Couldn't see that anyone had started another thread after we filled up the last one, so hopefully I haven't made a double...

Haha that's how I feel too! I'm hoping he won't be too big when he's born

Tmnmpa1 · 16/10/2019 07:54

I finish work at the end of next week and it still seems so far away!
Baby is head down and very low, and measuring in at a solid 6lbs 4oz already with 4 weeks still to grow!

Zarara · 16/10/2019 08:02

I’m 37 weeks today so full term, been so uncomfortable so looking forward to baby arriving. Baby is breech so have to attend a breech clinic on Monday to look at options. When is everyone going to set up the crib, pram etc

Mintypea5 · 16/10/2019 08:08

Final growth scan this morning. I'm already massive (thanks for commenting everyone ever!) so terrified they're predicting a 10lb+ baby. My others were all 7lb something. Still got 4ish weeks to go

Sciatica is really painful now but only 3 days left at work (thank God)

Kaff83 · 16/10/2019 09:14

I'd try not to panic about the measurements - their margins for error are massive. I met two women at a baby group with my first - we all had first borns who were 8lb 6. I'd measured in the middle and at a late scan told i'd have a 50th centile baby, one had measured big and was told her baby would be massive and one measured small and was told her baby would be small. Random! I also measured averagely and was told i'd have an average sized baby based on a late scan second time and she was nearly 9lb.

@Zarara my eldest turned at 37+2 so time yet! This one was breech at the last check but I think it's turned round now (am 36+2). Not sure how I feel about that - had decided having a planned section at 39 weeks as opposed to likely having a multi day labour at 41 weeks (based on the other two) wouldn't have been so bad!! Would have at least meant I could plan my childcare for the bigger two.

Good morning ladies,

I was on here at the start of my pregnancy but left after having quite a hard time. Just joining back now as finally starting to be able to enjoy the pregnancy (as much as you can at this point)

Can't believe how quickly the time has gone. 4weeks left and feeling like first time baby is coming early. Has anyone else experienced early first time babies?

PyjamasForever · 16/10/2019 18:45

I got given my section date today. 3 weeks to go!! It's exciting that soon we'll be seeing some babies on this thread!

@PyjamasForever that's soooo exciting!!

Zarara · 17/10/2019 08:35

@PyjamasForever exciting! sorry don’t know if I missed it earlier is it because you’ve had one previously or is baby breech?

I was thinking that some November babies will surely start arriving soon.

How is everyone getting on with movements? My baby is more of a twister and turner and I’m guessing as she’s getting bigger there is less room for that type of movement. I can feel baby still but the movements have started to change but I can’t quite describe it. Do you think I should go in to be checked? I have a scan on Monday so could just wait until then.

PyjamasForever · 17/10/2019 08:49

@Zarara previous section, I'm not suitable for an induction and I'm growing a giant gestational diabetes baby... so elective section at 39 weeks seemed the best idea. Just hoping they won't move it forward to 38 weeks after my next appointment because I've got so much to do the week before.

I think if you have any worries about movement at all you should go in. Chances are everything will be fine, but it's better to feel a bit daft for going in than for something bad to happen and to be left wondering if you could have prevented that.

@Zarara I am finding movements so hard to monitor at this stage because like you say, they change. My little one is more pushing outwards and making my belly move in slower motions more than actually kicking. Sometimes he can be having a party in there and unless I am looking at my belly I wouldn't know because I can't feel anything!

Anyone else's baba having hiccups on a daily basis? Mine sometimes is twice a day. Is this normal??

IoMoon · 17/10/2019 20:13

Mine is having hiccups at least once a day!

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 17/10/2019 21:15

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind if I join in at this late stage? I am on a December thread as I estimated I was due at the start of December but my date was changed to Nov 27th. Add that to the fact that I'm likely to be induced or have a cesarian as I'm growing a giant baby and I reckon this thread might be more accurate.
So exciting to read that some of you are due so soon, it's a nice reminder that the end is in sight as I am having the worst pain with SPD at the moment.

Nic45 · 18/10/2019 07:07

Well wish me luck I am off for my induction today 😳 at 37 weeks because of GD and low PAPPA. This has come around so fast!! XXXX

LittleAndOften · 18/10/2019 08:37

@Nic45 I am 37 weeks today too. Best of luck, I hope it all goes smoothly xxxx

PyjamasForever · 18/10/2019 11:20

Good luck today @Nic45!! Hope everything goes smoothly for you. First baby of the thread!!

Hi guys,
I'm having really strong Braxton Hicks so struggling to know what's Braxton and what's baby moving. Any advice? As I'm getting worried baby isn't moving much but it might be and I just keep getting the 2 muddled up!

PyjamasForever · 18/10/2019 12:50

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver SPD is the pits, but the end is now in sight! Probably only a month or so to go!

@sleepyquest I think if you're unsure it's worth being checked out. I sometimes get confused by the two, but they do tell you to get checked out if movements reduce or change... and if that's not what you would normally feel then it's a change.

Thanks @PyjamasForever I just feel like I'm wasting everyone's time though and I'm at work and you know how it is!

Unsureursula · 18/10/2019 15:21

@Nic45 best of luck today!! Thinking of you!
@Sleepyquest completely know what you mean re work but remember you’re only a number! Look after you and baby!

PyjamasForever · 18/10/2019 15:48

@sleepyquest better to feel like a time waster and check everything is okay rather than discovering there's a problem when it's too late.

Nothing happening!! Baby is now breach too 🙈 waiting to see the doctors now 🤞

PyjamasForever · 18/10/2019 17:53

@Nic45 oh no, any suggestion about what they're going to do? Presumably they won't continue inducing you while you're breech?

OP posts:
Nic45 · 18/10/2019 21:03

Just had gas and air and baby turned!! That was not nice but hopefully all good now!!

PyjamasForever · 18/10/2019 21:08

I think I've just spotted a post from you on the gestational diabetes UK Facebook group @Nic45? If that is you, I'm so impressed that they found something you could eat. Fingers crossed things go a bit better now baby is pointing the right way!!
