Bit cheeky as my due date is May 30th, hope no one minds. Blush

The May group seems quite established. I've been slow to come to back to the Mumsnet fold, did not expect to fall first month trying.

Really excited to hear about all your lovely BFP's and share our pregnancy journeys. Smile

Got my BFP today. Expecting my 2nd. DS was a May '18 baby.

Fx for everyone

Rinoa · 11/11/2019 22:10

Thanks ladies , have my first me scan Thursday :) that ultrasound is lovely !

QueenofWhisperz · 12/11/2019 10:04

I know this is against the grain, but can I join you hens? I tested positive yesterday and I'm most likely due in July--the antenatal group I joined is dead and they don't seem as exciting as you lot.

I don't know why, but this pregnancy; I already feel like a Chicken. I'ma weird one.

TwittleBee · 12/11/2019 10:07

@QueenofWhisperz haha that is quite funny because I literally just posted in the July thread over on the Pregnancy board because I feel like this one has gone dead since everyone left to join the FB page!

But welcome!

QueenofWhisperz · 12/11/2019 10:23

Thank you @twittlebee

theres a facebook group? Is there a whatsapp group?

TwittleBee · 12/11/2019 10:35

Yeah @MamaPeas started the FB group but I dont think there is a Whatsapp Group yet unless it is linked via the FB one?

TwittleBee · 12/11/2019 10:49

I have a link to a FB group if anyone would like it?

Notnowokay · 12/11/2019 10:59

No, FB for me. I haven't even posted about my marriage or children on there. I don't why but I don't like posting pictures of them there. But there is a beautiful picture of my sons on WhatsApp, if someone makes one, I would join that.

marmitecheesetoast · 12/11/2019 13:23

I’m still here! Feeling very sick and sorry for myself in the corner 😂

I’m 7 weeks today, feel like I lag right at the back of this group as EDD 30th June. And going by my last experience with DD I’ll be massively overdue!

Had a revelation today that sucking extra strong mints on the tram to work helped distract me from the nausea and also went some way to masking the smells which I have become very sensitive too 😂

Rinoa · 12/11/2019 14:06

Nausea has definitely gotten worse for me now haha I'm 10 weeks today . It's my first, and feel like I'm starting to show. I've a curvy tall girl so not sure how big I will get! Is anyone showing or feel like they are now on their first ?

MamaPeas · 12/11/2019 14:16

Hey @Whatnext11just seen your post. Sorry our house has been down with the lurgie. What did you want to ask. X

@marmitecheesetoast extra strong mints have had the opposite effect on me...normally love them but they've been making me nauseous! Had to switch to polos after finally realising!

Nukins · 12/11/2019 16:36

Feeling so 🤢 today 9+3

Rinoa · 12/11/2019 16:36

Ginger biscuits seem to help me with nausea, but very little 😂

QueenofWhisperz · 12/11/2019 17:47

same! I can't admit my pregnancy to anyone except my husband and I really want to be the hen that I am and talk about everything. I am super frightened, excited, happy and apprehensive. I could really use a girl gang right now.

spierse · 12/11/2019 22:22

Anyone else dying from morning sickness....this feels like it will never end I seem to throw up half of everything I eat....@twitlebee do you have the Facebook group info, i find these boards a challenge they really need a scroll to bottom link!

marmitecheesetoast · 13/11/2019 09:32

@couchroastpotato it’s funny what works for one person doesn’t for others! Glad you e found something that’s working for you though.

TwittleBee · 13/11/2019 09:35

@spierse I inboxed you.

Morning sickness is certainly here for me. Throwing up throughout the day. It is same as previous pregnancy that food itself is the fricking trigger, will only manage to get through half my meal before throwing up.

Tiredness is here too! Blerugh.

Legendsonly · 13/11/2019 10:52

@cookielove What a great scan pic!!

I am feeling so awful this week, constant sickness (throwing up bile most mornings), exhaustion and on the verge of tears. I hate looking in the mirror as I look huge but I haven’t actually gained any weight yet. I hate complaining about this, I don’t want to sound ungrateful, and then I feel guilty!! Gah emotions!!!!

Rinoa · 13/11/2019 11:36

Oh I feel lucky I don't actually throw up. But feeling of being sick is constant 😫 have to go for a walk for lunch as the smell of food makes it worse !

LillianFullStop · 13/11/2019 12:47

Hello all - morning sickness has eased up over here at 10+4. There still certain smells that will make me gag and feel ill but no actual throwing up thankfully! Probably because I have learnt to keep snacks (almonds, plain crackers, plain tortilla chips) handy to avoid that empty stomach feeling and to avoid triggers (onions, strong cheese, rich flavours).

Feeling for you all that are still in the worst of it - it is horrible!!! hopefully it will ease up soon.

Any 12 week scans coming up? Mine is next Thursday.

LondonGirl83 · 13/11/2019 17:56

The nausea has kicked in for me in a major way now. Don’t want to eat anything! With my first I lost a stone in the first trimester it was so bad. I’m 7 weeks today.

I’m tall and a size 8 and am absolutely showing. It’s probably all gas...

My knuckles have been really itchy a night for the last couple of weeks so I’m going to the doctor on Friday to make sure it isn’t anything I should worry about.

Feel better ladies!

BabyBird20 · 13/11/2019 22:25

After waiting what seems like forever I have my booking in appointment on Monday!! Yay! I will be 9 weeks then so hopefully not too long til I find out when my 12 week scan is! I have never known time for so slowly!

For those who've got experience, do I need to take DH to this appointment?

Thanks 😊

TwittleBee · 14/11/2019 09:12

Nah @BabyBird20 partners dont need to go, it might be nice if he wants to but really isn't needed as long as you know his family's medical history e.g. heart issues etc.

1st trimester always goes the slowest!

TwittleBee · 14/11/2019 09:13

Oh and be prepared with a full bladder as you'll need to give a wee sample! But also ensure you drink something 20 minutes before you so are hydrated so that your veins are easy to get to for the blood tests.

Mine took 1.5 hours but I think that's because of all my history, my last ones didnt take that long they were about 45 minutes.
