Hi everyone! I can't find a May 2020 group yet. Most of you don't even know you're expecting yet. I'm due May 1st and got my bfp on 9 dpo. So I'm only 3 weeks 3 days. I feel like I may be lonely in here for a little while.
Looking forward to being joined by other mummies to be :)
This is my 3rd pregnancy. 1st was 7 years ago and I have a 7 year old son. 2nd was 5 years ago which ended in a m/c feeling positive for my rainbow.

@sunshine8888 That's so exciting!! That baby will be so loved! Sounds weird, but I'm debating telling my manager at work! She's so lovely and supportive and it might be good because it'll make it easier when I've got appointments and stuff if she knows! I'd always be allowed to go anyway even if she didn't know, but I work in a university and September-November is the busiest time (annual leave is really limited during this time), so don't wanna be asking for doctors appointments more regularly etc and look like I'm taking the mick or anything!

AlmostAlwyn · 19/09/2019 19:23

I've told my mum and dad and my siblings, as I was visiting and we went away for the weekend all together. I wouldn't mind telling them if things went wrong. We'll wait until after my scan next week to tell MIL...

Lu1u · 19/09/2019 19:24

@twinklytwink oooo I also work at a university (not lecturing though!) I would tell your manager if you feel comfortable doing so, it will be one less stress off your mind if you don't have to worry about making up excuses/having more appointments

TwinklyTwinkle · 19/09/2019 19:35

@lu1u Oo snap! I don't lecture either, I'm administrative staff! That's the thing, I can't be bothered to think of loads of reasons why I need time off 😂 I'll have to think of some with my colleagues though anyway..
There are currently 8 women in my department all expecting in late 2019/2020!!

Sunshine8888 · 19/09/2019 19:47

@twinklytwinkle yes it’s great if you can tell your manager! Mine is male and probably wouldn’t notice if I was throwing up in my bin every day so I think I’ll leave it for now 😂 luckily my apps so far have been evenings so haven’t had to take any time off.

I know, I still have relatively young and healthy grandparents too and I think a baby would just bring so much joy to everyone. I so hope I can give them good news in a few weeks time x

mininionsteve · 19/09/2019 20:18

So I've had to undo my trousers at work this eve as they are just so tight! Only 7 and a half weeks I'm going to be a whale at this rate!!!

Sunshine8888 · 19/09/2019 20:32

My 12 week scan date has just come through for 10th October 😃 three weeks today!! Eek!!!

Coffeeandpixiedust · 19/09/2019 20:46

Hi everyone hoping to join your May Club just had my BFP due date 26th May. But of a shock only had my first baby last October. So we are going to have 2 under 2 🙈

november90 · 20/09/2019 07:46

@Coffeeandpixiedust awww that's amazing! Congratulations! I have a 2.5 year old and part of me regrets not having one sooner.... he loves babies and would love to have one at home so I think you're doing it just right :) 💗

@Sunshine8888 that's amazing!!! I bet you can't wait, 3 weeks is so soon too :) I've booked an early scan which is a week next Tuesday. I'm so nervous but equally excited!

I have only told my mum, husband and mother in law so far. I was gonna share the news with very close family only after my early scan... but one family member keeps trying to out me (she's guessed but I've not told her) which is upsetting me so maybe I'll keep my news to myself a bit longer to annoy her! :)

Lu1u · 20/09/2019 10:04

@twinklytwinkle wow that's crazy! There will be none of you left at this rate 😂 I just came back to work after having my first baby, I think my manager is going to be nice about it but quite surprised and a bit gutted I will be off again but hey ho!

@coffeeandpixiedust congrats on your BFP! Also joining you in the two under two camp, my first baby will be 20 months by the time baby 2 arrives. Life will be crazy but I love the fact they will only be 1 school year apart.

Sunshine8888 · 20/09/2019 13:08

@november90 you say that but it’s only been just over three weeks since I found out I was pregnant and it has dragged!! 😂I have a private scan next Saturday - follow up to 6 weeks - so hope all is well and then I can feel more excited about the 12 week mark. Because my symptoms have been so mild throughout and I’ve had regular spotting I am still so worried about mmc! Trying not to think about it but my mind goes to dark places 🤦🏽‍♀️😢

RainbowsX · 20/09/2019 13:27

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to introduce myself, I have been lurking for about 3 weeks now and never wanted to post anything due to my past history with pregnancies. I'm pregnant and this is my seventh pregnancy (No living children) I'm terrified. I had an ectopic at the begining of the year and had surgery and this pregnancy has came out the blue. I'm either 6/7 weeks pregnant not 100% sure on dates due to long cycles but I have a scan next Friday morning at EPU so should find out then. I have the worst nausea and sickness ever but I'm soo thankful to have it, never had it with any of my other pregnancies so I will take every symptom that's going lol. Hope evreyone is feeling as well as can be xx

Caspianberg · 20/09/2019 14:13

@RainbowsX - welcome

My nausea disappeared yesterday evening and I had a great sleep for the first time in weeks. Woke up thinking sickness had gone, but bam back by 11am in force.

