We seem to have had some good news in recent days - the positive vibes are working. Long may it continue!

VG - twins - that's quality news. Scary, but quality nonetheless, especially being identical.

I'm liking the music. Hadn't heard / heard of either of those songs. Now feeling v out of touch. That's what comes of listening exclusively to Radio 4 or Kerrang I suppose.

I've finally had a date for my scan, and blood tests etc, and it's next week! I'm a bit surprised it's so early as I could be just 10 weeks then, so won't be able to treat it as the end of the big mc worry time. Still, I could postpone it, but I won't!

DP and I have decided on the minimal tests, ignorance is bliss approach, so won't be coughing up the £185 they charge for nuchal fold scans round here. We too would have to revisit that issue if it turns out we're getting two for the price of one.

Right, must try and go back to sleep.....

Thanks Merry. Came downstairs to find dh had already got the Cherry Ghost cd for me, the sun is shining and ds was still asleep! All in all, a lovely start to the day .

I have just got back from the scan and everything looks fine - so relieved! Got a great picture too

They re-dated for 2 days later so due date is now 8 March, making me 11+5 today... think i might wait till Tuesday to tell work!

My MS totally gone, trying not be concerned that of course I dont' feel pregnant any more!! the enormous boobs and growing tummy should be signal enough. Of for a long weekend today so will be back on next week, until then good luck everyone, and fingers crossed for happy news all round.

Morning! Just had a scan at 8 weeks and 5 days and DH and I saw a heartbeat!

I've been all over the place over the past few days. There was a tiny bit of brown blood and my symptoms subsided so i naturally thought the worst and spent most of Tuesday in floods of tears.

So I'm taking each day as it comes and looking after myself - it's all I can do .

Best wishes to everyone on this thread and that there are lots more happy milestones to announce.

hurray for all the happy news. feeling v jealous of those of you who have passed the morning sickness phase...looking forward to getting there!

In this part of london I was offered a nuchal scan only at 11 weeks (sept 11th). I'm assuming this doubles as a dating scan? Also, no idea when/how/if I meet midwives. It's a bit scary being given the nuchal and no alternative, but I hadn't realised they charge in most places.

anybody else going to westminster and chelsea hospital?

Happy Birthday WMMC!

I had a bit of a scary start to the morning - was on the M4 going to work and aat a busy junction moved into the middle lane so cars could get on safely. Some car came on at the junction and tried to move straight into the middle lane without even looking - fortunately I spotted him. I couldn't move over as there was a car on the right, so I put my foot down and just managed to get clear before he got into my lane - he almost hit my rear wheel! By this stage I was going 80mph to get clear of him!!! I was so shocked and all I could think was "I'm pregnant, don't hit me!!!".

At least I saw him, and at least I'm all in one piece, but I was a bit shaken when I got to work. Fortunately I'm one of those people for whom a cup of tea solves everything

Hope everyone is having good days. I think the idea of meeting up after we've all had scans would be great - that way we can swap photos I'm having my scan on 6th Sept and I'm one of the people due later in March - imagine by mid Sept that most people will have had their scans so perhaps we can set a date for then?

e14mum, Is there a Patisserie Valerie in Spitalfields? How I wish you had not said that! That must be in the new bit. My midwife is going to be so unhappy with me!!! I think we have to go into town as there will be people coming from all over. There's one in Old Compton Street but it's a bit cramped. May be alright at the mo but come Christmas (or in my case next week) we will need a touch more room!

Glad you're ok HQ, but I bet it was a bit of a heart stopping moment for you.

My due date has changed since the first doctors appointment. Whay don't we have a separate thread with these stats, and everyone can update their own stats as and when they find things out like new due date, and flavours. The list can than be converted to show when we actually have the babies. I would start it but I'm not sure who's list is more up-to-date.

That's a good idea timmy. Can I also say on the list my DD is down as a DS, something she would be very unhappy about. I like it in date order as well, much easier to read. Glad you're ok HolidaysQueen, sounds scary.

Agree about Patisserie Valerie being a bit cramped. My other suggestion would be Pauls in Cov Garden and we should be able to book a table. Alternatively we could go to a big Starbucks like the one half way down the Embankment, but I don't think much of their cakes.

Oooh Pauls in Covent Garden sounds great - their fruit tarts are yummy and full of vitamins for our babies as well
