Bit cheeky as my due date is May 30th, hope no one minds. Blush

The May group seems quite established. I've been slow to come to back to the Mumsnet fold, did not expect to fall first month trying.

Really excited to hear about all your lovely BFP's and share our pregnancy journeys. Smile

Got my BFP today. Expecting my 2nd. DS was a May '18 baby.

Hi All, Hope it's ok that I join... I'm 5+2, 36yrs and this is my first! My husband is a bit older, so I'm quite anxious about risk. However, just trying to keep busy and not get too excited... but that's easier said than done. At present, no nausea, hungry all the time. Unusually for me, I'm having sleeping problems - even when I'm worried about something it normally doesn't affect my sleep - particularly when I'm doing long shifts at work - anyone feeling similar? Doesn't help that I'm tiddling away every few hours...
Any advice? I might have a go at some yoga... but I'm not very good at all the quiet stuff!!! All the best to everyone, it's so lovely to read all your posts and have kindred spirits 😘 xxx

Welcome @DulcetMoans , @MissSparkles81 and @Percephone!

@MilsCookie hopefully you can line up a scan while in Sydney.

Sorry to hear about your difficult birth @PepePig - hopefully you're not too anxious on top of dealing with the morning sickness.

6w today and the stretching pains have eased up somewhat and no sickness yet thankfully!

LillianFullStop · 07/10/2019 11:05

Welcome @ClaraDot! It's normal to feel anxious in the first trimester just take care of yourself, reduce stress, start prenatal vitamins and instruct DH to spoil you Smile - hopefully you're one of the lucky ones and escape the sickness altogether!

DulcetMoans · 07/10/2019 13:20

The waiting is the hardest bit and defo makes you anxious @claradot.

Not sure when I will start believing it enough to call a doctor. Not yet at least!

Anny27 · 07/10/2019 14:42

@LillianFullStop same i am 6+1 and not getting so many cramps anymore and not feeling nauseous either.....waiting for it to kick in haha!

Whatnext11 · 07/10/2019 15:56

Thanks, feeling much better now, though still tired and wiped out.
Congratulations to all those joining us. I can't wait until the 12 week scan so I can feel property excited!

DeviousBrie · 07/10/2019 17:26

I keep some oat cakes (probably similar to digestive but in my mind, healthier 😂) with me in case I get nauseous. The cheesy oat cakes from nairns are my favourites.

Tigger83 · 07/10/2019 20:13

I'm so bloody hungry all the bloomin time. I'm worried I'm starting to show already but hoping it's just bloat!!

LillianFullStop · 07/10/2019 22:11

I know @Anny27 I feel like another symptom is waiting around the corner! Boobs are feeling fuller but not sore yet

@Tigger83 I am ferociously hungry all the time too plus I get cranky unless I get fed lol! Problem is the bloating! I could fit into my jeans at the beginning of a meal but by the end it becomes unbearably tight! Thank goodness for this weather I can hide the undone top button under my jumper!

ClaraDot · 08/10/2019 07:16

Hungry all the time - I'm really struggling at work - need some sort of nosebag contraption!!
I think little and often is key for me, as when I eat my normal size portion x3, the bloating is ridiculous. And my favourite fizzy water is definitely off the menu now.....!!! Xx

MamaPeas · 08/10/2019 07:36

Congrats on all the lovely BFP's, if anyone dances the Facebook group, it's here www.facebook.com/groups/495865860991539/ x

Oooo nervous to join the group in case anyone I know is in there!

Only told my husband this morning - is that bad? I know it's not great. But I am still not feeling sure about it all. Going to buy a FR today and see if the line is stronger yet.

Nukins · 08/10/2019 21:56

Hi AllSmile
Can I join also!
I'm 37
Only 4+3 which all being well would make due date 13/6/20
This is my 3rd
❤️

LillianFullStop · 09/10/2019 16:05

Welcome @nukins!

Any early symptoms for you?

I'm feeling sick now and then - strange as I didn't get it at all with DD1. Seems to come on when my stomach is empty. Maybe I should just eat constantly? 😂

Nukins · 09/10/2019 21:49

Hey!
I'm not really feeling anything yet (just tender boobs 🙈)
I was so lucky with my last pregnancies sickness & health wise so fingers crossed no nasties this time!🤞🏻 I am already feeling like the first trimester is going to drag haha! I shouldn't say that I know but I find these first 12 weeks frustrating 🙈🙈 hope you feel ok x

DulcetMoans · 10/10/2019 08:31

Eating constantly sounds like the perfect plan lillian. I felt sick this morning for the first time but I haven't eaten yet so that is probably why.

Hi Nukins! Third time round for you then, you'll be a pro! Were the other two pregnancies similar to each other or different?

Really does feel like it's dragging. Only 4+2 I think but feel like i've know for agggggeeeeessss!

Anny27 · 10/10/2019 08:42

@dulcetmoans i am 6+4 and it feels like time has stood still haha!

@LillianFullStop only time i feel sick is when i brush my teeth 😬😬

Whatnext11 · 10/10/2019 12:40

I'm nervous today, have felt really sick the last few days but feeling much better today. Which should be good but I'm scared something is wrong with the baby. This is such a horrible time waiting for 12 weeks. It may be that I slept better, or that I'm wearing some wrist bands which is helping the sickness, but I am worried.

Whatnext11 · 10/10/2019 13:07

So glad this place is here to vent! Took wrist bands off to shower and feel more nauseous now, and remembered I had such sore boobs when I woke up. Just need to keep calm.

Nukins · 10/10/2019 21:54

@DulcetMoans yes 3rd time 😬
Hope you're feeling bit better! My 2 pregnancies were very similar first one was probably easier as last time I had horrible reflux and an annoying cough for the whole of the last trimester so hoping that doesn't return!! Both my babies had loads of hair so lots of people say that's why but not sure if that's an old wives tale?? My 2 labours were totally different though so I'm a little anxious about that but excited on the other side too as I loved it 🙈🙈 (will not bore you with any unnecessary gorey details)xx

cookielove · 11/10/2019 15:32

I am very tentatively dipping my toes in.

I am around 6-7 weeks, due date end of May!

I have been keeping myself away from these boards but have a bit of hope.

I have 1 ds who is 5. And a total dream child Smile

Have been ttc since he was 2 and have 5 mc since. This pregnancy started with lots of bleeding but we have seen a heart beat so we are hoping for the best!

Sunsh1ne87 · 11/10/2019 18:41

Hi, got my positive test on Tuesday night. Worked out we conceived on 25th September and due date 17th June. Been so good reading through these posts and finding out I'm not the only one who experience cramps for a couple of days this week, easing now thankfully. Doctors appointment isn't until 23rd October, feels like such a long wait. Anyone else from Northern Ireland? x

MissisBee · 11/10/2019 20:45

Hi
I'm also from NI, Sunsh1ne87 , and due date 16th June. This is #2 for me. My dr's appointment is on the 28th - could have had earlier, but going on holiday

Sunsh1ne87 · 11/10/2019 21:17

Enjoy your holiday x

LillianFullStop · 13/10/2019 11:02

@Whatnext11 I think we're all in the same boat with worry. I booked an early scan for reassurance as I can't imagine waiting until 12w!

Which nausea bands worked for you? Mine turned up a notch since yesterday along with a cracking headache all u want to do is lie down and sleep - not easy with a toddler. Threw up twice and couldn't enjoy my anniversary lunch at a lovely restaurant.
