Hi everyone! I can't find a May 2020 group yet. Most of you don't even know you're expecting yet. I'm due May 1st and got my bfp on 9 dpo. So I'm only 3 weeks 3 days. I feel like I may be lonely in here for a little while.
Looking forward to being joined by other mummies to be :)
This is my 3rd pregnancy. 1st was 7 years ago and I have a 7 year old son. 2nd was 5 years ago which ended in a m/c feeling positive for my rainbow.

@PrincessConsuela12 that's reassuring 😘 my friend said she was the same right up to about 6 weeks. Atleast we're all in this together. How far on are you today? I'm 4+2

momo20 · 30/08/2019 07:35

Hi everyone! This is my first pregnancy and I'm worried as I don't seem to have any of the symptoms everyone's talking about. I'm 4 weeks, 4 days.

lovepositivity · 30/08/2019 07:54

@momo20 I'm 1 day behind you and no real symptoms either. It does worry me but then I think it's still quite early. Many people only get signs from 6-8 weeks x

Victoria315 · 30/08/2019 08:13

We get symptoms and we worry and we don’t get symptoms and we worry! I think this is going to be a long few weeks until the 12 week scan! I’m exactly 4 weeks today x

PrincessConsuela12 · 30/08/2019 08:43

@FirstTimeMama91 I'm not entirely sure, using LMP I'm 5+2 but based on my early scan I'm around 4+5 🤷🏽‍♀️ it's only a few days out but can make a big difference when scanning.

I have my first social event tomorrow, a BBQ at friends house so nothing too crazy. I'm making a batch of sangria & just hoping no one asks to try some!!

PrincessConsuela12 · 30/08/2019 08:44

@AmIseeingRight It seems like October is ages away but it'll come around so quickly!

AmIseeingRight · 30/08/2019 08:56

Well after complaining about no real symptoms I started having mild cramps last night, they are on and off now and took a nice long walk so feel better. I'm 4+6 today and my CB said 3wks + so I'm feeling good as it's gone up which is reassuring.

I really want to keep fit and healthy, but being anaemic I can't do the exercises that I was doing before so I started walking and going swimming. What are people doing for exercise?

BecauseItIz · 30/08/2019 09:20

Hi everyone. I'm so happy to be taking a seat on the May bus. Think my EDD is the 4th. I have suddenly developed insomnia, have a lot of cramping and lower back pain. I can't stop smiling 😃

LuckyA · 30/08/2019 10:29

I'm not having many symptoms either but I think thats normal at this stage. I think its 6-8 weeks that symptoms really start to kick in.

@AmIseeingRight I'm also worrying about exercise. I keep getting scared I am doing too many core exercises and I shouldn't be! I am sticking to pilates, jogging, swimming for now. I've stopped doing body pump as I'm scared but I'm sure theres no reason not to do it! I'm just being OTT! After a mmc, I'm scared about every little thing this time round

jaysnr · 30/08/2019 11:17

Hi everyone, can I join! Think I'm due end of April although really by conception date it's early May. This will be my second I already have a little boy. I love due groups! The one I was in for DS was so supportive and it would be nice to share the journey again!

Moonstone12 · 30/08/2019 11:48

Hey. Although this is my 4th baby it's my other half's first! He was after a 'dad app' for the pregnancy. Do any other dads use any apps? There are loads for us mums (think I've downloaded about 4!) but he would really like one aimed at dads.
Any recommendations would be great :)

PrincessConsuela12 · 30/08/2019 16:05

@Moonstone12 I don't know of any app's but I'm getting my DH a book, it's called The Expectant Fathers Survival Guide. We're both completely new to this so I'm hoping it gives at least a few bits of necessary information x

PrincessConsuela12 · 30/08/2019 16:06

@jaysnr Welcome and congratulations 😊 how will you DS feel being an older brother?

Newlyexpectingmam · 30/08/2019 17:47

I’ve stopped doing my HIIT class and have slowed my running down, missing doing so much but not sure I’d have the energy either atm

jaysnr · 30/08/2019 18:56

@PrincessConsuela12 to be honest I'm so nervous about it, think I have some mum guilt about changing his life with a new baby! We got a bfp first month trying and it was within 2 weeks of deciding that we would test the waters with ttc. We just assumed getting pregnant would take months so we haven't wrapped our heads around it yet! I'm excited for him to grow up with someone close to him though x

BlueberryPoppy123 · 30/08/2019 18:59

@amiseeingRight are you in the UK. I see you have your 8 week booking in app. I'm only seeing the Dr on Monday as they made me wait 3 weeks.

