Hi everyone! I can't find a May 2020 group yet. Most of you don't even know you're expecting yet. I'm due May 1st and got my bfp on 9 dpo. So I'm only 3 weeks 3 days. I feel like I may be lonely in here for a little while.
Looking forward to being joined by other mummies to be :)
This is my 3rd pregnancy. 1st was 7 years ago and I have a 7 year old son. 2nd was 5 years ago which ended in a m/c feeling positive for my rainbow.

@AmIseeingRight Ah that's so fun! I love a good spreadsheet.

I have been feeling so sick & tired this week, I'm really hoping it doesn't turn to toilet hugging 😳

Anyone else feeling like the first few weeks are dragging? I found out so early on and my dates have been pushed back a few days that it seems 12 weeks is such a long time away. On a brighter note I have my booking in appointment on 30th September, I will be around 9 weeks so I'm hoping my letter for my scan will follow shortly after that 😊

LuckyA · 06/09/2019 15:02

Hi everyone, congratulations to those with recent BFPs Flowers

@AmISeeingRight love that spreadsheet!

The last 2 weeks are dragging for me. I have my booking appt on 8th Oct at 11 weeks, I thought it was a bit late but it was all they had. Got my 12 week scan appt on 16th oct through too. I've booked an early scan at 8 weeks as I dont think I could wait until 12 weeks to see if the baby was growing was ok

mininionsteve · 06/09/2019 15:20

Saw the dr, she wasn't concerned just said to go back if I had cramps with bleeding. She said that it's probably just stretching and to try not to worry.

So back to waiting for weeks 6 and 7 to be over 🤞

Huffthepuff · 06/09/2019 15:32

That's great news @mininionsteve you must feel better for hearing that!

PrincessConsuela12 · 06/09/2019 15:35

@mininionsteve Great news 😊

mininionsteve · 06/09/2019 15:42

I do feel a bit more relaxed just need to get through these weeks. Il feel better once we get to the first scan.

Huffthepuff · 06/09/2019 15:54

Yes of course. It's such a relief to get to that first scan.
I feel a bit better about things this afternoon as I'm absolutely shattered. Feels like a proper symptom. Could do with a nap 😴

Victoria315 · 06/09/2019 16:41

Thanks @FirstTimeMama91 and @AmIseeingRight for replying. I knew that I wasn’t guaranteed to get a 3+ result at exactly 5 weeks of testing but had my fingers crossed I would. At the moment, without a scan or a bump or even any symptoms, my hcg levels going up are my only indication that my pregnancy is progressing. I’m so nervous. I haven’t had any negative symptoms but I just can’t relax and assume everything will be ok. It’s a shame because it’s stopping me celebrating being pregnant which is something I’ve wanted for a few years. Roll on the first scan! Still 7 weeks to wait though :(

FirstTimeMama91 · 06/09/2019 17:03

That's good @mininionsteve

@Victoria315 would you not book a private scan for when you're 6 weeks? I have no patience lol

Victoria315 · 06/09/2019 17:07

@FirstTimeMama91 it’s so tempting to book a 6 week scan as I’d only have to wait a week. However, I’ve read that at 6 weeks they sometimes can’t detect a heartbeat yet so it’s better to go at 7 or 8 weeks.

Are you having an early scan?

FirstTimeMama91 · 06/09/2019 17:09

@Victoria315 yeah maybe go for 7/8 then. I've one next Friday in my EPU. Nerves are wrecked but can't wait 💕 no doubt I'll prob book another one for 8 weeks too

Victoria315 · 06/09/2019 17:11

@FirstTimeMama91
I’m glad I’m not the only one with no patience! 😂 My husband has so much more patience than me and seems to be so much more relaxed!
I might look into booking one for 8 weeks. So excited to see my little one!

FirstTimeMama91 · 06/09/2019 17:21

@Victoria315 lol I know mines is the same. He's trying. It to get too excited because of previous losses but then we can't help it too 😍👶🏻

AmIseeingRight · 06/09/2019 17:25

@Victoria315 I can understand the anxiety, my 5+6 today and only started feeling pregnant yesterday.

