Hi everyone! I can't find a May 2020 group yet. Most of you don't even know you're expecting yet. I'm due May 1st and got my bfp on 9 dpo. So I'm only 3 weeks 3 days. I feel like I may be lonely in here for a little while.
Looking forward to being joined by other mummies to be :)
This is my 3rd pregnancy. 1st was 7 years ago and I have a 7 year old son. 2nd was 5 years ago which ended in a m/c feeling positive for my rainbow.

How are you all getting past the afternoon slump? Im trying not to eat my way to energy due to massive weight gains in last pregnancy

ChaoticKate · 09/09/2019 20:04

At the minute it’s more of an all day slump as my toddler doesn’t sleep and we’ve just had 48 hours of her being ill with probably 4 hours sleep total. I found last time that really early nights made all the difference. Also healthy eating and resisting the stodgy carbs helped a lot.

Schlobbob · 09/09/2019 21:08

Hi everyone, mind if I join?

Got my BFP on Saturday at 10DPO and have been peeing on sticks ever since, I just like watching the line get darker!

This will be DC4 (eeeep!) and have an EDD of 22nd May, another Spring baby!

I'm also not in the UK at the moment, I'm kind of excited about pregnancy care here (Europe) as it seems to be more frequent appointments and scans, I think a first scan is at 6 weeks which will help with any nerves!

Even though period isn't due until tomorrow I've been a lot more tired recently, bloating up like a balloon after eating and weird achey boobs

Take care everyone!

Skiaddicted · 10/09/2019 06:49

@chaotickate we are in the same boat with little sleep thanks to current dc

@Schlobbob I'll stop worry about having 2 dc and be incredibly impressed with you having DC4 Grin I'd love to be having a baby in Europe as the care seems to be immensly better on the whole!

FirstTimeMama91 · 10/09/2019 07:01

Got my 3+ this morning woohoo Smile

Welcome to the new bfps xx

MrsBee · 10/09/2019 08:27

@BlueberryPoppy123 May I ask what test you used to get a BFP 9dpo please?
We have been TTC for a long time and this is the first time I know I definitely ovulated (ovulation tests & egg white cervical mucus - sorry if TMI) and I have so many symptoms to suggest its happening - cramping, slight nausea, slightly sore boobs but I am currently only 9 dpo past ovulation so havent tested yet. I have a clear blue digital but reluctant to use the blooming expensive thing if it's too early! Thank you.
If I am pregnant I will be joining you all on the May2020 group, hence my post here. 💛 Thank you.

@MrsBee I know it’s really hard but I really would wait until after AF is due! There’s nothing worse than getting a faint line that you need a magnifying glass to see. Also because ladies test so early these days there’s more chance of having a chemical pregnancy that you wouldn’t even have known about it if you hadn’t tested early. While it’s so tempting to test early, I think it saves a lot of heartache to wait and test later, it’s worth it to see those strong lines. X

Moonstone12 · 10/09/2019 09:11

@MrsBee I used FRER to test early. However @Sunshine8888 is right. It is best to wait if you can. However I never can wait! I got my BFP with FMU at what I think was 9DPO. It was very faint. The next day was stronger and 4 days after that was super strong. (Yes I tested 3 times in one week 😂)

KittenMittens1 · 10/09/2019 11:50

Omg! So I went to the epu today as I had a bleed over the weekend, my due date is 6th May. I'm not as far as I thought 5 weeks & 6 days not 7 weeks.

Another surprise is........ Its TWINS!!!

Twins!!

Thanks everyone, I'm in shock! Complete and utter shock they said it was good I came in due to the bleed and said I probably bled due to the rapid amount my uterious is expanding.

I have no idea how to tell my husband!

@KittenMittens1 Wow! That's amazing news! Sorry, I have lost where you joined the thread and can't see you on the roll call - is this your first pregnancy?

KittenMittens1 · 10/09/2019 12:50

@TummyTurtle it was last week 😊 yeah it's my first pregnancy and I'm 25.

We'd stopped trying for a while as we'd been trying for just under a year and decided to focus on buying our first home before I knew it I realised I'd missed my period.
