Hello, can I join too?

I'm roughly 7 weeks with my first. I have only told my Dad at present and he is super excited that he might have his first grandchild on his birthday (23rd may).

I currently feel like I've got a perpetual hangover that wont budgeConfused and my limbs go numb when I sleep

RachelC90 · 03/10/2019 07:44

I'm due 31st may, this will be my 3rd.
I have to say it's my worst pregnancy.
I feel sick all day every day, super tired from the moment I get up, sore boobs etc.
Gone off food completely as it makes me feel even more sick going to ring my gp today to see if there is anything to help. Congratulations ladies

mumofbun · 03/10/2019 16:14

@sao81 hope you're ok that sounds stressfull1!

@Cazzy198 mine might be on my MIL birthday!!

@RachelC90 Sorry you're feeling so sick!! Hoping things get better.

I'm starting to feel less tired which is good. Still off food though. Just feel full all the time.

@mumofbun how dod DPs take the news? The bloated feeling is awful isnt it?!
@RachelC90 what did the GP say?

mumofbun · 04/10/2019 08:08

@tiredmoma think my DPs were just shocked. Mum seemed excited when we left but don't think they expected it! MIL was ecstatic, FIL is a man of few words so not sure!

The bloated feeling is awful and doesn't seem to be letting up if anything it's worse 😭

Hi Ladies!

Is it ok if I join too please? I was in a May 2020 group, but I think maybe it closed down because it had too many messages in it! Glad I've found this one because I think I'm due around May 27th! I'm 6 weeks and 7 days and morning nausea has kicked in horrifically for me this week! Its me and my husband's first child and we're really excited! Due to meet the midwife for my booking appointment next Friday 11th Oct Smile

Raindancer411 · 04/10/2019 13:47

I told my mum yesterday and got the reply I expected, following her comments the first time I told her I was pregnant. She loved my son and I don't understand why she can not be like most mums and excited. Her comment was that it was my fault (it wasn't expected pregnancy) and she doesn't want to know. Don't think she quite means it how it sounds but I feel sad that she cannot be more supportive.

Raindancer411 · 04/10/2019 13:47

Sorry loves, the phone changed it to loved 😂

Adam1993 · 04/10/2019 14:39

Hi all,

I’m 26 and expecting baby number 1 on May 31st.

Had little blood today on tissue so currently waiting at the doctors. Feeling really scared in case it’s bad news. Was up during the night with vomiting and Diarrhea. Reckon I should be concerned? Still got sore boobs and all other symptoms!

HopefulHun · 04/10/2019 16:38

Am I too late to join? I'm 6 weeks today and due 29th May 2020..

I don't feel massively different other than sore boobies! And tiredness.

Anyone told their friends/family yet? 😊

Cazzy198 · 04/10/2019 18:50

@Adam1993 how did it go at the Drs?

@HopefulHun I have told my Btothers and Dad but only because they could do with some good news at the moment. My work know because of ghd job I do and I'm desperately trying to hide it from everyone else.

I'm roughly 7+5 and my stomach has suddenly expanded over the last 2 days and looks huge.

I have an insatiable appetite at present but I'm completely off coffee, sweets, fruit and chocolate. All I want is protein and cheese!

Anyone else had similar?

tiredmoma · 04/10/2019 23:55

@mumofbun it will take a little time for it to sink in for them but im sure when it does they will be over the moon

Adam1993 · 05/10/2019 07:39

@Cazzy198 I’ve got a scan at EPU on Monday morning. However, just been on phone to 111 with suspected UTI. Feel so unwell & pain & vomiting after I wee. Waiting for doctor to ring me back

Cazzy198 · 05/10/2019 08:56

@Adam1993 That sounds painful and stressful. My thoughts are with you, I hope everything is well ❤

Raindancer411 · 05/10/2019 14:36

Anyone else having trouble finding things to drink that doesn't make them feel ill?

