I am a little nervous about starting this thread as I was previously on the March 2008 thread but m/c'd. But I got my bfp this morning and although still faint it is clearly there.

Anyone else coming to nervously join me?

OK, I have just had my 8 week scan and saw the heartbeat!!!! :-)

She dated me as 7weeks and again was happy with the size. They want me to go back in 2 weeks to check all is still OK - she didn't want to do an internal scan but still quite small to see on the external scan. Doesn't bother me, means I get another pic for the LO's portfolio .

The next scan is on our 1st wedding anniversary so we can have the scan before we go off for our romantic weekend .

Good luck to other ladies having scans today

xx

Springflower, so sorry to hear your news.

Dolly1, I hope the hospital reassure you tomorrow.

ToastAddict · 31/08/2007 12:24

Fantastic news, Mrs T!

Really pleased for you!!! x

MrsThreads · 31/08/2007 12:26

Hi Dolly

Aaahhh, yes it could have been the gestational sac coming to think of it. She didn't stipulate at the time.

Good luck at the hospital and they have already said, you have seen the heartbeat so focus on that til your scan.

Let us know how you are getting on - sure you and beanie will be fine.

Once you have confirmation all is OK, I would make sure you don't see that doc again under any circumstances. His attitude is poor.

Big hugs for you sweetie and chin up

dolly1 · 31/08/2007 12:27

That's great MrsThreads! Good for you. If you have a heartbeat at 8w and all measurements normal then I'm sure your risk of probs/mc is minimal. What a relief that must be for you.

Hurray MrsT! Lovely news.
DP gave me an engagement ring yesterday! Very excited have been looking at it all morning. Wedding has been booked for a few weeks, just hadn't got round to getting a ring and, shallow creature that I am, am really very pleased to have one

MrsThreads · 31/08/2007 13:39

Congratulations - really pleased for you.
Exciting times ahead for you.

elkiedee · 31/08/2007 14:10

Franny, did they give you no info about support available to you? I'm sorry to hear your news.

TheMaskedPoster · 31/08/2007 14:16

sorry to hear this franny
take care
xx

Speaking of dating scans and sizes etc, I was looking at my printout and it says:

'Morphology gestational sac
Yolk sac seen
Embryo present
CRL 9mm
Heartbeat present'

and that dated me at 6+5 (I am 9 weeks today)

what does CRL stand for?

dolly1 · 31/08/2007 14:17

Oh Franny that is terrible. I'm so sorry. Please don't give up hope though. You got pregnant which means you will do again if you want to. Thinking of you
x

dolly1 · 31/08/2007 14:19

I think CRL means crown to rump length. 9mm sounds good - how many weeks and days are you?

dolly1 · 31/08/2007 14:20

sorry just realise you put your dates on there. Sounds really good.

ToastAddict · 31/08/2007 14:21

I think CRL is Crown-Rump length
Head to bum to most!

TheMaskedPoster · 31/08/2007 14:22

dolly, that was when I was 6+5

I am 9 weeks exactly today going by the scan dates ( I thought I was further along as my last bleed was a mc so I wasn't sure when I ovulated etc)

TheMaskedPoster · 31/08/2007 14:23

oh , and thanks for the CRL translation

smcg · 31/08/2007 14:30

Congratulations EllieG

chipmonkey · 31/08/2007 15:31

Franny, so sorry to hear your bad news!

V1KK1M · 31/08/2007 16:51

Hi All,

And I'm sorry for those of you that have had bad news since i last logged on

TMP - I was just looking at my paperwork frim my scan and my CRL = 6mm which they dated me at 6 weeks and 6 days?!?! After seeing your mine seams on the small side?!?!

I'm feeling poop today and phoned in sick at work. Keep having niggly pains (sure it is just stretching), a threatening headache and a bad back.

I'm also getting nervous about my scan on Sunday - It's probably all in my head but I'm worried as I am only getting up twice in the middle of the night (instead of the normal 5 times) and I'm sure my boobs don't hurt as much - Until I get to 12 weeks I don't think I'll actually be able to relax.

MrsThreads · 31/08/2007 17:20

Generally, I am only going to the loo once in the night and that is at 5am when H gets up for work. I used to wake starving at 5am but that has eased off now though may start again this weekend. My boobs were really sore last Saturday but gone back to my nips being sensitive now thank god.

Relax and enjoy the scan sweetie - sure all will be fine.

Hope you feel better soon sweetie

Daftmoo · 31/08/2007 20:30

Hey All,

I'm so sorry to the ladies who've posted sad news since I last signed in (((((hugs)))))

I'm 8+1 today and feeling really tired and sicky, my belly is sticking out soooo much, I'm not sure how long I can tell people it's just pies

I'm desperate to have a scan to believe I'm pregnant....I'm very jealous of those of you who've had them already. Hopefully I'll have mine within the next two weeks

I hope you're all well

x
