Ha ha, I was telling DH how nice a catheter would be at 3am this morning.

Thankfully, needing to wee doesn't wake me up. Being hot wakes me up and then I need to wee. Sad

@Puglover88
I have those too, and 2 nursing nighties. I have packed them now though but very tempted to get them out again!

Puglover88 · 04/08/2019 13:51

@Megan2018 I’m just contemplating whether I can leave the house in them as they actually look more like comfy trousers and a top rather than jammies!

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/08/2019 14:09

I have harem pants DP says look like pjs. I leave the house in them. I give no fucks!

Puglover88 · 04/08/2019 14:32

@IVEgottheDECAF I’m gonna do it!

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/08/2019 14:35

A lot of my maternity tops even the bigger ones are getting too short, especially now baby has dropped so much. My 6 year old keeps pointing this out on a daily basis. Sad

kyles101 · 04/08/2019 16:29

Ha ha, oh there's nothing more depressing than weeing, leaving the toilet and realising that you need to go again!

Went to a country show today, and cheated - had a small ice cream, wild boar burger and a banana milkshake... I thought with all the walking and the fact that I actually tested when I got home - 2 hours after consuming the yummies that I would be ok... nope, 8. That's 4 high readings in as many days... I think they'll insist on medication....

Whisky2014 · 04/08/2019 17:31

I pee a lot during the day but only need to once during the night, if that.

I had a lovely day yesterday at my party. My mum went to lots of effort. We played games, pass the parcel etc and she'd bought some lovely prizes for everyone.
Nice M&s food and cakes etc. It was great and really fun!
Relaxing day today.
In-laws were up too this weekend and left a few hours ago..im really not up to having visitors staying over. They are going to come up again in sep with 2 other relatives and I'm dreading it because my husband will be at work. At least they are staying elsewhere though but still just can't be arsed to entertain whilst having boob out breastfeeding with his dad and another male around. Ho hum

Whisky2014 · 04/08/2019 17:32

@kyles101 you are in scotland aren't you? You werent at Glamis were you?

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/08/2019 17:37

Glad the party went well whiskey! I am not a hostess with the mostest EVER. I hate people in my space at the best of times never mind when my body has just been through a major trauma!

boodles101 · 04/08/2019 18:23

I'm feeling a bit weird today. Went to a BBQ at my mums to celebrate my brother's engagement. My feet and legs have swollen up and I can feel the blood pulsating. We came home and I fell asleep but I'm so uncomfortable that I can only sleep for short bursts. I woke up really irritable and just feel strange. Hard to describe. DH keeps wanting to faff around me and 'help' but I just want to be left alone. Really looking forward to my first day off work tomorrow, DS is going to nursery and I have zero that I need to do to hopefully will feel a bit better then.

kyles101 · 04/08/2019 18:35

Aw, that sounds like a lovely day @Whisky2014 Lincolnshire for me, not Scotland!

Hmm, @boodles101 sounds odd, were you on your feet all day? I've just had to have a nap, no swelling though...

Only 4 1/2 days left in the office! I'm sure I'll be bored a week after I finish but right now I can't wait!!

Whisky2014 · 04/08/2019 18:43

@boodles101 it does sound like you are knackered. Have a bed day tomorrow!

Oh so I was just a little off then @kyles101!
I'm sure the 4.5 days will fly by.

I have slept loads recently and I'm so glad to be off now. Got the midwife coming round tomorrow for my 36 week appointment and for her to scope out the house for my homebirth.

boodles101 · 04/08/2019 18:47

kyles no I literally sat in the garden all day whilst DS played with his uncles! My husband said he did notice my swollen feet this morning, so might be left over from yesterdays spa trip, if that's even a thing.

DustyDoorframes · 04/08/2019 18:52

When do you next have midwife appointment @boodles101? If it's not for a few days I'd ring. If you have spots on front of your eyes, or a headache that drinking water and paracetamol won't shift, I'd ring now.

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/08/2019 19:03

I agree with dusty boodles Are risks of pre eclampsia etc any higher for twins?

kyles101 · 04/08/2019 19:18

@boodles101 that can actually be a thing post spa depending on what you have. Even pre pregnancy where I go advices plenty of water and believe it or not rest the evening after certain treatments including a lot of the massages. After my preggo massage she said that I did have some fluid around my ankles, not enough to worry about but that I should sit with my feet elevated for the evening... er ok - dh lads me a bell 😂

Ha ha, @Whisky2014 according to my nieces anywhere north of the m25 is Scotland so you're on the same page as them! Is that one a good show?

boodles101 · 04/08/2019 19:22

dusty decaf yes twice as likely to get PE but I don't think it's anything other than just swelling at the moment. I probably didn't drink enough water yesterday, it was roasting in the spa. No headache or spots but will ring if anything changes.

boodles101 · 04/08/2019 19:24

How are you doing happydays? You still in hospital or have they let you go? Any explanation for the symptoms?

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/08/2019 19:28

Gosh twice as likely! Good that your keeping an eye on it

I left my house for the first time in nearly a week today, walked far too far and now my pelvis is so sore

I asked the mw last week at what point could i NOT take codeine anymore. She said since one of my dc was born at 38 weeks i need to stop by 36. Thats like 3 or 4 days depending how you count it. Crap.

happydays00 · 04/08/2019 20:25

@boodles101 I was allowed home today but what you've described is actually quite similar to me when I went in on Friday. My pulse was literally racing, awful headache, swollen feet and legs, irritability and generally just not feeling right... how is your vision? I felt constantly like someone had woken me from a sleep by turning on a bright light.

My blood pressure has levelled out a bit (fluctuated in hospital from too low to too high) and my heart rate has finally dropped below 100. My vision has returned to normal too so apart from this pain under my ribs I'm feeling ok. I assume the pain is from the bloody fluid but it is causing me actual pain now, especially when I have a contraction.

They don't really have a concrete answer for my symptoms but wouldn't let me leave yesterday so ended up with constant monitoring over 48 hours. All very bizarre but now very happy to be home!

@IVEgottheDECAF hope all the walking hasn't made the baby drop even lower - sounds like this one will definitely be an August baby?!

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/08/2019 20:35

I have got a nice case of fanny daggers ongoing! Curious to see how 'engaged' baby will be at my next appointment in a week given all the "second+ babies tend not to engage until labour or dip in and out of the pelvis"

boodles101 · 04/08/2019 20:37

Glad you are home and ok happydays my vision is fine. It's literally just my feet and legs. My blood pressure is always spot on, doesn't really fluctuate. Think I'm just exhausted and dehydrated and things are getting tougher now.

I think babies are going to start making an appearance very soon! Wonder who will be next!

Fortheloveofscience · 04/08/2019 20:47

Really pleased you’ve been released happydays but sorry to hear you’re still in pain.

boodles that sounds really uncomfortable, good that you’re able to rest tomorrow and keep an eye on it.

I’ve overdone it this weekend, painted the ceiling in the front room (3 coats Angry), changed a light fitting, built all the ikea nursery furniture, dump run to dispose of ridiculous amounts of cardboard, walked the dogs for an hour each day and trimmed my horses feet this afternoon.

Didn’t manage to paint the coving, house is still a tip and I’m in London for the next 2 days but I’m in agony when I move so just sat on the sofa.
