Ooohhh in a couple of hours I have my 'fought for' doctors appointment and I'm a bit nervous...its not even a scan or anything but I don't know what he's going to say and I don't know if I'm going to have to be all tough again .
Also, I have loads of other things I need to discuss after being away so long...I have a knee that hurts and cracks after a climbing accident 4 months ago and my throat hurts. I don't know if I should bring it all up in one visit, will he get confused?

nice to see Flossie's positive vibes have caught on.

I'm in London myself at the mo. Should be back at the end of september sometime, so could make a meet if it's around then. It's so gorgeous everywhere other than London at the moment, I can't believe I'm stuck here.

I feel absolutely horrendous today. Still the same old pattern - a good day or two of feeling almost normal, get all excited about the end of MS, then feel awful a day or so later.

Also, I prob won't have a chance to do this as am at work on a training computer, but can we start another new thread? I've been missing out on all the updates this week because this is no longer a 'teeny tiny thread'

tallmum - no you don't need to worry about wireless. It's just radio waves, so unless radios are bad for pregnant ladies I can't imagine there is a problem.

Agree about Patisserie Valerie being a bit cramped. My other suggestion would be Pauls in Cov Garden and we should be able to book a table. Alternatively we could go to a big Starbucks like the one half way down the Embankment, but I don't think much of their cakes.

Glad you're ok HQ, but I bet it was a bit of a heart stopping moment for you.

My due date has changed since the first doctors appointment. Whay don't we have a separate thread with these stats, and everyone can update their own stats as and when they find things out like new due date, and flavours. The list can than be converted to show when we actually have the babies. I would start it but I'm not sure who's list is more up-to-date.

e14mum, Is there a Patisserie Valerie in Spitalfields? How I wish you had not said that! That must be in the new bit. My midwife is going to be so unhappy with me!!! I think we have to go into town as there will be people coming from all over. There's one in Old Compton Street but it's a bit cramped. May be alright at the mo but come Christmas (or in my case next week) we will need a touch more room!

Happy Birthday WMMC!

I had a bit of a scary start to the morning - was on the M4 going to work and aat a busy junction moved into the middle lane so cars could get on safely. Some car came on at the junction and tried to move straight into the middle lane without even looking - fortunately I spotted him. I couldn't move over as there was a car on the right, so I put my foot down and just managed to get clear before he got into my lane - he almost hit my rear wheel! By this stage I was going 80mph to get clear of him!!! I was so shocked and all I could think was "I'm pregnant, don't hit me!!!".

At least I saw him, and at least I'm all in one piece, but I was a bit shaken when I got to work. Fortunately I'm one of those people for whom a cup of tea solves everything

Hope everyone is having good days. I think the idea of meeting up after we've all had scans would be great - that way we can swap photos I'm having my scan on 6th Sept and I'm one of the people due later in March - imagine by mid Sept that most people will have had their scans so perhaps we can set a date for then?

hurray for all the happy news. feeling v jealous of those of you who have passed the morning sickness phase...looking forward to getting there!

In this part of london I was offered a nuchal scan only at 11 weeks (sept 11th). I'm assuming this doubles as a dating scan? Also, no idea when/how/if I meet midwives. It's a bit scary being given the nuchal and no alternative, but I hadn't realised they charge in most places.

Morning! Just had a scan at 8 weeks and 5 days and DH and I saw a heartbeat!

I've been all over the place over the past few days. There was a tiny bit of brown blood and my symptoms subsided so i naturally thought the worst and spent most of Tuesday in floods of tears.

So I'm taking each day as it comes and looking after myself - it's all I can do .

Best wishes to everyone on this thread and that there are lots more happy milestones to announce.
