Got my section date through (at 40+6) as they don't want to induce me. Looks like I have a pre-section appointment the day before. Do I need DH to come for that? I'm just wondering what that's all about. I don't what him wasting a day paternity leave if I can go on my own and it's just a chat.

Oh I definitely want pate on some nice crusty bread! It's the only thing I've missed! Oh and an ice cold glass of Pinot Grigio.

Shall I make a new thread? Not sure I know how to add the link but I'll try!

@Puglover88 yes, mine does that too, I called my MW about it and she said it could be a cough or a sneeze.

Don't know what I will have has my first meal but definitely planning sushi in the first week and lots of unpasturised cheese.

Started batch cooking tonight, planning to make double most nights now and just freeze the second portion.

Also got DH morivated to help with the nesting so got lots of heavy lifting done today.

Tomorrow going to look at another pram on way to SILs birthday party. I really hope it's as well maintained as it seems to be from the photos. I love buying second hand but it's a real lottery. My dream purchase right now is an artipoppe sling - if anyone knows a good second hand site for that please, please direct me!

Does anyone else’s bump just suddenly jolt out of nowhere like their baby has just had some sort of weird spasm?!

@Stroan I like the sound of your mum!
Holiday recovery well underway- we literally all lay in a heap for most of yesterday- didn't even unpack! DP took the kids to the cinema in the afternoon, which was about the limit of activity we could collectively muster. He's brilliant, he's already doing way more than his share, and he quite often sends me to bed if I'm struggling a bit. But that does mean we are both knackered all the time!

Now I'm back it's to-do list time, at home and work. Feels like there is a lot still to prepare for, and no excuses now...

Thanks @Dyra I assumed that would be the case. I'm sure I'll find out on Thursday.

My Mum brought me pate and fresh baguette to hospital last time! This time I've requested pineapple upside down cake.

GD fasting wise they can put you on a glucose drip and monitor sugars. But most likely they will just change the order of the list on the day so you would go first. It's a rare day when we go in original list order.

So excited for you all. Babies really soon!

The first thing I'm having when I get home is pate on toast.

@boodles101 It seems so unfair that you are having to wait so long when there's two in there. I really hope the nice consultant is better this week.

@happydays00 hopefully you won't be waiting too long, you have a good enough reason for baby to be born so might be ahead of some of the other ladies. Mine is at 11am as others are booked, not sure how that will work for fasting. I might need a 3am snack!

How old is your DD? Mine is so excited and I think she will be wonderful with her brother but she's also used to being really busy so a new pace might be strange.

Aww @DustyDoorframes how lovely! How is the post-holiday recovery going? I was struggling with maternity clothes a few weeks ago, ended up permanently in leggings. Although my jeans now fit again as I've lost about a stone. Too hot for jeans though!

Eek @knobjockey that's quite a bit bigger. They do tend to overestimate though. Do you feel like this one is a lot bigger.

@ivegotthedecaf hope "d"p bucks his ideas up so you can have a relaxing weekend. As relaxing as four kids and an annoying partner can be....

Fruit, I wish, a small apple after a meal is ok most of the time! I dream of mangoes and nectarines and banana milkshakes!

I've been having some spasm type things in my lower spine the last couple of mornings... like a pulsing pain, lasts maybe 20 seconds then goes... any ideas? I wonder if it's all the laying on my hips, think my back has had enough!

First meal pizza sounds fab @Stroan ... I don't know what mine will be... maybe an Indian or same with the pizza... can't think about it yet though or I'll cry again coz I can't have it - a couple of weeks ago I broke down to dh coz I really really wanted a kitkat, he thought I was a crazy person!!

It must be such a strange mix of emotions for everyone going from 1 to 2, I'd actually like a similar gap @Stroan

36 weeks today and now starting to feel it! Waddling has well and truly commenced!!

@boodles101 losing weight doesn't sound great! You are going to need those reserves once the twins are here! Fingers crossed that helps make your case for getting them out SOON.

@Stroan that sounds like a lovely weekend plan!
DD (3) looked me straight in the eye the other day and said "Mum, it's not your baby it's OUR baby" which I'm taking as a good sign for her adjusting anyway. Totally agree with Decaf that the older one/s suddenly look absolutely huge!
@happydays00 The nil by mouth factor hadn't occurred to me once when people have been discussing planning c sections! I'd be as nervous as you about that, but hopefully it will just be an odd couple of hours to get through and will be forgotten once the babe is in your arms.

My bump is so low and heavy and big, I can't imagine I'll make it to the end of September. My first two came pretty much on time (DC2 came on her due date!). But I already feel like I did in the last couple of weeks of the other two pregnancies- and I'm growing out of all the clothes that saw me through to the end before (I think because the bump is just so low!). I really can't be doing with getting a whole new wardrobe at this stage!!!!

@happydays00 both of mine were planned sections and I was first on theatre list both time, one born at 9.45 and one 9.50. They tend to put planned ones first on list unless there's loss of major emergencies so I wouldn't worry too much.

happydays I've been given the date of the 30th which is 20 whole days away 😔 I've got a scan on Monday and then see consultant again on Wednesday. I'm going to demand to see the nice consultant, and beg him to move it forward a week. I will break down and cry if they say no. My iron is low and I'm actually losing weight now, not sure if that's cos the twins aren't growing or if they are taking all my reserves.

Growth scan yesterday told us that there's some accelerated growth going on, from the 79th centile to the 90th in 3 weeks, and put the baby at just over 6lb- very scary to me as my DD was born weighing 6lb3.5 at 37 weeks, I'm 34+4 today!

We also discovered baby is breech. This probably explains why I've been finding it so hard to breathe- its head is literally tucked in my ribs, with its feet in its face. Think it may also have turned back to back this morning, as my belly button is an innie again! Need to get bouncing on my ball, problem is most exercises or walking leave me hurting with the PGP.

Those of you with toddlers, once baby is here your current dc will seem like a GIANT! Honestly everything about them will seem huge.

I feel like crap. 'D'P is not being very D unless D = Dickhead.

Oh @boodles101 I hope you can get some rest, somehow before the babies come. Is it this week they give you a date? Sorry if I keep asking you the same question!

@Moraxella sorry, I don't have GD, just had to have the GTT to see if that was causing the polyhydramnios and that's the longest I'd gone without food when pregnant.

@stroan - sounds a lovely day that you have planned. Not surprised you feel emotional but it's just the start of a new chapter and I am sure she will love her new sibling. I'm so excited to see how my DD grows and reacts to her baby brother (less excited about the inevitable tantrums / negative acting up though but tra la la)

Have all the others with GD started planning their "first" meal too? I can't imagine how excited you all are. Gosh, I think I'm becoming a bit obsessed with food 😳
