Anyone due July 2020

Hi all,

Anyone due July 2020? Sorry if I've missed a thread, done a quick search and couldn't find one...

DH and I were due to start TTC for #2 in the new year, but haven't been actively not-trying. Well something was just niggling at me over the weekend, I just 'had a feeling' if that makes sense... did an FRER yesterday and there it was! that second pink line...

I'm equal parts excited and batshit scared haha. I've not told DH yet, it's his birthday on Tuesday so going to break it to him then.

@louiseem this happened to one of my friends on my hen doo last year! She said that there was a family doo (her nans 90th) that she couldn’t miss another girl (who wasn’t pregnant) said she simply couldn’t afford it because of work to her house but may book on closer to time if feasible- that’s quite a good one to throw off the scent! Xx

Louiseem · 31/10/2019 19:54

Problem is I've already said I can go a while back and the hotel and flights have been booked! They're in a group chat now trying to book extras etc!

Hi everyone,

I got my BFP on Sunday. Im due July 6th i think. Im nervous as my only symptoms are bloating and a few twinges.
This is the first time I have ever been pregnant.
Does anyone know if you can have a scan before 12 weeks with nhs? Im 12 weeks on day before xmas eve and i really wanted the scan done before xmas so I can show and tell family

Goldington · 31/10/2019 20:57

Hey, can I please join! I got my BFP last Friday and my EDD is 8th July! This is my second pregnancy, my first one ended in miscarriage at 6 weeks at the end of June. I’m relieved to see others are experiencing cramps as I am too. I’d have been due AF today so putting it down to that but it’s still scary! Boobs are getting sore and I’m tired.

Having told anyone but partner and sister - hoping to try and get a scan before Xmas to tell everyone then Smile

BlueRaincoat89 · 31/10/2019 21:15

Please can I join! EDD is 7th July - this will be my second. I really want a scan before Xmas too - not drinking over Christmas is such a giveaway so it'd be nice to tell people before they guess!

Congrats to all the other BFPs!

Cymrubaby · 31/10/2019 21:40

Congrats new joiners! ❤️
@Goldington and @blueraincoat ... I think the 12 week scan is actually carried out between weeks 10 and 14 from what I’ve read! I’ve got my first midwife appointment on Tuesday so I’ll try and find out for us all then! 😄 I’m definitely going to have a private scan before Christmas if the nhs one doesn’t come up first have just been looking they are about £70 near me.
The only other thing I’m not sure of is the screening tests they do... and when those results would come in before or after Christmas
My goodness my stomach is sooo bloated this evening! Xx

AKC123 · 31/10/2019 22:14

Hi i have only just signed up today. My previous post on this thread is red. Did it send okay?

Cymrubaby · 01/11/2019 03:53

@AKC123 yes your post is there it’s red for you only to show which post is yours.

Goldington · 01/11/2019 07:16

Thanks @Cymrubaby my midwife appt isnt until 15th Nov so you’ll had to fill us in Smile

Cymrubaby · 01/11/2019 07:23

@goldington I will do!!! Send over any questions you all have... il take a note book 😉❤️
Just did my 7th pregnancy test this morning lines now very there! ❤️❤️

BlueRaincoat89 · 01/11/2019 07:25

@Cymrubaby I had an early private scan with my first, mainly to check that it was 1 (twins are common in my family!). It definitely put my mind at ease but I still didn't tell anyone until after the NHS one and the screening results - from memory they take up to a week to come after the scan. Very bloated here too!

Lgxo · 01/11/2019 08:29

Congrats ladies!! I’m due 2nd July, 5+1 today. No crazy symptoms except tiredness and constipation.. even my cramps seem to have stopped! Fingers crossed for a happy and healthy pregnancy for us all.

@MrsD7 Regarding sushi, you can have it! You just have to make sure the restaurant freezes the fish beforehand, which most of them do. Maybe just give them a call beforehand and double check?

AKC123 · 01/11/2019 08:40

Thank you @cymrubaby
How are you all getting on? Many symptoms? Have you had ypu Gp appointments yet? I have mine next week and dont know what to expect. I have contacted midwifery team but not sure what will happen from here

Cymrubaby · 01/11/2019 09:26

Just a bit of a bloated tummy so far couple of headaches which I never normally get. Have just been out for a run it should have been 10 miles but only managed 6, was definitely a lot slower today too- energy zapped!!! 😅 xx

littlelaury · 01/11/2019 10:08

I'm due 7th July!! Just got my first ever BFP this morning after 12 months of trying. I'm 2 days late for period having had no spotting (normally 28 day cycle and usually spot from 11-12 DPO).

Since taking the test I feel a bit nauseous and faint haha, so I think the symptoms are all in my head.

How do you get in touch with midwife and when are you supposed to do it? Is it GP first? I read so many books 12 months ago and can't remember anything now.

Good luck everyone :)!!

Louiseem · 01/11/2019 10:09

Congratulations!!
I called my GP who directed me to a website to self refer, but this website was for Dorset area! So maybe call you're GP and ask them 😊

littlelaury · 01/11/2019 10:14

Thank you, I'll call the GP and see what they say like you suggest :)

MrsD7 · 01/11/2019 10:18

@Lgxo thank you that is so helpful! I'll give them a call and find out.

@littlelaury I just called my GP and had an appointment on Wednesday where he sent a referral off to the midwife. Said I should get a call next week to arrange my booking appointment.

Does anyone know when you usually get your booking appointment? Do they do any scans then or is that done separately?

Cymrubaby · 01/11/2019 10:58

@MrsD7 I called GPs on Tuesday and they booked me in for Tuesday coming it’s basically a long chat with the midwife to discuss dos don’t s and dates from what I understand, it lasts an hour! Smile

Louiseem · 01/11/2019 11:43

Is anyone else feeling a loss of appetite? I could barely eat my breakfast this morning, not sure if it's because of the pregnancy or because I'm excited!

Cymrubaby · 01/11/2019 11:45

Not yet for me- I’m quite hungry this week. Xx

MrsD7 · 01/11/2019 11:50

I've been starving since finding out! And slightly nauseous and not sleeping but I am putting that down to excitement!
I've started to feel really anxious too which is not great!

AKC123 · 01/11/2019 12:07

@MrsD7 dont worry im sure anxiety is normal at this stafe and that most people here are probably feeling the same.
I havent had loss of appetetite yet.

Just spoke with a local hospital to register pregnancy and say said that they will be contacting me to book in a scan.. im guessing this is 12 week one? Bit confused as thought it was booking in appointment at 8 weeks first

littlelaury · 01/11/2019 12:08

I'm very anxious too. I'm anxious anyway... but this is worse. Is it a problem for baby? I hope not!

Louiseem · 01/11/2019 12:21

I suffer with anxiety too and have felt quite anxious still finding out yesterday, although we were trying to conceive it all happened so quickly, I think I'm in a bit of shock! It's so nice to be able to talk to people in the same situation. 😊
