Btw yesterday at the scan the sonographer said because the cervix measued more than 25mm (i think that was the number) then they say the risk of preterm labour is considered low. That was a nice thing to know!

mrsf1204 · 09/01/2020 12:26

Does anyone have days of a lot of movement then days of very little? I'm such a worrier 😫

sao81 · 09/01/2020 12:46

@mintbear @May2311 my partner helps me alot but I just feel so useless not being able to pick my daughter up its been really getting me down. Good news is I finally got a physio app! 21st Jan so less than 2 weeks, so feeling much more positive today, thank you both for your advice xxx

CharlieB93 · 09/01/2020 12:49

@mrsf1204 yes!! Yesterday hardly any movement... today it feels like she’s trying to fight her way out 😂🤢

AlmostAlwyn · 09/01/2020 12:54

Had my 20 week scan today and all looks good. Though I was a bit worried as the sonographer spent ages looking at the heart! He didn't say much either (more annoyed that his ultrasound machine wasn't communicating properly with the nurse's computer), but all looks good apparently! And we're having a girl! Which is good, though also bad because I had a boy name all picked out, but nothing for a girl! Grin Anyone else still struggling in the name department? Anyone not started thinking about it yet?

sao81 · 09/01/2020 13:16

@almostalwyn congrats!! I had hiedi for a girl, but im having a boy, struggling so much!

Raindancer411 · 09/01/2020 13:23

@May2311 I cannot see why she moaned. My midwife has sent mine in the post to me as we need it by the 4/2 and our appointment isnt until end of Feb when I am 28 weeks.

Caspianberg · 09/01/2020 13:24

@AlmostAlwyn @sao81 - No closer on a name yet. Have a vague shortlist but haven't actually looked at it for weeks!

24 weeks today here, karate kid has been practising all night as moving much more now. Still no pattern though. I could see then through bump yesterday though so pretty defined.

Sunshine8888 · 09/01/2020 13:41

Happy 24 weeks @caspianberg! Congrats, you’ve hit the viability milestone ☺️ I’m 24 weeks on Saturday x

Caspianberg · 09/01/2020 13:47

Thanks! Its going fast.

Sunshine8888 · 09/01/2020 14:04

It’s going slow for me! I don’t think it helps that it’s January - rather long and bleak month!! But I’m trying to set little milestones along the way to help pass the time. X

AlmostAlwyn · 09/01/2020 14:05

@sao81 @Caspianberg thanks! It's made more tricky as we live in my husband's home country so need a name that works both here and the UK. Need to get thinking...

I'm 23+2 and haven't noticed any particular pattern to movements yet. Though I read that after birth baby will maintain the same pattern of movements as now. Not sure if that's good news for you and your night time karate kid, @Caspianberg! Grin

Caspianberg · 09/01/2020 14:14

@AlmostAlwyn - same here, name needs to work in country we live in, and in Uk

Raindancer411 · 09/01/2020 14:26

Back from my consultant visit. Apparently I have a 1 in 6 chance of retearing. They will have drugs to give me to limit the bleeding to hand in case I need them and some meds afterwards (from what I could make out). They said they deal with 2-3 heavy blood losses a week as train for them. 2-3 a week doesn't seem many when they probably have a good 100 people in a week.

Emmacb82 · 09/01/2020 15:34

Hey everyone, haven’t been here for a while so tried to catch up a bit! Congrats on all the latest scans and genders! Have got mine next Wednesday and looking forward to seeing baby and making sure everything is all ok. Will also find out the sex which will please my 3 year old as everyone keeps asking him what he thinks it is and he gets really annoyed!
Had my consultant appointment just before Christmas who basically said they failed me last time round (pushed for far too long ending up in forceps, retained placenta and a pph) so this time will have to have a managed 3rd stage and will be at risk of bleeding again which I’m terrified of. If baby is going to be bigger than my last I’m seriously considering a c section but would really prefer a natural birth. So hard!

november90 · 09/01/2020 20:56

How is everyone getting on with baby movements?
I'm 22 weeks and mine still aren't all that often. I noticed them in the evening and hear and there during the day. I woke up last night feeling really worried about it! I wish I could feel him more!
Also anyone else's bump huuggge?!!!! I feel like o should be about 7 months 🙈

123Pandy · 09/01/2020 21:07

@november90 baby movements are really random. I can usually feel him wriggling around first thing in the morning and after a big dinner ☺️

And yes...I feel like a whale! Two weeks ago someone said 'sure there's only one in there?' ....I mean ....😒

This is my first so really coming to terms with how much my body is /has changed also. Anyone else feel like that?

Bumpingalong84 · 09/01/2020 21:19

Hi ladies.

@woollycat did you have a stitch put in? I can’t remember who it was earlier in the thread. My cervix is measuring 21mm so having to go back to see pre term clinic to discuss and be re measured. Feeling slightly anxious about it.

I have an anterior high placenta so movement aren’t consistent and not what I had with DD at 21wks but getting there. Feel her most days in the evenings.

My bump is massive tho people are kind and say it’s not but I feel huge for 21wks.

Bumpingalong84 · 09/01/2020 21:19

That was taken last week at 20wks my Christmas tree is not still up 😂

sao81 · 09/01/2020 21:35

@november90 ive been feeling strong movements for just over a week now, I'm 20+2 but 2nd baby so thinking that could be why. Funnily enough hes having a little kick now! I'm trying not to get too hung up on movements atm as I was previously induced due to reduced movements, and have been told on a few occassions that it can take.til 24 weeks to feel every day, just hoping he continues this active! And I feel like the size of a whale 😂 bump has really.popped out this week

sao81 · 09/01/2020 21:36

@Bumpingalong84 I had high anterior last time and struggled feeling regular movement until around 24-25 weeks but did feel little bits, it will come soon!

GinUnicorn · 09/01/2020 21:37

@Bumpingalong84 mine is Blush

I’m taking down now!

Sorry to hear so many of us are struggling. Pregnancy is hard Flowers

november90 · 09/01/2020 21:44

@sao81 aww that's so lovely! I felt some strong movements on Saturday but not so much since then! I'm 22 weeks with my second!

Live the bump photo!!!

This was my tummy on Saturday but it feels sooo much bigger now! Possibly bloat from constant indegestion though 🙈

sao81 · 09/01/2020 22:27

@november90 you look so neat! Mines hard to tell because I'm on the larger side anyway, but can definitely tell the baby from the chub now 😂

facevalue · 10/01/2020 08:21

happy friday ladies. i drink 3-4 cups of tea a day - I avoided caffeine the first 12 weeks. weak evidence but the idea is that caffeine might make your baby thinner/ smaller but not definitely .. please try not to stress about it.

i'm so hormonal. i can't watch or hear anything about kids being hurt or unwell. i also keep getting the urge to wake my toddler to cuddle her ( she's so bloody cute) she makes my heart melt- my other friends with toddlers are not feeling this AT ALL. so i know i'm hormonal.

i'm also irrationally excited and can't wait to meet my baby😍😍😍😍. i want to get to know him/ her.

someone decided to tell me they had a miscarriage at 21 weeks 😰😭😭😭 that made me shit my self and another colleague said she lost her's at 23 weeks 🤪😭😰.

why do ppl have to share this😭

i felt a lump under my arm and saw the GP who also felt it - she felt my breasts and said nothing there ( with pregnancy my breast is lumpy anyway so i can't tell) said wait 6 weeks if it's not gone then come back 😳😬. really? 6 weeks! it's over 2 weeks already now and it's not gone 🙄 i'm considering just booking another appointment with another GP. what do you girls think?
