Hey! Just wanted to start up a thread because I couldn’t find another one, just got my BFP today after about 6 months of trying. Due date is 1st august! Still feeling nervous as I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past but both before 6 weeks, so ill be keeping my fingers crossed and wont let myself get too excited until that deadline has passed!

Hope to hear from other ladies due at the same time, and hear your BFP stories :) xx

Congratulations Marsh04. I hope everyones doing okay? I'm fine apart from sickness I swear people must notice me gagging.

MaisieMolly · 03/12/2019 14:47

Congratulations to the new joiners Smile

No symptoms for me really. Boobs are a bit sore (but no more than pre-period) and I’ve had a few very slight twinges/cramps, but I might be imagining in those.... I’m only 4 weeks 3 days going from date of ovulation so still early... 5w+3 from LMP but long cycles!!

Is anyone else not really feeling pregnant? I keep expecting my period to come every time I go to the toilet Confused

Shinyspade · 03/12/2019 14:53

I keep expecting to start mine too. I check every time I wipe! I’m only 4 weeks 2 days so still so super early.

I do feel pregnant though. So crampy. Been Having cramps on an off every day since last Monday and been needing to pee more. Feeling a bit more nauseous today and getting super hungry.
This is my second pregnancy.

Lucylou22039 · 03/12/2019 14:53

@MaisieMolly yes I totally agree I keep thinking it's not real!!! It's weird feeling Confused

Macbless · 03/12/2019 17:16

I also am struggling to think it is real. I'm 5 + 1 today and am starting to feel quite nauseous. In a way I am pleased as last night I had some pretty bad cramps. I was half expecting to start having a miscarriage today rather than getting nausea.

I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow. I'm expecting that I won't see the midwife until after Christmas as they only come to the GP on a Thursday so that rules out Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Really hope the cramps will settle soon they freak me out. Anyone who has done this before and had cramps, when do the tend to stop or is it different for everyone?
Xx

Jojo19834 · 03/12/2019 18:15

@macbless hope someone can give you some reassurance. Nausea is good though!!! I did find the smell of someone’s lunch today absolutely hideous, and it was just microwaved rice!! The closest I have come to feeling nauseous was when I took a mouthful of cereal yesterday morning to find the milk was off Envy

To others, I do and don’t feel pregnant. I do feel like I’d like to feel more pregnant but i defo have activity down there so I’m content something is going on until it gets worse in a week!

Marsh04 · 03/12/2019 19:17

@Em012 im feeling the same way. Nausea is killing me right now.

Sjacey · 03/12/2019 20:10

@Shinyspade thank you! I looked in my contract and it said nothing about maternity leave but I have just spoken to an old manager who no longer works for my company and he confirmed that I am entitled to maternity pay but that they will try to avoid letting me know what I am entitled to so he’s given me some advice in what approach to take going forward. Thank you as if you hadn’t said anything I wouldn’t have looked into further! 😘

I don’t feel pregnant at all and I’m starting to worry that my period may just turn up on Friday as I took another pregnancy test yesterday and the line although there was almost non existant and it’s put me into a panic now 😩 xx

MrsC105 · 04/12/2019 06:22

Has anyone else had positives on normal tests but negatives on clear blue digital?

Got my first positive Monday morning and have done another 3 tests since, all positive. But done a digital Monday and today and both negative?x

Firstmummytobe · 04/12/2019 07:18

@Mrsc105 the digital clear blue picked mine up really really early, how many days dpo are you? Maybe wait a couple more days and try again but baby dust to you!!!!

I 100% feel pregnant, and to be honest I’m questioning wether I’m a bit further along than you ladies as at the scan they actually told me that my due date was mid July but working it out from day of LMP it would be August 1st??

I’m so excited, my back is in agony, white milky discharge, no pains jsut really bad nausea and vomiting and migraine also.... it’s all going to be worth the struggle ladies!!!

NamiSwan · 04/12/2019 07:25

@Mrsc105 how many DPO are you? Is AF late yet? I don't think the clear blue are that good at picking up early pregnancies. Fingers crossed for you.

I also don't feel pregnant at all, did the clear blue digital this morning and got 3+ weeks which means things are on track as by my dates I'm 5+2, so feeling a bit more like it's real. Yesterday morning I had a bit of nausea but that was it, and feeling a bit iffy this morning, so guessing morning sickness is starting for me. I was really hoping I avoided it this time, as with my last two pregnancies I had sickness till 16/17 weeks 😭 guess I'm just one of the unlucky ones who's body can't cope with the hormones!

