Does anyone want to start a thread for people due the end of May? I miss having people to chat to on the conception boards!

@mumofbun Omg I'm so glad it's not just me! I've felt really gross in the mornings recently and puked in a bag on the train last Friday on my way into work! 🙈 Thankfully no one was sat next to me and it was all quite discreet cos I sensed it was coming! I thought it was meant to be basically gone at 20 weeks!

Aww good luck for your scan! Can't wait to hear what you're having!

sao81 · 07/01/2020 19:39

@mumofbun thank you! Xx
@TwinklyTwinkle aah congratulations! And at least you know you will be closely monitored for the rest of.your pregnancy, I'm sure little man will be fine xx

mumofbun · 14/01/2020 15:09

@TwinklyTwinkle @sao81 Another boy here!! Everything well except I have a slightly low lying placenta which means another scan at 36 weeks x

@mumofbun congratulations!! When mine was suspected they said it can move up as your stomach grows, so hopefully thats the case for you! X

mumofbun · 15/01/2020 09:31

@sao81 yeah I've had a look into it and it says for 90% of people it resolves! So not too worried :)

@mumofbun Congratulations!! How exciting! Boy mums unite! Hopefully the placenta issues are resolved by your next scan!

TwinklyTwinkle · 17/03/2020 04:03

Hi ladies!
How are you all doing? Not much longer for us now! Hope you're all doing ok with this coronavirus stuff Sad xx

Raindancer411 · 21/03/2020 11:42

Hi, worrying a little bit as someone has died of the virus in the hospital I have to go to for scans and to give birth.

TwinklyTwinkle · 21/03/2020 16:46

Hi! Oh gosh Sad Have they said how they're managing births in the midwife departments? The place I'm due to give birth has closed off the Midwifery Led Unit to everyone except pregnant mums showing symptoms! I'm Consultant led anyway, but it means all mums are now giving birth on the Consultant Led Unit and I'm a bit worried about overcrowding.. They have assured us though that pregnant women and their babies won't be exposed to anyone at risk at all..hopefully it's similar at your hospital?

Raindancer411 · 24/03/2020 02:49

@TwinklyTwinkle They have a special premie section so cannot see them not being really careful around maternity areas at mine (I hope).

TwinklyTwinkle · 24/03/2020 08:15

I'm really hoping this all calms down soon 😔 I'm on an NHS Facebook page for pregnant women in Wales where they've been giving guidance to pregnant women because of cancellations to antenatal/breastfeeding classes etc, and yesterday I saw that you're only allowed 1 birth partner and as soon as you've had the baby, your birth partner has to leave and is restricted to visiting hours which are 2 hours a day. I know it's necessary and the alternative is worse, but I'm just so sad that family can't come and meet the baby and that my husband won't get to be around much after the birth.. bit scary.

@Raindancer411 @TwinklyTwinkle hi ladies! Im doing ok, induction booked for 13th May so just under 4 weeks to go before our little man arrives! Been told that he cant come into the induction suite but once ive been moved onto delivery hes allowed in until i get moved to postnatal ward so hoping it doesnt change before I go in

TwinklyTwinkle · 16/04/2020 23:56

@sao81 Ahh that's so exciting, not long till you meet your little one!

ArthurandJessie · 17/04/2020 00:43

Hi everyone ! Having twins hopefully in May was due 6th June but being induced on 24th May if they haven't come before then! Having two boys ! So excited to meet them now 😍 hope everyone is staying healthy and safe xx

Raindancer411 · 18/04/2020 08:00

How is everyone? I have a scan today, last one before baby! But worried about going in as last one 2 weeks ago the sonographer wore no mask and it was still pretty packed in the waiting room, and limited sanitiser.

TwinklyTwinkle · 18/04/2020 10:06

@ArthurandJessie Congratulations!! Twins are so exciting!! Are they your first?

@Raindancer411 Good luck today! Hopefully you'll be fine, my last growth scan 2 weeks ago, no one was wearing masks, but had another one on Wednesday this week and people seemed much more kitted up! My husband wasn't allowed in and they made women sanitise our hands on a giant sanitiser board thing and took our temperatures before even entering the building!

Raindancer411 · 18/04/2020 16:23

Just spent nearly 3hours in hospital whilst I had my 36 week scan as she was not behaving. I am not quite 36 weeks and she is measuring 6lb 7oz already!!

My sonographer wore a mask but he had to get a colleague in at one point and he wasn't. Then to top it off I had to drink water and use one of their cups in the waiting room 🤢 My anxiety is now through the roof!!

sao81 · 19/04/2020 19:51

@arthurandjessie congrats on the twin news!! I always said I'd love twins but never want to be pregnant again so no chance now 🤣

@raindancer411 try not to worry too much!! When I was in the other day the consultant didn't have a mask on, but she still kept a 2 metre distance, I actually heard them outside the curtain saying about how they will wear the ppe if they will be physically examinining you, so I really wouldnt let it worry you too much

TwinklyTwinkle · 17/05/2020 23:06

Hi! How's everyone doing?

Just thought I'd check in to say that I've had my lovely baby boy! He was due 25th May, but ended up being born on May 8th due to me being induced as he was underweight! He's perfect 😍

Hope everyone's doing ok and some lovely May babies have arrived/are on their way!

Raindancer411 · 22/05/2020 18:03

@TwinklyTwinkle Hi, I am over my due date now!!! Had reduced movement so they are looking to induce me. How was yours? Congrats on your baby 👶

TwinklyTwinkle · 23/05/2020 00:59

@Raindancer411 Thankyou! ❤️ Ahh exciting you're so close! How over are you?
Being induced was ok! I was a bit nervous, but went into the ward and they said they would start me on a 24 hour pessary to induce me, then if that didn't work, then 6 hour gels, then if that didn't work, then a pitocin drip and then c-section as a final resort! Thankfully in the end, the pessary worked and at the end of the 24 hours I went into labour and he was born within an hour and a half! Few stitches and quite a lot of lost blood, but so worth it!

Raindancer411 · 23/05/2020 01:25

@TwinklyTwinkle 40+4 now. I lost a lot of blood with my first but been told they will have meds to hand this time,in case it happens again...

TwinklyTwinkle · 26/05/2020 02:25

@Raindancer411 Good luck with baby!! Keep us updated! 💕

Raindancer411 · 25/06/2020 13:52

@Twinklytwinkle Sorry I been so side tracked. Daughter was born 25/5 at 9:41pm. The induction was so quick!! Once they gave me the drip, she was here within the 2 hours!!

TwinklyTwinkle · 25/06/2020 17:51

@Raindancer411 Congratulations!! I bet she's beautiful! Hope you've been getting on ok 😊
