Hi everyone! I can't find a May 2020 group yet. Most of you don't even know you're expecting yet. I'm due May 1st and got my bfp on 9 dpo. So I'm only 3 weeks 3 days. I feel like I may be lonely in here for a little while.
Looking forward to being joined by other mummies to be :)
This is my 3rd pregnancy. 1st was 7 years ago and I have a 7 year old son. 2nd was 5 years ago which ended in a m/c feeling positive for my rainbow.

@KittenMittens1
Wow.. your work sounds amazing.
I'm dreading telling mine but I am also finding it very hard to hide.
I've had to take some sick days as my symptoms have been awful.. but I'm not sure how long I can keep having the odd day off, it looks suspicious!

Current main symptoms: feeling sick, tiredness, back ache, boob ache, acne (my back and face are covered), painful toilet trips.. sorry if it's tmi!

After eating the rainbow for a few weeks I'm now lucky to manage a cracker.
Reading through the posts, it seems like everyone else is going through it all too, so that's comforting! I'm 6+3 today.

mintbear · 13/09/2019 18:30

@november90
Midwife told me just paracetamol for pain relief, not sure if this will help with a cold tho, you must feel pants xx

Lu1u · 13/09/2019 19:17

@May2311 I'm 6 weeks today and the bloating is REAL. I look like how I did when I was about 4 months pregnant with my first! From what I recall I was really bloated in the first trimester with my first as well though and it went down at about 11 weeks... I wish I could say the same about the wind that went with it though 😳

Skiaddicted · 13/09/2019 19:17

@november90 paracetamol is about it......colds when pregnant are the worst, i had an awful one last time and paracetamol just wasnt enough Sad

Anyone elses boobs utter agony!! Considering taking paracetamol for them 🙈

Also has anyone else had a previous cs? If so have you started thinking about this birth? Im so undecided

Moonstone12 · 13/09/2019 19:35

@mintbear have you had your urine checked for a uti? Painful toilet trips (I'm now assuming you mean wee's) and back ache could be a sign of a uti.
If you meant 💩 then ignore me lol xx

flossy12 · 13/09/2019 19:44

@november90 I think I'm going to get myself another digital! I'm a worrier and just want to know that we're moving on to 2-3 or 3+ A's was 1-2 on the 7th

november90 · 13/09/2019 19:49

@flossy12 oh bless you, I do feel a lot better after taking it.... it's also made me realise that I might not be as far as I think and perhaps I'm expecting too much! I'll no doubt buy another next week but I'll try my best not too 🙈 if only they didn't cost a fortune! X

flossy12 · 13/09/2019 20:00

@november90 yeah £10 a time!! 😱 I'm going to get one I know I am already 😂 just want to be reassured, then have my scan on the 28th (private booked) so only 2 1/2 weeks to wait for that

mrsg101 · 13/09/2019 20:18

Hi everyone,

I have just found out I am pregnant at 10dpo Smile I’m in total shock! DH doesn’t believe it!
Please send positive vibes my way! I took a test totally expecting it to be negative. EDD would be 27th May 2020!!

ChaoticKate · 13/09/2019 20:22

@Countrysidegirls Pregnacare can make you nauseous because of the iron apparently. My midwife told me last time that it’s not uncommon for them to make people feel quite ill. All you actually need is the folic acid so you could try switching and see if it improves the nausea.

Huffthepuff · 13/09/2019 20:35

Yes I've heard that pregnancare can be really bad for sickness.

@Skiaddicted I had a cs last time and I'm going to ask for one again this time. My last one was an elective because baby was breach. It was a calm and fairly relaxed experience so I'm hoping for the same again! How are you feeling about it? Do you think you'll have a vbac?

I've cancelled my docs appointment and done a self referral online last night instead. So hopefully I'll get a scan date through the post soon 😬

november90 · 13/09/2019 20:42

@flossy12 oh how exciting! I have a private scan booked for the 2nd of October :) I asked her if she would do a bundle offer for early scan, early gender and later 3D and she's agreed to do it all for £120 which is just amazing! Worth checking out with your clinic if you think you'll go again :)

Skiaddicted · 13/09/2019 21:02

@huffthepuff I'm going backwards and forwards, my recovery last time was incredible and all went well etc so the ELCS is so very tempting. The only thing holding me back is the impact of a CS on my care of dc1, not being able to pick him up or put him in the car seat even. BUT i also know its possible that could be the case if i got for a vbac! I have no idea how to decide!

@november90 was that a national chain who offered you a bulk price?

november90 · 13/09/2019 21:39

@Skiaddicted I'm not sure she is... but I've seen someone else advertise bundles so I just thought I would ask! I think £120 is a really good price :) it's worth an ask if you are booking!

Huffthepuff · 13/09/2019 22:08

@Skiaddicted ah... you make a very good point... I've not even thought about recovery. My ds will be 2 and 3 months by then so he'll just have to be understanding 🥴 What will the age gap be between yours?

FirstTimeMama91 · 13/09/2019 22:13

For those who aren't in the fb group... got to meet baba today Smile measuring bang on 6+2/6+3 👌🏻 got to see the heartbeat too. So happy right now 🌈💕

Countrysidegirls · 13/09/2019 22:38

@Huffthepuff that’s interesting, will stick with the folic from now on then! Anybody want a massive box of pregnacare vitamins? 😂

againstalloddsocks · 13/09/2019 22:38

Hello! Had a BFP tonight, so I'm thinking a May 20th due date.

Looking forward to getting to know you all over the next few months Smile

I'm off to lie wide awake in bed as I let the news sink in!!

flossy12 · 13/09/2019 22:46

@november90 wow! That's so good!! We probably will! I've wanted kids since I was 16 and in 25 in a few months so been a long awaited little gem 😍😍 just can't wait to see that little peanut on the screen like @FirstTimeMama91 has because then I'll know it's all real and is actually happening!

Not that me and OH haven't talked to my belly since the day we got our BFP 😅 went and got a scrap book today to make a Pregnancy scrapbook for baba to read when he/she is older 💞

Sunshine8888 · 13/09/2019 23:04

Congrats to those with BFPs recently 🎉

So today has been tough. After not having many symptoms for so long today I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. Feeling starving to the point where I feel sick. Eat then feel sick again because food isn’t siting right. So tired that my head is muzzy and making me feel more sick. Boobs are so sore and now nipples have started hurting - if anything brushes them it’s horrendous. LMP 8+1 today, realistically about 7 weeks 🤢😴 going to try and get some sleep as being awake is not pleasant

Sunshine8888 · 13/09/2019 23:05

@againstalloddsocks I think we need vitamin d as well as folic acid x

flossy12 · 14/09/2019 00:34

@Sunshine8888 oh gosh! I hope you start feeling better soon!! One of the girls on the other threads said her friend didn't have any symptoms until 8 weeks then they all hit at once! 😬 try ginger or peppermint tea? That's supposed to help with the sickness

flossy12 · 14/09/2019 00:36

@againstalloddsocks I went to Morrisons today and picked up the pregnacare vitamins they were on offer £3 for 30 days worth so a steal really! Just thought by the time I buy them all separate and have to take 4/5 tablets might aswell buy them all already blended into 1 x

Woodlandwitch · 14/09/2019 08:02

@Skiaddicted I had CS last time and decided even before getting BFP that I would go for elective next time.

I got my BFP yesterday. Very excited

Coastaldreamer · 14/09/2019 09:12

The nausea is unreal this morning! And nipples are sore and boobs feeling heavy. Only on week 5 so can imagine how the rest of the first trimester is going to be!

Going to tel both the IL and parents at the end of the week before we go away, cannot wait to see their reactions 😄
