Anyone due July 2020

Hi all,

Anyone due July 2020? Sorry if I've missed a thread, done a quick search and couldn't find one...

DH and I were due to start TTC for #2 in the new year, but haven't been actively not-trying. Well something was just niggling at me over the weekend, I just 'had a feeling' if that makes sense... did an FRER yesterday and there it was! that second pink line...

I'm equal parts excited and batshit scared haha. I've not told DH yet, it's his birthday on Tuesday so going to break it to him then.

For those who aren’t first time mums or those past 12 weeks, when do you hear back about the level of risk for downs/Edwards and Patau if you choose to have the test? Do they tell you there and then or send you a letter afterwards?

rosamundos · 02/12/2019 20:31

@Goldington With my first they took my bloods at the 12 week scan, then did the scan and pretty much told me live in the room that he looked all good. Then I got a print out at the end with an estimation of how likely it would be he'd have something (combination of scan + bloods). It was 1 in 1000 or something which the nurse said was low and required no further testing.

This time I'm having the blood DNA test first at 10 weeks (if we get there, already had 1 MMC). Need to go private so it's a few hundred quid I think. It provides you results almost far more accurately and can tell you gender too. Basically after the miscarriage I'm super paranoid so getting every test going...

7 weeks today and the nausea hit me like a train. Got an 8am 'breakfast' meeting with my boss tomorrow and the likelihood of me sprinting to the bathroom is high.

essexanon · 02/12/2019 20:50

@Nelbert19 you poor thing!!
Hope you start to feel better soon. It’s amazing and scary what happens to our bodies whilst growing these mini humans!

Yea I keep getting moments when I just want to burst and let the news out. I keep looking at the pic on my phone of the pregnancy test I took and smiling.
Xx

Goldington · 02/12/2019 21:03

Thanks for your reply @rosamundos 😀 ooohhhh no!! My all day nausea and vomiting started at just before 7 weeks! It seems to have eased off now though (i’m 8+4 today) I am just seriously exhausted and feel nauseous if I get too hungry! Hopefully yours won’t last too long - I found ginger nut biscuits and orange cordial really helped!

impatientlyinfertile · 02/12/2019 21:15

@essexanon did you always know you'd keep it a secret?
@Goldington mine came in the post as you rely on the blood tests as well but it must be different in different areas my son is also four now so it could have changed.
I hope your ok @Nelbert19 did they say if the pain would pass?
Good luck tomorrow @rosamundos are you against telling your boss early?
My boss said to me this morning I shouldn't have taken so long to tell her I was shocked as I'm not even 7 weeks yet. I've been quite open with those close to us as I needed help and support going through ivf and I know if I loose this baby I'll need the people around me to know so don't see much point for me in waiting till it's safe x

essexanon · 02/12/2019 21:32

@impatientlyinfertile no i didn’t plan to but as it’s so close to Xmas, I thought I’d make it part of the celebration xx

Nelbert19 · 02/12/2019 21:39

Thanks @essexanon and @impatientlyinfertile - it’ll pass when the blood has been absorbed from my abdominal cavity, which will take ‘days to weeks’!!

At least it’s putting a stop to my bread and chocolate guzzling - any food makes things so so much worse! Hope it’s better by Wednesday, I’m on night shifts 😪

Ethellsmum · 02/12/2019 23:15

The nausea is killing me. Eating is the only thing that helps, so I’m constantly eating - and it has to be carbs! It’s already been commented at work that I’m always eating lol.
Does anyone else love this time of evening - I know I’ve made it through another day and when I wake up I’ll be a day further along 😀

Mummy2020 · 03/12/2019 11:48

Is anyone on anti sickness tablets? Been started on cylizine today😭

dragonmummy17 · 03/12/2019 12:21

@Mummy2020 no but I'm starting to wonder if I should be. I've got all day nausea and have been sick at least once a day, often more, for the last 3 and a half weeks. I keep thinking it will be over soon but it keeps on going! I have a midwife appointment today so planning on discussing it with her

impatientlyinfertile · 03/12/2019 12:44

@dragonmummy17 I was sick until passed 20 weeks with my little boy. I don't think it's the norm but I'd def consider cyclozine there's no garuntee it will stop at 12 weeks x

Rainbow2020 · 03/12/2019 12:45

@dragonmummy17 I'm exactly the same the only thing that gets me through the day is sugar free gum it takes the nausea away!! But without it I feel sick all the time and sick a few times throughout the day!! I'm at my midwifes on Thursday so gonna ask her what I should do!!

