@BBell2 if I ever become a MIL I hope I don't become a dick.

@Stroan nope, no meds at minute. Thanks 👍 they're a joy aren't they. She's also a fan of saying to us "so and so was asking how you both were but I said I don't know as I never see them" yeah, ok then 🙄 eek, Friday, 2 sleeps (kind of!!)

@NotwhereIshouldbe medal deserved for holding your tongue! I find it so weird that the ones that should be the best support are often those making things difficult 🤷‍♀️ No advice re hospitals - struggling enough with my own limited choices -I'm drifting dh in to help sort through things at my next appointment.

Yay @boodles101 - Monday!! That's a good looking date too! Deffo get on with those tickets - don't they do a Wednesday one nowadays? Can't decide what would make me more impatient- having a date a few days away or waiting to go naturally?

Just rang dh for something and kicked off with "my waters have broken" he didn't find it funny!! To be fair he was just coming up to a roundabout and attempting to manoeuvre round it to turn back. Whoopsy! Won't do that again or I'll be the girl that cried wolf!

NotwhereIshouldbe · 14/08/2019 12:27

@kyles101 Hahaha! I think DH is anticipating every phone call from me to be “my waters broken! Come home!” 😂

@boodles101 Ahh so excited for you! Good luck, we will all be thinking of you! Probably a good idea to stick those lottery numbers on 😄

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 14/08/2019 12:34

@boodles101 woohoo! So pleased for you!

IVEgottheDECAF · 14/08/2019 12:36

Yay boodles! A few days and you get to sleep comfortably!

Horehound · 14/08/2019 12:37

I've remembered something my MIL said on her last visit 2 weeks ago. After we had my baby shower and everyone had filled in those advice cards I started to read them. My dad had written 4.5 hours for Labour time and I laughed and said "oh dear dad thinks I'm gona have a quick Labour! 4.5 hours!" but then I came to MILs and she'd written 2hrs and I laughed again and said "omg you think 2 hours!!" and she said "what's funny about that?" I said "well most people I know have laboured for over 24 hours. My cousin was 36 hours and best friend was 3 days!" MIL said "anyone who says things like that are lying. The actual Labour is a small amount of time and everything else doesn't hurt and isn't labour".
That really annoyed me! Basically unless your pushing/in active Labour that's only what counts..like nothing else beforehand counts as Labour? Weird!
I couldnt be arsed to argue but I'll deffo draw out just how long Labour is when it finally comes. Ill mention it every time :D

Horehound · 14/08/2019 12:38

@boodles101 Oh how exciting boodles!!

TheCraicDealer · 14/08/2019 12:42

@Horehound I'm due on 25 September, so still got six weeks to go. My last day is 20 September, but it's mostly desk/office based and I have the flexibility to work from home which I will do more of over the next few weeks.

Starting to wish I'd gone a week before but now work have made plans around the dates I gave them I don't really want to be messing about. I'll keep it under review though.

My leaking/let down is really starting to sting as well ffs. Sitting in the office pressing down on my boobs for relief like a 90's glamour model. This is the stuff they don't tell you about!

Hope everything is going well @Karigan195. Also delighted you got your date @boodles101! I like the symmetry of the date as well!

Horehound · 14/08/2019 12:46

@TheCraicDealer oh right yikes. I finished 4 weeks before due date and actually think I should have finished the week before it. I'm also office based. Hope you manage ok but it's good you can work from home.

boodles101 · 14/08/2019 13:18

thecraicdealer yes that's why I said that date originally cos my son is already 17.1.17 so it's worked out funny!!

TheCraicDealer · 14/08/2019 13:36

I love things like that! DTwin and I were born on 10/10, DH's birthday is 06/06 and our wedding anniversary is 09/09. I think this baby will break the streak though!

kyles101 · 14/08/2019 13:40

@Horehound please go for the week 😂😂😂

@TheCraicDealer 19/9/19 is a similar trend, that's what I wanted but not a possibility now.

IVEgottheDECAF · 14/08/2019 13:57

Omg i had some weird nesting urge and have been blitzing my double living room. I have broken my back. Shit. Do not move sofas while heavily pregnant people.

