@TwinklyTwinkle I was 11 weeks on Saturday too. I had a really good week last week but yesterday started to feel like I was getting to cold and today I've felt so unwell! I woke up at 5am and didn't get back to sleep. I called in sick so spent the day trying to sleep but got no where and usually I'm an easy napper! Felt the sickest I have in ages at the same time don't know if it's connected.

@mumofbun oh nooo! I googled it a bit today and found old threads on here where people have said their sickness ramped up at 11 weeks, a couple said they found out after it was twins! 😳😂 Hopefully your cold will clear up! Have you been offered the flu jab?

sao81 · 05/11/2019 06:17

@TwinklyTwinkle thank you!

@mumofbun try book in for the flu jab when you're feeling better, the dead arm is worth it xx

Raindancer411 · 05/11/2019 07:39

I have my flu jab on Friday and have never had one before. My son has had all his jabs so I am not anti vac, but I don't like introducing more than I need into my system and it kicks off my anxiety

mumofbun · 08/11/2019 12:15

@TwinklyTwinkle @sao81
Sorry all, been in bed most of the week! Back to work today at last - the cold was bad but definitely wasn't flu as no fever! It was just really hard as it seemed to be all in my sinuses and all i was allowed was paracetamol and menthol steam :(

The midwife said that the flu jab is usually offered at the 12 week scan in this area so hopefully i will get it next Friday. @Raindancer411 try and think of it more that you're getting it for the baby and hopefully that will make it easier for you

TwinklyTwinkle · 08/11/2019 12:30

@mumofbun Glad you're feeling better! Good to know about the flu jabs! I was offered it at 8 weeks or so but i've never had flu or the jab before either so I was a bit worried about getting it, and thought I'd wait until the second trimester if i do!

Week 11 has been the worst for sickness, but at last my scan is on Monday at 11! Hoping everything goes well! Quite excited to finally see the baby and for it to all seem real!

mumofbun · 08/11/2019 13:05

@TwinklyTwinkle yay not long to wait at all!! Mine is next Friday so just a week to go!

Raindancer411 · 08/11/2019 14:56

Had to cancel my flu jab and rebook as been coming out in an itchy spotty rash past few days. I saw doc who said he would suggest it looks viral and to rebook flu jab and keep an eye on the rash.

PrinnyPree · 08/11/2019 15:20

Hello hello! Can I join in please! Grin

I'm 37 years old and due on the 25th May this is my first (late starter) and have my scan on Monday.

"Morning" sickness has been a bag of bums, and I've put on far too much weight for the first trimester but constant grazing is the only thing that staves off the nausea (or at least makes it less crappy) so looking forward to the second trimester.

TwinklyTwinkle · 08/11/2019 16:17

@PrinnyPree Hi and welcome! Exciting times!! What time is your scan on Monday? I'm really looking forward to second trimester too, I've heard good things!

PrinnyPree · 08/11/2019 20:25

Hi @TwinklyTwinkle 2:40pm I can't wait, so many worries and all the proof I have that I'm even pregnant is a line on a stick and feeling like crap lol Wink

I can't wait for that realness, a heartbeat to make this rubbish part feel meaningful. Really can't wait. Xxx

I bet you're excited for your scan too, wish mine was in the morning, I'm not going to be able to concentrate well at work lol.

TwinklyTwinkle · 08/11/2019 21:14

@prinnypree Yes!! I feel exactly the same! It's crazy cos all the symptoms are there but for some reason i'm just really struggling to believe it until I see it for myself! So excited but nervous for it!

I guess the good thing about having it on a Monday is that weekends fly by, so it'll be Monday before we know it haha!

mumofbun · 10/11/2019 17:47

@PrinnyPree a bag of bins 😂😂 sorry you've been feeling so sick! My sicky feeling (I was never actually sick) seems completely gone now which of course is making me worry there's now something wrong!! My scan is Friday morning though so not long to go!

