Hi everyone! I can't find a May 2020 group yet. Most of you don't even know you're expecting yet. I'm due May 1st and got my bfp on 9 dpo. So I'm only 3 weeks 3 days. I feel like I may be lonely in here for a little while.
Looking forward to being joined by other mummies to be :)
This is my 3rd pregnancy. 1st was 7 years ago and I have a 7 year old son. 2nd was 5 years ago which ended in a m/c feeling positive for my rainbow.

Also - Nausea aside as I have very little of it, I wake up most mornings almost choking on like a momentary 'acid reflux' type taste in my throat - it's the only way I can describe it, anyone any ideas? Normal?

FirstTimeMama91 · 07/09/2019 10:10

Have woke up with a sore throat and runny nose Sad hopefully it's a good sign that baba is growing so I don't mind. Anyone any tips for helping the cold whilst pregnant?

Caspianberg · 07/09/2019 13:31

@FirstTimeMama91 - hot water with a spoon of honey and squeezed fresh lemon in, really helps with sore throat and tastes quite nice.

ChaoticKate · 07/09/2019 14:50

Hi ladies, could I join? I got a very surprising BFP this morning. I think due date is about the 16th of May. This will be my second child as I have an 18 month old daughter. We’ve only DTD once in about the past six months because I’m still breastfeeding and I share a bed with my toddler. I’m in a little bit of shock! I’m feeling a bit of nausea and very thirsty but ok apart from that. I’m rapidly approaching 37 so trying not to get too excited until I’m far enough along to feel safe.

mumblingpenguin · 07/09/2019 15:10

@ChaoticKate blimey that must have been a shock! I'm on my second period post baby. Or...I would have been! I did want a small gap😂

@TtcanotherG I know the feeling. I had two early mcs and it really takes the shine off things. I won't be taking anything for granted until 12 weeks at least!

Sunshine8888 · 07/09/2019 15:14

Hi ladies, please can I join? I was on the April thread but an early scan today puts my EDD back to 4 May. I did think I wasn’t haven’t many symptoms at 7+2 but looks like I ovulated late and am more like 5+5! It was so lovely so see a heartbeat 💗 as I’ve had a few bleeds in the last ten days. Will read back a bit to catch up on your journeys so far x

FirstTimeMama91 · 07/09/2019 15:21

Congratulations @Sunshine8888 @TtcanotherG and @ChaoticKate

Thanks @Caspianberg I had one earlier. Will deff make another one soon x

LA89 · 07/09/2019 16:24

Hi Guys,

Can I jump on board too please?

Got my BFP a couple of weeks ago and am 6+2 today so due first of may.

Baby was planned and will be the first for me and dp and we're super excited! Wishing you all the best xxx

november90 · 07/09/2019 17:28

Hi everyone! I got my bfp on Thursday when AF was due! I had a really long cycle as I ovulated at cd29!! So I think it makes me 6 weeks pregnant but more honestly it's about 4 weeks based on a Normal persons cycle.
I've not got much in the way of symptoms other then soar boobs and the odd wave of nausea which is great but also feeling a bit anxious about that! 😬
This will be my second, my first is 2.5 and he's the sweetest little boy! I'm absolutely over the moon, I just hope everything works out 😊

firsttimemum55 · 07/09/2019 17:52

Hi congrats to all the recent BFPs! Lovely to see the roll call has gotten so long. How is everyone feeling at the moment? I was worried as I had very few symptoms but I'm now getting mild nausea on and off throughout the day and my boobs are now massive.

I'm trying to start a good core and pelvic floor training programme as I've heard horror stories so looking into pregnancy Pilates and the like. Any 2nd, 3rd or plus mums with any advice to share for a total newbie to pregnant life?

Happy Saturday to you all! Xx

PrincessConsuela12 · 07/09/2019 18:00

Sorry @AlmostAlwyn I missed your message. I hope you managed to get back to sleep!