Cazzy198 · 05/10/2019 15:10

@Raindancer411 I mainly drink water and herbal teas now. Fizzy drinks are a definite no for me and I've gone off squash, tea and coffee

TwinklyTwinkle · 05/10/2019 15:29

@Raindancer411 Me! Feeling horrific at the moment! My husband went out and bought some ginger ale and ginger cordial but I can't face drinking any of it!

@Adam1993 Oh no, hope you're ok! UTI's even when you're not pregnant are the worst! 😔

sao81 · 06/10/2019 11:27

@Adam1993 i had bleeding in my first pregnancy and everything went well. I've had it again this time round also got a scan om Tuesday at EPU, they said its just my cervix as got erosion? But they will scan to be on safe side

sao81 · 06/10/2019 11:28

I've completely lost my appetite, feeling constantly sick and exhausted, definitely dont remember feeling this bad first time round! Worrying as ive taken a day off work incase i still feel bad tomorrow, but just drained

mumofbun · 10/10/2019 16:36

Sorry everyone i went away for a few days and completely neglected this thread!!

Hi @TwinklyTwinkle that's why i started this one as i thought it would be better to have people closer in date to chat with :) The problem i had with the ttc ones was that everyone was in the same month but could almost be a month's difference between our AFs.

I just had my booking appointment! Took forever but glad it's done! Wasn't sure what to expect but lots of questions and samples seems obvious now.

@Raindancer411 that's sounds horrible sorry! do you have other people you can rely on for support?

@Adam1993 How are things going? Hope the scan went well!

Welcome @HopefulHun I've told both parents and PIL and my sister and best friends....and my husband has told a couple of people. Seems like suddenly loads of people know!

When is everyone telling their work? I wasn't going to until after the first scan but now i'm worried i should due to h&s.

@sao81 The sickness has hit me the last coupe of days too and i'm so tired :(

Raindancer411 · 10/10/2019 16:51

@mumofbun Only a couple of friends. Sadly the MIL passed away a few years after I had my son. She was an old school midwife and was very supportive and helpful.

HopefulHun · 10/10/2019 16:59

@mumofbun thank you!

What was involved in the first appointment? I have mine on Thursday this week. Does it make it feel any more real?

With very few symptoms and not really seeing any doctors or anything yet it's all very surreal!

mumofbun · 11/10/2019 13:17

@Raindancer411 focus on your friends then. That's so sad about your MIL but i'm sure you'll find a lot of things she said to you then will come back to you and be their own kind of support!

@HopefulHun no it all still seems quite surreal to me too. I'm not sure when it will sink in properly! The appointment was mainly a long questionnaire that the midwife went through and filled in with me and my husband - mainly health history of us and close family. Then they did a urine sample, checked height and weight and took many blood samples (5 vials i think). There was then some talking points they went over - things like vitamins, vaccines that will be offered to me, foods to avoid. A lot was things i already knew but was good to be told by someone trained! Now i'm just waiting for a letter for my 1st scan.

TwinklyTwinkle · 11/10/2019 15:48

@mumofbun You're so right, its nice having a group where we're all so close in date! I had my booking appointment this morning - pretty much the same as yours, lots of questions about family history etc! Had a trained midwife and a student one and they were both lovely! I've had quite a bit of nausea and asked for a bit of advice on management on it, but they said unfortunately there's not that much that can be done unless you're struggling to keep anything down at all! Its a good sign the baby is developing well, so that's a bright side at least! @hopefulhun it definitely makes it feel more real going to the appointment! We got our 12 week scan date for 11/11/19 at 11am!

I told my manager at work yesterday and she was so excited and lovely! Said I could change my working times to accommodate sickess etc if needed which was really nice! Also told my colleague the other week because we work really closely and I felt so rough I couldn't be bothered to hide it from him lol.

mumofbun · 11/10/2019 16:27

@TwinklyTwinkle oh that's so nice! For some reason telling my work is the thing that i'm most worried about at the moment.
