I am a little nervous about starting this thread as I was previously on the March 2008 thread but m/c'd. But I got my bfp this morning and although still faint it is clearly there.

Anyone else coming to nervously join me?

oh the joy

I told all my friends and family but not work yet. might wait a bit I think.

no, we havent told anybody yet, its our little secret! worried about negative comments because this is my third. probably tell my parents v soon, and the outlaws . not sure about friends, yet.

im quite crampy too, its normal.

PippiLangstrump · 07/08/2007 11:57

scorpio why would people give negative comment to a third pregnancy?

scorpio1 · 07/08/2007 12:00

because a few that know im ttc have said things like 'oh havent you got enough' 'god youre nuts, why do you want that many' and things like that. im really chuffed though and im not going to let it get to me. another mum at school is pg for third time and another mum said to her 'if you will keep having babies' 3 is hardly extreme is it?!

Peachy · 07/08/2007 12:03

Scorpio i am expecting no 4 and 2 of mine are SN- I am expecting an ONSLAUGHT 9although my Mum said sod them LOL, she's a forthright woman my mother!)

scorpio1 · 07/08/2007 12:06

i agree with the sod them thing too! its up to us! thanks for reassurance-still in shock tbh!

modsaluk · 07/08/2007 12:09

Really silly question but what does BFP stand for ?

scorpio1 · 07/08/2007 12:10

Big Fat Postive on a pg test

modsaluk · 07/08/2007 12:12

lol thank you pmsl

PippiLangstrump · 07/08/2007 12:17

I struggle to understand why people even think that it's a bad idea to have another child let alone saying out loud to the person involved!!!
few people would dare making a comment on a new dress and yet they feel obliged to speak their mind in re to having a baby!!

ups I guess I don't need another test to confirm I am pregnant!

scorpio1 · 07/08/2007 12:19

i know, i feel truly lucky to be able to get pg and have a third baby . some people!

i tested again today and another darker ++ so i guess its true!

PippiLangstrump · 07/08/2007 12:28

so you are like me scorpio, still not quite believeing it. i am tempted to do another one but scared it won't be positive this time... madness. I'll leave it untill tomorrow.

All this serves me right for being so blaze' about it the first time around!

Gumbo · 07/08/2007 13:02

Hi All

Hoping to join you. My EDD is 1 April. Very excited when I stumbled across this discussion.

Lorisparkle: I was just finishing bf my 12 month old dd when conceived. However for that reason have had no sore breasts at all - just completely dried up - hope not TIM. This is normally such a key sign and I am otherwise feeling fine, just a bit more tired. Without normal symptoms not sure what to think. Had tiniest spotting on Sunday night so GP is arranging for an early scan at 8 weeks.

Hope everyone else is going well. Great to feel I am not alone at the moment.

Sara74 · 07/08/2007 13:20

I'm still having trouble believing it too. I keep poking my boobs to see if they're still sore - only when noone else is around though . gp has booked me for a scan in 2 weeks, fingers crossed.

Daftmoo · 07/08/2007 17:30

NoMoreHighHeels · 07/08/2007 17:50

Blimey, I don't log on for 24 hours and I miss all these new people! So pleased our list is getting longer and we all seem to be a bit anxious - only natural I guess. Wish we could wake up and be at least 12 weeks!

We have a good mix of first timers, going for a second or more (and a few losses as well my EDD for the one I lost was next Monday) - anyway we can all help each other along in the next few months.

As for people's reactions when telling them, I'm a bit worried that I will get comments as I have 1 DS who is 7 and the whole age gap thing will be brought up. Not come up with a witty one-liner yet that doesn't involve 'what the chuff has it to do with you' (or similar!) Any ideas?

As for symptoms, not really feeling sick but feeeling a bit tired and been dozing off in front of the TV at 9pm!

V1KK1M · 07/08/2007 17:52

Hi,

I took another test this morning - I don't know why I still can't really believe it with the cramps and the sicknes. The line came up so quickly I couldn't help but laugh at myself.

I also understand about prodding the boobs. It's funny cause I wince when they hurt but yet I find it strangly reassuring!

The sickness feeling is getting worse by the day but I'm trying to keep to a heathly diet in the hope that it will help. I have put on 3lb already with that great excuse that my metabolism is working harder so I can eat more - I don't think it's working that hard at all(lol).