Welcome and congratulations to all the new ladies 💐

firsttimemum55 · 07/09/2019 18:01

@FirstTimeMama91 @Motherofpuppies also sorry I never replied about doggies!! I'm on so many of these find it hard to keep up.

I'm really looking forward to having a fur baby too but you're right two babies at once isn't really a great idea so we'll probably wait till human baby is a little older.

How long have you both had yours?

FirstTimeMama91 · 07/09/2019 18:04

Congratulations @LA89 and @november90SmileThanks

@firsttimemum55 I've had Millie for just over 2 years now. She's one spoilt pup so I'm a bit nervous about how she'll be with baby. But apparently cockapoos are brilliant with them so fx 🤞🏻

mumblingpenguin · 07/09/2019 18:15

@firsttimemum55 now I've done my test, I've suddenly become more tired and feeling nauseous but I'm pretty sure I've made all that up in my head!

@Sunshine8888 how wonderful to see the heartbeat so early!!! That's just ❤️ especially as the bleeds are so nerve wracking.

firsttimemum55 · 07/09/2019 18:27

@FirstTimeMama91 I'm sure she'll do great! Dogs are such naturally loving animals it will be lovely seeing them together. My sister in law has a 7year old dog (not sure the breed) and a nearly 1 year old and he is so protective of baby it's sooo adorable. When she was born he was practically standing guard at her crib 😭😭

firsttimemum55 · 07/09/2019 18:28

@mumblingpenguin haha I know the feeling but I'm sure it's all genuine! How far along are you?

mumblingpenguin · 07/09/2019 18:54

@firsttimemum55 I'm barely pregnant 😂 my period is due today but I just felt like maybe I might be so I tested last night. At 4am on a baby milky bottle shift 😂 in fairness we did have a definite TTC attempt!

I definitely think I've created the nausea in my head - I was fine yesterday! I have my suspicions that it's a touch of the nerves 😆

Pindlesandneedles · 07/09/2019 19:09

Congratulations to all the new joiners on your BFPs! It’s so exciting that there are so many of us.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced a tv really sharp abdominal pain. I wasn’t messing round with the kids earlier and it was like some pinged inside and I was literally bent over double with a sharp stabbing pain. Lasted a couple ignored minutes then slowly wore off. Feeling ok now, no bleeding or any bad cramping but just freaked me out a bit..?

AmIseeingRight · 07/09/2019 19:16

@november90 I remember you from the end of August bus - congratulation of your BFP, so happy for you Grin

This is so exciting 6wks today, every week feels like a milestone @ChaoticKate im almost 37 too so I know the feeling, but I'm trusting & believing that everything will be well. 2 weeks to my 8wk scan, I can't wait to see my little bean Smile

november90 · 07/09/2019 19:43

@AmIseeingRight swww thank you, I remember your name too! It's so nice to see familiar faces (well you know what I mean haha!) around!
How have you been doing so far? :)

Krissyxo · 07/09/2019 20:58

hiiiii:) might be posting too early an may regret this but - my last period was July 27.
Normally my cycles are 29-31 days. I'm currently on day 43, 11 days late.
I took a HPT @2days an got a super faint+ or a possible evap line.another one @5days which was negative :( I've been hoping it's just because my HCG levels were super low. I havnt tested for almost a week and still no sign of period. I have very mild cramps that come and go? Extremely sore nipples, and have had a lot of discharge lately and a stuffy nose randomly.I have 1 more regular test that I am doing this Tuesday morning. Which will be on my 14th day late.... hoping for a +.
I have 2 CB digitals but heard they need a high level of HCG to be +? So I might do one of those as well or save it for another week if my period doesn't come.
Sorry if I'm kind of ruining this post as I don't know yet😅 but I'm very hopeful and my period has never been this late, according to my app I would currently be 6 weeks!
I'll update on Tuesday with hopefully my BFP and a EDD!