Ethellsmum · 03/12/2019 15:10

I’ve just fallen asleep on the bus on my commute home from work - I hope I wasn’t snoring! I had forgotten how bad the exhaustion is. I’m going to see if I can juggle my hours a bit so I can squeeze a nap in before the afternoon school run.

Izabela86 · 03/12/2019 16:13

I had an early scan today at 8weeks (thought I was 7+4) but they measured me to be 8 weeks. Anyway, the sonographer mentioned a small synchronic haematoma. She said not to worry about it but I did a bit of googling and I’m worried.. Anyone had / heard of it? Any good stories?

Izabela86 · 03/12/2019 16:15

Meant to say subchorionic! Stupid autocorrect!

PineappleJam · 03/12/2019 17:37

Hi ladies may I please join 👋

I'm due July 17th with my second. I have a little boy (born in April 2017, I recognise some names from the May 2017 group 👋). I've been reading this thread for a while, though been too paranoid to join.

After trying to conceive for about 8 months with two miscarriages in between, I found out I was pregnant on the 4th November when I went to A&E with severe stomach pain. They wanted to rule out an ectopic (how I found out I was pregnant!) and have had two scans since. Thankfully the ectopic has been ruled out, though very worryingly my scan at 7 weeks (dates accurate) measured the baby at only 6 weeks, so the anxiety continues. Also not helping is that this pregnancy so far is very different from my first with far less nausea/vomiting.

Congratulations to everyone, and so lovely to see all the scan photos.

PineappleJam · 03/12/2019 17:40

Izabela86 I had a subchorionic haematoma during my first pregnancy and it resolved by itself. They will keep an eye on it. It is stressful (speaking from experience) but try not to stress x

AutumnDazed · 03/12/2019 18:43

Hi all, my wife has lost a lot of her nausea since Sunday and is beginning to feel ‘periody’ she says. She’s 8+4 today but it’s concerned her as she’s feeling ‘unpregnant’. We have our midwife appointment next week and a scan booked in almost three weeks, but just wondering if you had any thoughts.

Wayekalb · 03/12/2019 19:24

Anyone's sickness just gone up a notch! I'm on cyclizine but think they have stopped working!! Feel awful 😫

Mummy2020 · 03/12/2019 20:56

@Wayekalb
I hadn’t kept anything down since Saturday and was sick 13 times yesterday. Doctor was teetering on sending me to hosp for IV fluids as urine was so dark but my blood pressure was okay and wanted to give the tablets a chance. Only 2 doses in and nowhere near as bad as yesterday- not perfect but better than horrendous! How long have you been on them? X

LisaxMarie · 03/12/2019 21:24

Anyone had their booking appointment yet? Had a call from the midwife on Friday and she booked me in for the next day because it was the only time they would have been able to see me. I was 7 +1 the day I went. She found I had very low blood pressure which explains my dizziness! Had my 6 week scan the week before and we got to see the heart beat ❣️

dragonmummy17 · 03/12/2019 21:47

@PineappleJam hi DS is a May 17 baby born in April 17, although I have name changed since. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Sorry to hear of your miscarriages
@Rainbow2020 @impatientlyinfertile midwife wasn't overly helpful about the sickness although great about everything else. I'm working the rest of the week but if I'm still struggling by Monday I might call the GP. Stupidly though, even though I hate it, its also weirdly reassuring... I wasn't even nauseous with the one I miscarried
Scan booked for 27th. I'm relieved its after Christmas... I miscarried on Christmas day last year and I want to enjoy this year with the belief all is well

Bibinka · 03/12/2019 23:08

@AutumnDazed I fluctuate with my pregnancy symptoms and often feel periody. This is my first pregnancy so can't say I much have experience. I am seeing the midwife for first appointment ( will also be 8 weeks and 4 days) in 2 days time and will ask.

AutumnDazed · 03/12/2019 23:28

Thanks @Bibinka :)

Glitterbaby17 · 04/12/2019 03:09

Hi ladies, can I please join too? Due around the 25th of July but I have to get a scan to confirm the dating because I had a chemical pregnancy in October so dates are a bit confused. I also have DD born May 2017 so remember a few names! Quite nervous after the chemical and I’ve also just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism but hoping this little bean will stick!
