Congrats happydays and welcome to the world little happy. Hope he is out of NiCU soon, can't wait to see a photo and find out name/weight!! Get lots of rest x

challengeyourreality · 15/08/2019 18:05

Congratulations @happydays00 I hope he's doing well. Will be thinking of you both

KnobJockey · 15/08/2019 18:18

Megan, my DD is a Friday 13th baby, it's always been a good day for us!

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/08/2019 18:27

Sorry to hear it is taking a while Karigan! Atleast you are on your way!

37 weeks today here.

Fortheloveofscience · 15/08/2019 18:35

Congratulations @happydays00!! Hope you get your little one back with you quickly and in the meantime manage to have a bit of a rest.

DustyDoorframes · 15/08/2019 18:57

Oh @happydays00 congratulations! Hopefully that babe will be out of NICU and in your arms in no time. 3litres!!!!!!! No wonder you were struggling!!!!!
@Karigan195 that all sounds exhausting. Come on that cervix! Glad you've a backup plan in place.
Two more babies by this time tomorrow!!

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/08/2019 19:01

Think i might have lost a bit of plug, no blood though. Obv this could mean nothing. Feel like i will be waddling with fanny daggers for atleast 2 weeks yet

Hsunshine · 15/08/2019 19:21

Anyone with previous children, has anyone ever done a ‘newborn photo session’? I only just started thinking about it and they all say to book after 20 week scan.... are they worth doing?

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/08/2019 19:27

Never done it sorry hsunshine

Stroan · 15/08/2019 19:27

@happydays00 huge congratulations Mama! And welcome to the world mini-happy! Hope you are reunited by now and enjoying all those wonderful newborn snuggles.

@karigan195 fingers crossed for a co-operative cervix tonight. Otherwise we're date buddies!

@hsunshine yes, and have the same photographer booked for this one. I'm very fussy about photos and knew the only way to be in some was to have a proper shoot. The pictures are wonderful. Not posed, no baby in a flowerpot (no offence if that's your thing!), fully natural in our own home. Half family shots and half sleepy baby shots. I actually can't wait to see our photographer again, she's lovely.

happydays00 · 15/08/2019 19:30

Haven't caught up on everything but @Karigan195 sorry to hear it's been a real slog for you!!

@Stroan - did you manage to get home for the night? Wishing you the very best of luck for tomorrow!

Baby Happy still has no name but weighed a very chunky 6lb 15 which I was surprised about as my DD was 7lb 2 at 39 weeks! This is the only picture I have without wires and feeding tubes so hope to have a better one soon!

Then doctors have said the x Ray has showed a lot of fluid on his lungs, but hopefully this will just evaporate naturally over the next couple of days. So good news really, as they were initially concerned there was a blockage or something and surgery would have been needed. I think that's ruled out now but will feel happier once I've seen the doctors and baby myself!

@happydays00 look at the gorgeous human you made! You've had such a hard slog, I hope you have a much easier recovery.

Yes, I'm home. Back in tomorrow at 11am

DustyDoorframes · 15/08/2019 19:39

Oh look at him @happydays00 !!!! He's such a bundle!!!!! V good news that no surgery needed!

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/08/2019 19:39

Omg happydays he is just lovely! I want one!

DustyDoorframes · 15/08/2019 19:42

Decaf yours is on order...

BimbleBamble · 15/08/2019 19:45

Congrats @happy he's a cutie! Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for you both x

Horehound · 15/08/2019 19:48

@happydays00 oh he's a wee cutie! Have you narrowed down names at all?

challengeyourreality · 15/08/2019 19:52

What a lovely little baby. That's how perfectly formed our babies inside our tummies are right now! Makes it so real.

boodles101 · 15/08/2019 20:03

AHH what a gorgeous boy happydays and a fantastic weight. Glad all is ok and no surgery needed.

Karigan195 · 15/08/2019 20:29

Awww he’s lovely Happy!

Think we are going to be due date buddies Stroan. Have you been given sexy white socks too 😂😂.

They just monitored again and contractions coming 4 every 10 mins. Average strength around 77 and still no progress apart from an unbelievably sore pelvis (arghhh)

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/08/2019 20:34

But dusty i have no patience! I need same day delivery!

Karigan195 · 15/08/2019 20:36

On a different note. Since I have been imprisoned in the maternity unit I had to send my mum to Aldi! She did well. We now have 6 reuseable nappies, two packs of liners, 2 packs of boosters and three sleep suit sets. The sleepy fox set is gorgeous and the nappies are £6 cheaper than normal- thank you mum!!!

Tefiti2 · 15/08/2019 20:36

Oh he is just lovely @happydays00 well done you!! It’s totally mind bending how fully and perfectly formed these little babies inside of us are isn’t it?!
Sorry things aren’t progressing @karigan95 but you can’t day you didn’t give it your best shot! Hoping for an early slot for your section in the morning!

Karigan195 · 15/08/2019 20:37

@IVEgottheDECAF. Ha ha I have no patience either. Karma is laughing right now 😂😂😂

boodles101 · 15/08/2019 20:40

Ooft karigan you're such a trooper. Although 4 in 10 sounds closer than before?! So moving in the right direction. At least you know baby will definitely be here by tomorrow morning.
