My bump seemed quite big over Christmas but now seems to have gone right down?! I’m not concerned too much as I can feel him move all the time and scan was healthy but it is weird... x

Evening All,

There are some good offers via Emma's diary if you've not already signed up I'd recommend taking a look.

Just looking through - someone was asking about a snuzpod the other day, they have a code to get it for £164.

sazzlerazzle · 11/01/2020 17:36

@mintbear my snuzpod arrived today, finally! I haven’t assembled it yet, waiting for hubby to come home. I can’t remember who else on here bought one, was it you @Sunshine8888 ?

I’ve got a full body pregnancy massage booked for in a few weeks time and no idea what to expect... sound silly but what position are you in?? As clearly you cannot lie on your front!

Sunshine8888 · 11/01/2020 18:20

@sazzlerazzle, yes it was me! We haven’t put ours up yet either but it arrived very quickly after Christmas!

I had a pregnancy massage a few weeks ago, you lie on your side with a big pillow - it was lovely. I also had to lie on my back for a bit but with legs elevated and pillows galore. I have a 4 hour pregnancy spa journey booked for our babymoon in feb, can’t wait!

Pastnowfuture · 11/01/2020 18:40

@mintbear Thanks. I will take a look at those Smile

Clairesoph · 11/01/2020 18:56

Anyone looking for a good book then I can't recommend this enough. Breaks it down week by week into what you should see, things to introduce covers breast and bottle feeders, weaning, bathing literally everything. I loved it and followed it very closely c

Clairesoph · 11/01/2020 18:57

Helps if I put the picture up 🤣🤣 baby brain!!!

Having said that, just read the reviews and it's really dated and everyone hates it 🤣 so don't read it 👌

My friend has recommended this book to me, she’s going to give me her copy to read

facevalue · 11/01/2020 21:57

@Moongirl10 hehe cute .. you will live in that rocking chair i tell you. i have it too and loved it- the best for breastfeeding / i have the pillow too.

Moongirl10 · 11/01/2020 22:06

@facevalue oh good! I tried out so many and that was the comfiest!

Moonstone12 · 11/01/2020 23:08

@sazzlerazzle I have weekly physio at a private clinic and we have a special pregnancy pillow which means I can still lie on my stomach just with my boobs and belly in a hole. This means she can work on my back properly. So there are other options than just the side if where you are going caters for pregnant ladies :)

rosewater20 · 12/01/2020 02:47

I had my 20 week right after Christmas, and all looks good. Such a relief. We went to Paris over the holiday, and DP bought the baby a few little clothing items. I love seeing them hanging in my closet.

@facevalue, I too found a lump on the side of my breast and was really worried, but my GP said it was most likely a milk duct and a few of my friends said they had similar when pregnant. I am meant to watch it over the next few weeks and see if it changes. Also, I have had people tell me horrible stories about baby loss late in pregnancy or pregnancy horror stories. It is very upsetting, and for those who are telling me second-hand stories of someone else's loss, I simply say "I am sorry to hear of your friend's loss, but I am not able to mentally deal with hearing things like that right now." I haven't been able to watch much of the news either nor can I watch anything on television that has to do with anything remotely sad or depressing.

facevalue · 12/01/2020 08:15

@Helensss please don't worry. this happens to me once a week. i think you get a day or so when your bowels aren't bloated and also the uterus relaxes that's all- i do worry but my midwife said it's normal. and omg i love your walls and floors 😍.

@Clairesoph ignore the reviews- i had the book with my first- it absolutely saved my sanity and managed my new mum anxiety ( i had no family support at all and had just moved so no friends either) - i guess if u do have a support network it might not be as valuable. worth every penny👍🏼

@rosewater20 thanks for that. i havnt been worried as such but it's in my armpit and it's still there. not a milkduct ( had those when breastfeeding with my DD) i just can't tell if anything in my boobs because they are lumpy because i'm pregnant

good morning baby kicking my ass - maybe hungry😂😂😂 i just woke up - my toddler is the best - sleeps until 9am if i let her ⛺️

sao81 · 12/01/2020 11:37

The best I could do with no full length mirrors 😂 20+6 today and feeling huuuge. How is everyone feeling today?