Whatnext11 · 20/09/2019 14:40

Hoping to join your group. BFP yesterday, and my app reckons due date 28th May! Realised this may be why I'm exhausted - getting up at 9am, an afternoon lie down ( but struggling to sleep) and bed by 10. Good job I'm on leave! Headaches too, and the cramps I've read about. Will read back over the thread but is anyone else so tired do early (dpo 15) thanks!

flossy12 · 20/09/2019 17:20

@RainbowsX I'm so sorry to hear about your losses honey 👼🏼👼🏼🙁 fingers crossed for this one! The sickness is awful I'm sure but they say it normally clears up after the first trimester 👏🏼 I have my early scan Saturday so the day after you, I sure hope everything is going to be okay 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Caspianberg sorry to hear about your sickness too! I haven't had any as of yet 👏🏼🤞🏻 but don't think I've escaped it yet😅

november90 · 20/09/2019 17:52

@Sunshine8888 haha yes that's very true! Time is certainly dragging! If getting extra scans helps you then do it! If you can afford them, don't torture yourself with worry. I am so glad I've booked mine in as I'm also an absolute bag of nerves! I can't believe I'm pregnant, I'd be heartbroken if anything happened. It's so scary!!!

So I had a scary moment today! I was at the park with my on and had some yummy pains, I had a tennis as I thought it was indigestion. It then went a bit lower to my left hip/groin area and was there for about 40 mins. It was really really uncomfortable! Part of it felt like trapped wind as it came and went a little... as soon as I got home I went to the toilet and now feel better. When I was driving home I almost felt like I actually wanted to be physically sick! I'm more a nauseous type of person as opposed to a sick person so that was a big deal for me!
Should I be worried because I am! Sorry if this is a silly post or doesn't make sense... I'm so nervous!

november90 · 20/09/2019 17:53

OMG my spelling 😂
I was at the park with my SON. I had TUMMY pains so I had a RENNIES!

27Joanna · 21/09/2019 07:50

Hi everyone,

I had my pregnancy test last Tuesday and it looks like I'm 4+4.
My due date is 26th May 2020.
This is my second pregnancy, the first one was exactly 3 years ago but I had a MC when I was 9 weeks.
I am feeling a little bit anxious and tried to book an early scan at EGU but I was told to wait until 8 weeks.
This time round I have different symptoms, I need to go to the loo every 15 minutes, have a lot of cramps and very sore breasts. Last time I only had a metallic taste in my mouth.
I'm hoping those symptoms are a good sign this time.
I was wondering what vitamins brand would you recommend?
Good luck everyone Smile

27Joanna · 21/09/2019 07:52

@november90 I also get very painful trapped winds, I'm hoping that's normal

mrsg101 · 21/09/2019 08:17

@27Joanna I am also due on 26th May :) first baby. I have started taking vitabiotics pregnacare max just because I always used to take the wellwoman max and like the brand!
I am going to have a private reassurance scan at 7 weeks x @

Coffeeandpixiedust · 21/09/2019 08:20

@27joanna we have the same due date 😊

My pregnancy is turning out to be exactly the same as my last one no symptoms at all just crazy dreams and insomnia.

I hope everyone’s sickness and trapped wind eases up soon

november90 · 21/09/2019 08:25

@27Joanna I take the seven seas pregnancy vitamins! They are £5 in Asda and have all the same vitamins as the more experience brands :)
I defiantly think it must've been trapped wind yesterday so hopefully all normal :)

Wow! So at approx 6 weeks nausea has definitely settled in! My little boy woke me up at 5 am this morning and I felt too sickly to go back to sleep! I was on such a health Kick prior to getting pregnant, so much salad, veg, chicken, water.... it's almost like my body has had enough of that food and the thought of eating anything I ate a lot of before if making me feel ill! Anyone feel the same or is it random? I'm not complaining, it's just part of it isn't it!

november90 · 21/09/2019 09:51

Walking round morrinsons feeling 🤢! What's everyone doing to help ease? I've got some hard boiled sweets to suck on! In my last pregnancy food took the feeling away but I don't feel like eating anything!

Coastaldreamer · 21/09/2019 10:03

@november90 ughh I know exactly how you feel. This morning brushing my teeth I thought I was going to hurl!

We're off on holiday for a week so hopefully time goes quicker for me as by the time we come back I'll be 7 weeks.

Had a huge meltdown with DH last night saying that maybe we told parents too early and something is going to go wrong and was worried about my back pain. Kept googling missed miscarriage and worrying because my breasts felt a tiny bit less sore. Dunno why I do this to myself!!

Does anyone else have these worries ?

november90 · 21/09/2019 10:14

@Coastaldreamer well I got some assorted toffees and reluctantly ate them and they have really helped!
Oh bless you, it's just a massive countdown isn't it!
I'm so worried about it going wrong! I had the cramps yesterday and my arms really are achy today...... so I'm just frightening myself! I am more reassured with feeling more sickly though as this time last week I had nothing and I was worried... we can't win can we 🙈😂