MrsC105 · 04/12/2019 08:09

@namiswan @firstmummytobe I don't know because I came off the pill in May and have only had 2 AFs since and my last one was October. I done a test Friday 29th November and was negative then Monday I got first positive. Done another today and positive again. So that's 2 positive FRER and 3 positive IC.

I'm going to try a digital again Sunday x

Jojo19834 · 04/12/2019 08:50

@Firstmummytobe you definitely sound further along than you think with those symptoms. Have you also had them for a while? I’m 5 weeks today and all feels good but no nausea etc

@MrsC105 I would wait a few more days before another clearblue, if the frer are positive you should be good! Have the lines got stronger on the frer?

MrsC105 · 04/12/2019 08:57

Jojo19834 Yeah the one i done yesterday morning was slightly darker than the one from the morning before. But both were pretty dark and not faint x

Frazzlerock · 04/12/2019 08:58

Hi everyone

Mind if I join?

I promised myself I wouldn't join an antenatal thread as I had to sadly leave my last one this time last year when we had to say goodbye to our little boy at 9 weeks. That was our 3rd MC. But here I am anyway! We found out on Monday morning that I am finally pregnant after a year of TTC. We'd actually started discussing IVF so this has been a lovely surprise for us.

I'm under the care of the RMC who are booking me in for our first scan just before Christmas

I have two DC (10 and 14 years old) from a previous marriage and have PCOS so TTC is a minefield and a long long battle against hormones.

I've worked out I'll be due around 8th August, providing we get that far.
Oh and I'm getting married in April! So an elasticated waist dress for me Grin

Anyway, I hope you don't mind me barging in with my story, and I hope I get to stick around Smile

I'd better go and catch up with the thread so I can find out about you!

Jojo19834 · 04/12/2019 09:09

@frazzlerock we all hope you get to stick around too!! Sorry about your loss, I know I’m worried about the upcoming weeks as nothing is certain and out of our control. Congratulations :-)

Jojo19834 · 04/12/2019 09:10

@MrsC105 I’d say that’s a good thing so don’t panic yet, wait until the weekend and try again

Jojo19834 · 04/12/2019 09:11

@MrsC105 I didn’t do a clearblue until a week after my strong frer so haven’t got any relevant experience of how they compare, just what I heard

MrsC105 · 04/12/2019 09:22

@Jojo19834 yeah from what i've read online they're not as sensitive anyway. I'll try again at the weekend, thanks :) x

CrazyCoonz · 04/12/2019 09:42

In my experience the clearblue digital test is not super accurate. I have a faint positive on a cheapy at 9dpo and the clearblue digital was negative. Following day I used a Boots own brand digital and it was positive. I waited a week to use the CB again and now it's saying pregnant 2-3 weeks. So who knows which is the best to use! I've found sainsburys own brand (not digital) to be very good and accurate and they cost £3 for 2.

MaisieMolly · 04/12/2019 10:08

@Frazzlerock welcome, sorry for your losses, I hope that you and everyone else on the thread is able to stick around x

LanieM87 · 04/12/2019 11:00

Hello to the new additions! Wishing you all a happy healthy 9months!

I've woken up with sore, heavy breasts today, I'm hoping that's a good sign. I can't stop POAS either, which is silly, but I get reassurance from seeing the line! I also just can't stop going for a wee in general! I'm up and down all day at work!

Hope everyone else is well?!

Talcott2007 · 04/12/2019 12:14

I'm having some weird symptoms! But as I'm also laid low with this lurgy thing it hard to separate early pg symptoms from what is just the cold/virus symptoms!

I keep randomly having tiny quiet burps through the day alongside a proper rumbly noisy stomach! I never burp except maybe after drinking fizzy drinks its the weirdest sensation!

Frazzlerock · 04/12/2019 12:50

I've finally caught up!

I notice a lot of you mentioning your ages. Well it seems I'm the oldest here at 40 Shock

My symptoms are not as severe as past pregnancies but the ones I had lots of symptoms ended badly, so I'm counting the 'not severe' symptoms as a good thing! My boobs do feel quite bruised though and have some hardening, but eases off in the evening when its 'bra off' time. I never get that this early usually.
I'm also usually quite into healthy eating but all my usual 'go to' foods are a bit of a turn off and I'm reaching for the rubbish Hmm I usually have extreme thirst and in the loo all the time in previous pregnancies but not so much with this one. But I have been having the vivid dreams and waking up in the night for a wee.

Frazzlerock · 04/12/2019 13:45

Sorry I meant to say thank you @MaisieMolly and @Jojo19834 Smile