Due May 2020 (Thread 4)
Helensss · 12/01/2020 11:57

@facevalue thank you, I think it is normal it’s just not what I expected.

Thank you! We bought a little old railway cottage a few years ago and had a nightmare doing it up and bringing back the natural features, they’d covered up all the brick and wooden floors so we exposed them again.

Your toddler sounds amazing, I hope our little one treats us so well 😂 X

sazzlerazzle · 12/01/2020 15:13

Thanks @Sunshine8888 and @Moonstone12 they both lovely and really comfortable! Really looking forward to it now ☺️

We’ve put the Snuzpod up today, it’s gorgeous and such nice quality. It’s fairly easy to assemble too. It does have quite a strong ‘new’ smell so I would recommend getting it out and aired with plenty of time.

Raindancer411 · 12/01/2020 17:25

We will be needing a new thread soon!!

mrsf1204 · 12/01/2020 17:31

22 weeks tomorrow here and we've just got back from a personal shopping experience at mamas and papas. It's free, you get a gift and an in depth look at products. We had everything we need minus a few bits but got those bits today and we are done! Gone through all the nursery and packed it all away according to size / what it is and I feel so much better for being organised! DH reckons it's my nesting kicking in but I just love homes and interiors so I think it's the clean freak in me really. I recommend the mamas and papas thing especially if you are still to get lots and make the most of it now they have a 50% sale on so we picked our cot Mattress up for an absolute bargain! As we didn't need much I focused on the 3 items we did, mattress, monitor and sling and because it was a personal shop we had total dedication from the lady showing us and no rush. Still worth it even for not a lot. Make the most of the sale though as expensive without! Oh and their equivalent of a Bumbo is on sale now too and we grabbed one, really chuffed with that. And we got a baby gym that I actually like as I hate loads of bright colours and we've set it up and I'm so so impressed with it! A bit more expensive that most but it has a light show, you can plug your phone into it to play your own music so I'll be playing it what we play bump, and it becomes a play mat later! It's taken me ages to find one I like and want up in our lounge all the time but I'm really happy with it and pleased there is lots of interaction for baby as the scandi ones that look nice to us don't seem to be great for stimulations for baby! Just thought I'd share some bits I'd found / learnt :)

november90 · 12/01/2020 17:43

Awww girls I'm living all the hump photos! All looking amazing 🧡

Is anyone else getting really bad indegestion?! Mine in evenings is absolutely horrific! It only passes by going to bed and lying down/if I have trapped wind (so embarrassing!). Tempted to go to the doctors to see if we can take anything stronger then rennies or gaviscon!

Layladylay234 · 12/01/2020 20:02

november90 Yes to the indigestion. Got it terribly with my son 10 years ago and it seems to be back with a vengeance. I'm having gaviscon double action liquid before I go to bed then rennies throughout the day. But I've come to accept that it's prob going to be this way all the way through now!

Just wondering how everyone else is getting on with their appetites? I suffered terribly with nause for the first 15/16 weeks, totally killed my appetite, then it seemed to ease in time for Christmas. But I'm still not able to really sit down and eat a full meal for dinner anymore. Breakfast and lunch I get really hungry at and can eat pretty much anything but by the time 6pm rolls around, I'm back on the Cereal and toast diet like th early days! Is everyone else back to eating normally?

Sunshine8888 · 12/01/2020 20:24

@layladylay234, I am the total opposite to you on the food front! I haven’t been able to stop eating since I fell pregnant! I get really hungry! I can’t eat huge meals now or I feel uncomfortable but I eat little and often. It’s the best thing about pregnancy for me!! I’ve always been very self disciplined with eating and for a short period of time I am enjoying letting myself have what my body wants ☺️ I don’t feel like I’ve put any weight on anywhere other than boobs and bump yet either somehow! Although I am slightly fearful it’ll catch up with me in the third trimester 😂🙈