Horehound · 14/08/2019 13:59

Eek take it easy decaf! The last thing you want is a sore back :(

Horehound · 14/08/2019 14:00

@kyles101 haha yeh! Oof i could really wind her up with it lol

Moraxella · 14/08/2019 14:05

Mini-mox is 2.6kg and head down, facing back raring to go 👍🏼

IVEgottheDECAF · 14/08/2019 14:09

I have no idea what possessed me!

Lay on sofa now scared to get up because it will hurt Sad

Stroan · 14/08/2019 14:32

Ah @boodles101 that's brilliant! Hoorah for nice, sensible consultants. But it does make me so cross that we have to fight these battles. And brilliant date. DD is 11/11 but this one will.have to be content with 16/8. We have no family birthdays in August so at least he gets a whole month to himself.

@ivegotthedecaf no! You lie on sofas when you are ridiculously pregnant, you don't move them!

@BridgetJonesDaiquiri hope you get some good news, how is it going?

I am knackered today, my blood sugars are still crazily low despite the food here being terrible for GD (Toast or cereal for breakfast) and the steroids. But they brought me a new bed so I'm snatching some sleep here and there.

happydays00 · 14/08/2019 14:40

Ooh @TheCraicDealer we have some similar dates: my birthday is 06/06 and our anniversary is 09/09 too!

@Karigan195 amazing!!! How are you getting in? I hope you're busy having a baby right now.

@boodles101 delighted you have your date and so soon too! You're on the home straight.

I would love a nurse to help in the house for a week after birth - do they also help entertain other DC??

@Stroan how are you holding up? Was your DD ok without you last night? Am I right in thinking you are in again tonight?

Stroan · 14/08/2019 15:04

@happydays00 I'm ok. Emotional today, the signal in here is terrible so feel quite cut off. DD was ok last night, just a bit confused really - DH brought her in for dinner at the hospital restaurant and will do the same tonight. I'm to be home tomorrow for the night but the doctor this morning said they might just keep me in.

How are you doing? Any nice plans for your final night?

Dyra · 14/08/2019 15:11

Hurray for sensible consultants @boodles101! Monday is so close. Love the date.

Agreed with Stroan. Sofas are for lying on not for moving @IVEgottheDECAF! Spare the poor dust bunnies a little longer. Hope you get waited on hand and foot now.

Baby-Mox can stay in that position now. Sounds perfect.

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 14/08/2019 15:11

@stroan I'm an 11/11 baby too!

So I've just been diagnosed with Obstetric Cholestasis as my liver enzymes are worse than on Monday and bile acids are pretty high. I can at least go home now (to sit and itch!) but will have another growth scan next Wednesday and another consultant appointment to discuss when best to deliver bubs. Apparently I'll also need to have a liver scan Confused

Consultant I saw today said most OC ladies will have their babies 37-38 weeks depending on how they're doing. Can take piriton for the itching thank goodness and will need to take labetalol for the BP. Joys!

Need to get my arse in gear this weekend and wash, pack, organise etc!

Puglover88 · 14/08/2019 15:57

@boodles101 that’s great you’ve got your date! How exciting!! 😄

@IVEgottheDECAF that’s impressive moving a couch! I, on the other hand, got my DH to open the airing cupboard door for me as it’s super stiff and I didn’t feel like wrestling with it!

@BridgetJonesDaiquiri sorry to hear that but at least they know what it is and can monitor and treat you accordingly. I know nothing about OC, does this mean you’ll have to be induced?

Puglover88 · 14/08/2019 15:58

@Stroan not too long at all for you now, hope you’re holding up ok!

boodles101 · 14/08/2019 16:03

So much happening over the next few days!
Sorry to hear about the OC bridgetjonesdaquiri hope the itching isn't to bad for you and the consultant can come up with a plan to get things rolling.

Decaf stop and rest woman!!

Stroan I can totally get the emotions with your DD. Think I'm going to be a mess on Sunday being the last day alone with DS!

kyles101 · 14/08/2019 16:06

@Puglover88 I'm more on your level than @IVEgottheDECAF 😂

Today I've not been particularly productive... hoovered 18,000 spiders from around the house, also some of the floors, 2 loads of washing, ate lunch... erm, that's about it... whoopsy! Oh, hang on I did last nights washing up that I was too lazy to do last night. And ate a Keto lemon but not drizzled cake. Yep, that about covers it!