I know loads do people who book the 8 wks one, I'm also thinking of doing it especially as it's £45 at MotherCare. So if it will help you enjoy this life changing experience before you get to the 12wks then you should. It's worth it for 4 week of some peace

freyahan · 06/09/2019 17:51

@Victoria315 I'm going to book a private scan too for end of next week ill be 7-8 weeks then so should be able to see more. I agree though we get no scans or bloods or anything... I'm 6-7 weeks now and my CB still only says 2-3 but it hasn't moved up from 1-2

ellensim89 · 06/09/2019 20:12

Ladies, hello!

First time everything over here! I'm 29 - First pregnancy, first forum! Read through so far and still not getting the lingo Confused I'm sure it will all click eventually. Been trying just shy of a year, was 7 days late yesterday, took a CB digital last night at 10pm and voila Pregnant 1-2 weeks. We were convinced it would be Negative as this past cycle we decided to not use my MIA app and track my ovulation etc, didn't 'try' anywhere near as much as the previous 10 months. We joked that our 9pm round trip journey to get a test was a waste of time and fuel (except OH scored a kebab out of it lol WHICH he ended up not eating due to disbelief and excitement may I add)
We are still super shocked - I had symptoms that ALL pointed to my period coming, since read that cramping is fairly normal, although it's only gentle cramping. Boobs are freeking TENDER lol and I'm peeing like nobodies business. Soooooo due date is looking like around May 8th at this point, seriously varies as my cycle has been super all over the place the last 11 months (ranging from 27 to 38 days Hmm)
Feel like I need to talk to people! It's not been 24 hours yet and I'm going stir crazy already Grin
X

AryaKidding · 06/09/2019 21:12

Hi all, I’d like to join please. Smile

I’m 32 and this is my first baby, got a bfp on Monday at 11 dpo so think I’m 4 weeks today and due 15 may.

Never get ill but have the worst sore throat today, hoping this isn’t the start of being poorly the whole time.

Congratulations to all the other bfp’s!

FirstTimeMama91 · 06/09/2019 23:40

Congratulations @ellensim89 and @AryaKidding Smile welcome to the thread! X

mumblingpenguin · 07/09/2019 05:21

Congratulations ladies!!!

I'm joining the thread ❤️

Just had a BFP one day before my period is due. Pretty sure I ovulated on Aug 26/27 so looking at end of May baby. I got a bit overly fixed on due date last time and went two weeks over so not taking dates too seriously atm.

I had a baby fairly recently but wanted a small age gap so over the moon that I might be pregnant already (having had two mcs before DS).

@Midrog Agreed - I would prefer the group to be private as you've suggested...but I'll hang on for a while before I join anyway just so I can be a little more sure this teeny bean will stick.

@BlueberryPoppy123 I love that you date ordered the roll call 😂 in the morning I'll try and find the most complete list and add myself on!

I'm sooooo excited but planning to hold on a little bit to tell DH and family because I've got a couple of cycling events I'd like to do first 🙈 and I know my parents will be iffy about me doing that. I think I saw we have a couple of park runners/cyclists...I m not much of a runner but I managed to ride a fair way into my last pregnancy and I kept going to spin classes up to 39 weeks so please don't be disheartened that you will be out of action. I found last time up to 14/16 weeks was the worst and things got a lot better after that!

mumblingpenguin · 07/09/2019 05:24

And re scans post, I do like to have a couple of early scans before the 12 week one because it helps my sanity :) I would definitely wait as close to 8 weeks as you can get just in case there is inconsistency in your dates. I'll also being going for NIPT testing when the time is right, somewhere between 9-10 weeks. It's really really hard not to obsess over things in the early days 😬

Happy Saturday everyone! Insomnia has hit so I've spent the last hour or so overthinking. Question for you - has anyone had LEETZ treatment? Were you told you may have to have a stitch to make sure the cervix doesn't open prematurely? Has anyone had a successful full term pregnancy without needing one?

AlmostAlwyn · 07/09/2019 06:35

I don't know anything about LEETZ unfortunately, but I just wanted to say I'm awake too! waves
