Hi everyone! I can't find a May 2020 group yet. Most of you don't even know you're expecting yet. I'm due May 1st and got my bfp on 9 dpo. So I'm only 3 weeks 3 days. I feel like I may be lonely in here for a little while.
Looking forward to being joined by other mummies to be :)
This is my 3rd pregnancy. 1st was 7 years ago and I have a 7 year old son. 2nd was 5 years ago which ended in a m/c feeling positive for my rainbow.

Hubby and I did the exciting thing today and planned my maternity leave from work😂 Priorities!

Scary though really losing a full wage when I will go to nil pay.

How long are people planning on having off? I would LOVE to take the year but not sure how realistic that will be. Xx

Skiaddicted · 14/09/2019 09:44

@huffthepuff it'll be about 18m so im not sure dc1 will understand 🙈

@woolandwitch what made you decide that out of interest? Im hoping to find something to make me decide one way or another

Woodlandwitch · 14/09/2019 10:24

@skiaddicted baby number one would have never managed to come naturally due to size. The labour didn’t progress past 3cm of the induction drip and I don’t want to risk it again.
I think I would be too scared if I planned to try vbac for it not to work out and risk another EMCS

YorkshirePud1 · 14/09/2019 10:26

Congratulations on everyone's BFPs. @Sunshine8888 I hope you start feeling better soon. I've (touch wood) been symptom free so far, apart from really sore boobs. It seems like the nausea etc is probably inevitable though so I'll enjoy this bit for as long as possible.

On vitamins - I'm only taking folic acid and vitamin D. Is there anything else that's highly recommended? Info on the internet's a minefield. I read some pregnacare reviews on Amazon about nausea and constipation which put me off. 😬

momo20 · 14/09/2019 11:04

I've been taking seven seas pregnancy vitamins and I've had no side effects. They're great!

Sunshine8888 · 14/09/2019 11:04

Thanks ladies, I do feel a bit better this morning. Except I woke up starving and then scoffed a doughnut?! Who eats a doughnut for breakfast 😂 Feels like a bad hangover without the fun part of drinking 😂

november90 · 14/09/2019 11:15

@YorkshirePud1 I've just picked up the seven seas pregnancy vitamins from Asda for £5! My friend it having fertility treatment and they recommended them as a brand for conception support so I thought I would give them a go! :)

november90 · 14/09/2019 12:31

Felt a few moments of sickness today 😬 think it was triggered by feeling so hungry and being desperate for a wee! But it did make me think... omg how will I cope with the sickness and a 2 year old 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'm in no way complaining, it just makes me feel so proud that I'm pregnant and he or she is (hopefully) growing! 💗

Caspianberg · 14/09/2019 17:52

Evening all.
Nausea still hitting here, no sickness yet. I feel like I can stomach certain things, but others I would bring up.
So have lived off a lot of marmite on toast this weekend, a few boiled eggs and some chicken broth soup.

rosina38 · 14/09/2019 18:04

Main symptom I have at 4 weeks is AF like cramps. They are pretty bad on and off throughout the day. No bleeding or spotting though 😬

YorkshirePud1 · 14/09/2019 19:29

@rosina38 same here. They are so similar to AF cramps that I went and bought 2 more tests today to make sure 😬

rosina38 · 14/09/2019 19:34

@YorkshirePud1 glad it's not just me.

Also feeling really tired and I've been very irritable today 😒 feeling dizzy at times too. The joys!!!

Coastaldreamer · 14/09/2019 19:35

@YorkshirePud1 @rosina38 same on the odd AF type cramps but think it's just our bodies adjusting!

Sunshine8888 · 14/09/2019 23:09

Is anyone else starving pretty much all the time? I feel like I’m constantly eating

AlmostAlwyn · 14/09/2019 23:30

Not yet (7 weeks as of tomorrow) but I was in my first pregnancy. Didn't have any nausea in the first trimester, I was just hungry all the time! I had to eat before bed or I'd wake up hungry in the night!

november90 · 15/09/2019 03:26

@Sunshine8888 not yet but that was exactly me when I was pregnant with my first! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Could you try some boiled sweets? Might help with the sickness and the hunger!

herewegoagain20 · 15/09/2019 08:54

Hi all, congrats on your BFPs!

Can I join? I got my BFP on Wednesday, I'm now 3+6 and due May 23rd/24th. So it's really early days. This is my 2nd, my DS is 2.5.

Just wondering what are you guys taking for pregnancy supplements- sorry I haven't read the entire thread yet, but I have a ton of Seven Seas Trying for a Baby left and they have folic acid, vit D, iron and vit B12 - so I think I'm ok to just keep taking those till they're gone? They're nice and small and easy to take!

herewegoagain20 · 15/09/2019 08:55

@Sunshine8888 yep me! I'm ravenous all the time. Luckily at the mo I'm in the mood for quite healthy stuff, but I know that'll soon go down the pan and I'll be eating all the cake!

Lu1u · 15/09/2019 09:22

@sunshine8888 yes to the hunger! Although the nausea has hit properly at 6+2 today so that might curtail my extravagant eating habits 😂

Also smells, strong smells like cleaning products and candles are setting my gagging off..

Coastaldreamer · 15/09/2019 10:11

Welcome to all the new BFPs 😁

Was having a little anxiety over the AF type cramps I'm having a few times a day so tested again on a cheapie - darkest line I've ever seen on one of those so my mind is at ease again!

5 weeks tomorrow - wooop!

Sunshine8888 · 15/09/2019 10:20

@Coastaldreamer I have AF type cramps on and off, think it’s just everything stretching.

I need to stop eating doughnuts for breakfast. I wish I was craving healthy food but unfortunately I’m just wanting anything stodgy and beige 😬

mollysmummy1970 · 15/09/2019 10:21

@sunshine8888 yes! I'm absolutley starving, trying to fight it as I'm diabetic and trying to keep my sugars under control, everytime I eat they spike massively even with the correct amount of insulin. I just want to eat tho as its the only time I dont feel sick!

I have my early scan first thing in the morning, so nervous!

Sunshine8888 · 15/09/2019 10:25

@mollysmummy1970 aww early scans are great! How far along do you think you are? I have my midwife app tomorrow so hopefully I’ll also get my scan date. Then I might book a second early scan to help pass the time until the 12 week scan!

november90 · 15/09/2019 11:26

Omg today I've woke up so ratty and tired! Everyone is annoying me... even myself! 🙈My boobs aren't soar anymore but they are ginormous! Feeling a bit questionable too... do I feel sick or am I starving? Mainly hungry! I took my little boy to Sunday school and I felt so light headed due to sudden hunger, I had to come home and have 4 chocolate biscuits and a handful of hero's 🙈

mollysmummy1970 · 15/09/2019 11:41

@sunshine8888 by my calculations I was 7 weeks yesterday.

Im so glad I'm not the only one that's so hungry!
