening at home I passed a pretty obvious sac. Ran a picture past my midwife friend and she agrees it looks like it’s gone.

Absolutely devastated, but I’m lucky to have to most amazing partner who’s cried probably as much as I have this evening about it! If what I’ve passed was everything too, then it could be a small blessing that it’s happened so quickly... Only the next few days / weeks will tell I guess.

Best of luck everyone with your pregnancies and August babies Flowers xx