@moonstone12 same for me my 2nd but my OH 1st. My son will be 8 when baby arrives. I can't wait to tell him he's been asking me and OH for a baby for the last 4 years bless him. Sure he will be less happy when he realises he will loose 1 of his bedrooms lol

@newlyexpectingmam I run too but have really slowed my speed down took me 45 minutes to do a 5k Parkrun last weekend. Killed me. I also have a 25k bike ride next month I'm very apprehensive about now but I have too many sponsors to back out.

BecauseItIz · 30/08/2019 19:13

@jaysnr my situation is similar to yours. We have a dd 13months and had decided to actively start trying, we only dtd once this month though and here I am. I couldn't be happier however I understand the mum guilt but you're right it's going to be lovely seeing them together. I'm so excited!

Newlyexpectingmam · 30/08/2019 19:18

@BlueberryPoppy123 I’ve been told as long as I was previously exercising there’s nothing stopping me from keeping going just to try keep it at conversational pace. I’m a run leader for my local running group so finding it hard to hide why I’m slowing down when usually leading speedier groups. Supposed to be doing gung ho inflatable 5k in a few weeks which I think I’ll be missing now. Just take it nice and easy on the bike ride and good luck!

Woolylamb · 30/08/2019 19:45

Hi everyone, I’m so impressed that some of you are keeping up with running and intense exercise, I’m so completely exhausted I can’t imagine feeling up to it at the moment. I’m also trying to revise for a big exam but just keep wanting to nap instead. I don’t remember having so many symptoms so early last time, I’m shattered all day but struggle to sleep all night, and the cramps are awful.

I’m also big on the mum guilt at the moment. I already feel like I don’t see enough of my boy because of work and now revision too but his life is going to change so enormously next May. Hopefully once the exam is over I can spend more time with him in the next few months.

Might go and have another nap now...

BlueberryPoppy123 · 30/08/2019 19:59

@woolylamb I've said the same. I'm sure my first I was just a little tired but this I have so many symptoms and only about 6 weeks.
I have literally only got to think of food and I could throw up. I can't prepare meals it makes me feel so incredibly sick I can't even describe it.
My OH is getting so frustrated I keep skipping dinner... So he's been making his dinner and eating alone. Last night he said i'm just being dramatic and lazy and just want him to do all the cooking... So I forced myself to make dinner but once it hit the table I just sat and cried the whole time I couldn't eat more than a mouthful I felt so sick after preparing it all. Think he felt pretty guilty then although he still didn't apologise!!
I'm barely eating anything I haven't been sick I just feel soooooo sick and I don't fancy anything just living on beans on toast for breakfast that gets made for me in work and coffee

@BlueberryPoppy123 yup in London, for all my hospital appointments but I'm tempted to have one at 8 weeks. My local MotherCare so them for £45 so will likely pay for that. Apart for the private scan, when are you booked in for you appointments or are you still waiting for the doc

Gosh! Your nausea sounds awful, especially so early on and I hope it means it will settle soon. I only have mild on/off cramps so counting myself very lucky.

PrincessConsuela12 · 30/08/2019 21:37

@jaysnr Oh bless you, it might take a little getting used to but I'm sure they'll be best friends & always have someone to play with 😊

Moonstone12 · 30/08/2019 21:44

@BlueberryPoppy123 it sounds like you have hyperemisis. It's a very severe type of morning sickness/nausea.

I suggest speaking to your gp (I'm seeing mine Wednesday) There is lots they can do to help ease your symptoms. There is no miracle cure unfortunately but help is available.

Also check out the hyperemisis page on here (think it's on the pregnancy forum) the ladies there are a great help and have so much info.

I really feel for you as I suffer from it and I've ended up hospitalised and on drips. It's mentally and physically draining. Please take care of yourself xxx

BlueberryPoppy123 · 30/08/2019 22:28

@amiseeingRight I have nothing other than my private scan yet. Still waiting to even see my Dr but not until Monday

@moonstone12 I thought for that you actually had to be being sick. I will mention it to my Dr Monday x

Morning all.
Took another clear blue and its now on 3+ which is good. I think i am just over 5 weeks now (5+1)
Have appointment 12th September, as local GP said they check here any time after 6 weeks. So I should be 7 weeks or almost 7 weeks at appointment. They will then do another appointment at 10-11 weeks.

Does anyone know if it will def be in internal scan at those dates? I have been told to arrive with a full bladder