OP posts:
PrinnyPree · 11/11/2019 10:14

Hi @mumofbun yeah I've managed to get away with not actually puking too, however the sick feeling is still knocking around (although much less than it was) I wouldn't worry if you feel better its supposed to dissipate around now, you just struck lucky or maybe just have a ninja constitution. I've put on 8 pounds just eating the feeling away which is a bit naughty. Blush I'm going to end up humongous if I can't go back to a regular healthy diet soon instead of the all you can eat sandwich diet. I look so pregnant already I suspect half my coworkers have already guessed I'm up the duff.

Hey have any of you guys noticed the good hair yet? My hair is bloody great at the moment, my skin is a hormonal spotty grease mess but my hair is fabulous. swoosh

Fingers crossed for all the scans this week I can't wait for this afternoon. Xxx

TwinklyTwinkle · 11/11/2019 12:22

Hi everyone!

12 week scan done! Currently in the waiting area to get my bloods taken, but everything developing ok, and a very wriggly baby! I'm 12 weeks rather than 12+2 as I originally thought, due 25th May 2020! Exciting to finally have an official due date and know everything is ok, the anxiety has been crazy!!

mumofbun · 11/11/2019 14:02

@PrinnyPree yes my hair is so long and thick! it's always been thick but i think especially so at the moment - and my MIL commented on it saying she thinks it's grown loads. Need to get it cut actually haha. And my skin is the same, been really misbehaving so i've had to step up my skincare. Hope the scan goes well this afternoon :)

@TwinklyTwinkle that has to be one of the best scan photos from 12 weeks i've ever seen! Glad everything is ok and hopefully the anxiety will settle now!

OP posts:
PrinnyPree · 11/11/2019 21:25

@TwinklyTwinkle eeek amazing pic, crystal clear you must be super excited!!! Also thats funny that you thought that you were 12+2 and now you're 12 as I've got the exact opposite!

Anywhoo here's my pic everything seems to be ticking along nicely, so happy to get a pic, finally feels so real xxx new due date for me is 23rd May. _

TwinklyTwinkle · 11/11/2019 22:20

@mumofbun @PrinnyPree Thanks guys! It took the sonographer a while to get the photos and do the measurements, I think he wanted to get a good one!
@mumofbun eek not long to wait for your scan now! I hope this week flies by!

mumofbun · 12/11/2019 09:10

@PrinnyPree another great scan pic!!

@TwinklyTwinkle thanks me too i can't wait!

TwinklyTwinkle · 12/11/2019 10:31

@PrinnyPree Lovely pic!! Baby looks so cosy!!

sao81 · 13/11/2019 16:49

Had a scan today as been bleeding again, our little wriggler is measuring ahead at 12+2 but will find out officially at dating scan next week. They said the bleeding could be placenta moving, has anyone had this before?

End of May Babe
PrinnyPree · 13/11/2019 17:39

@sao81 Not had any bleeding myself and this is my first, but have seen plenty of Mums on the forum who've had bleeds and everything is perfectly fine, sending loves as it must be worrying. Love the pic of your little wriggler _ xxx

TwinklyTwinkle · 13/11/2019 18:21

@sao81 Lovely scan pic, glad everything is ok!
I haven't had any bleeding myself (not even an implantation bleed) and my midwife was really shocked in my 8 week booking appointment that I hadn't had anything (so then of course I was worrying maybe it was abnormal?!) Try not to worry, from her reaction, I think a lot of women experience it! It's good they got you in for a scan to check everything was ok though! Xx

Raindancer411 · 13/11/2019 18:23

Had my scan today and they have put me forward by 3 days. Now waiting nervously on the blood results for the screening. I am sure he said it was a 1.06 when he measured it but means nothing to me

sao81 · 13/11/2019 18:40

@PrinnyPree @TwinklyTwinkle thank you! Im hoping when i have my scan next week they might be able to tell me more about it xx
