I am a little nervous about starting this thread as I was previously on the March 2008 thread but m/c'd. But I got my bfp this morning and although still faint it is clearly there.

Anyone else coming to nervously join me?

I'm expecting my 4th as well, bw! I have 3 boys already and am 38!
Peachy already has 3 boys as well.

babywhiting · 30/08/2007 10:17

i have 2 boys and a girl....!!!

Peachy · 30/08/2007 10:28

Yep already have 3 (although somewhat younger than chippy lol.... OK, maybe just a little bit - 34)

I am worrying like everyone else, but I've got to get used to it- DS3 didn't regress and lose his language until he was almost 3, so I can't see me relaxing any time before then!

chipmonkey · 30/08/2007 10:28

Babywhiting I am sure I will end up with 4 boys after this! I should be May as well but will deffo have the baby early as it will be my 4th CS and my obstretician brings elective CS's in at 39 weeks. Having said that, I had ds3 at 32 weeks so you never know!

Peachy · 30/08/2007 10:29

Yes pretty sure this will be a boy too LOL, Dht hinks its a girl but ir eckon thats wishful thinking.

chipmonkey · 30/08/2007 10:29

Really Peachy? 3? That must have been dreadful for you!

babywhiting · 30/08/2007 10:31

i've got no idea what i'm having i have no thoughts on it either i kinda had a feeling with the other 3!!!

chipmonkey · 30/08/2007 10:31

I am not allowing myself to think of girls' names or look at pink baby clothes in the shops! I just walk past them and say to myself, "It ain't happening, chip!"
Really just want someone for ds3 to play with. There's a 6 year gap between him and ds2 and he gets a bit left out!

chipmonkey · 30/08/2007 10:32

Of course I could have just arranged playdates! Probably didn't have to get pregnant, when you think of it!

Peachy · 30/08/2007 10:34

Dh was pmsl as the only girls outfir I liked in mothercare was a blue one

3 is the maximum age for a regression to be caused by ASD (first regression), ds3 was just unlucky. He's a darling little soul though- one of those kids that brightens everyones day. DS2 (NT) is a complete grimmer LOL

franny22 · 30/08/2007 10:56

Hi guys I'm new to this site today ut having read some of your stories i feel we are all sharing the same rollercoaster of emotions.

Im not sure what all the abbreviations (why is that such a long word?) mean but i think im getting it. is dd/ds darling daughter/son, dp - darling partner etc.

anyway - i am 34 and preg no. 3. have two boys already ages 10 n 7. im worried cos have been bleeding this time which never happened before. Had emergency scan last friday which showed me to be 5+ weeks (thot i was nearer 8 but not sure of dates). anyway i have to return for another scan tomorrow. bleeding has now stopped - it was more like a period, only showing blood when i wiped, and no big clots. last weeks scan (external) showed a sac and a fetal pole but no heartbeat cos too small.

im really worried that nothing will show up tomorrow. my boobs have stopped hurting as well which im not taking as a good sign - anyone have anyideas?.

midwife on tuesday told me not to worry(impossible) and that my edd was around 22 april.

hope you all are keeping well and i will also include you in my prayers . tc and thanks for listening xxx

chipmonkey · 30/08/2007 11:24

Hi Franny, welcome to MN, it's extremely addictive! I came on looking for a cure for colic over 2 years ago and have hardly left the PC since!
I had bleeding for almost my entire pregnancy on ds3. They never found a cause for the early bleeding. I had bleeding in the 3rd trimester as well due to placenta praevia but this was nothing to do with the early bleeding. There's no point in saying try not to worry, I know from my own experience that that's impossible but bleeding in early pg is apparently quite common. Also symptoms wax and wane, I find. I puked yesterday, at 4 days plus 1 but feel fine today. Am getting impressive boobs though!

chipmonkey · 30/08/2007 11:26

franny, if you click on acronym list at the top of the page you get a list of abbreviations. Took me a while to figure it out when I started. I thought everyone had given their son/daughter a name beginning with d!

franny22 · 30/08/2007 11:32

thanks for that chipmonkey - that list made me chuckle. thanks for the information about your prev pregs too. i am trying not to worry but tomorrow will tell if there is a heartbeat or not. watch this space.

kiskidee · 30/08/2007 11:51

I figured out you were MILDoloresUmbridge by some of the things you said. Ah, the pump. Mine is quietly boxed away.

chipmonkey · 30/08/2007 12:03

I had only just put mine away! We got an attic extension and now actually have somewhere to put stuff!
Have to go to work now.
Franny very best of luck for tomorrow, keep us posted!

motherbird · 30/08/2007 14:27

Er ... I did mean to say that my dd is 2.5 years old - not 2.5 months - that's the pregnancy brain kicking in already. Spent Tues throwing up but things have calmed down a bit and now I just feel vile

MrsThreads · 30/08/2007 14:28

Hi all

Welcome to the newbies - I am new too

I have just come out of the docs with a prescription for Amoxicillin as I have a gum infection I have been reassured that this is a safe antibiotic and the alternative is much worse but still feel guilty for taking.

On a nicer note I have my 8 week scan tomorrow at EPAU and feel reassured now I have read the miscarriage rate is much lower after 8 weeks. One more day to go and I am in a safer zone. Makes my sore mouth easier to handle.

Hope you are all OK - try and stay positive even through your worries. I have had a tiny bit of spotting though nothing when I wipe (sorry tmi) but no pains to go with it. My period would be due tomorrow and apparently that can cause a bit of spotting in the 1st trimester.

Natx 7+6

EllieG · 30/08/2007 14:53

Best of luck for scan tomorrow MrsThreads! Keep us posted.

Welcome franny x

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 30/08/2007 15:03

Am i the only one who is getting cramps! the seem to get worse as the day goes on yesterday afternoon they were so bad I was convinced i was going to MC. I dont understand why I am getting these I keep telling myself its ligaments but why would I get them now and not with my DS also the p[ain seems to come from my belly button across my belly to the left round my back then down into my bum what is that all about!!!

Sorry for the moan guys x

ToastAddict · 30/08/2007 15:23

Hi TLSM, I'm getting a few cramps every now and then - nothing really strong but I do get a bit panicky! I'm also having a little bit of bleeding occasionally - I know the combination of cramping and bleeding doesn't sound too good, but the lovely lady at EPAC said not to worry. Or maybe she said that to stop me dashing back there avery 5 minutes?

This is my first, so I don't feel well placed to say this, but a lot of my friends seem to have found their second pregnancies different from the first, so I don't think you should be too alarmed if you have different symptoms from before.

Keeping fingers crossed for all of us

dolly1 · 30/08/2007 15:31

Good luck Mrs Threads. Can't wait to get to 8 weeks as you're right, the chance of mc drops dramatically.

To those with cramps - I know how you feel. I have the odd twinge now and again but had a day a few weeks ago when period was due that they were really painful.
So worrying but I think we have to take the 'there is nothing we can do but keep postitive' attitude.
My midwife was right when she said 'what will be will be' but I am struggling with the fact that pretty much all of this is outwith my control. Yes we can take our vits and keep off the booze, but ultimately nature will do what it wants.
For anyone who is really stressed or worried (like I've been) I would really recommend accupucture - really calmed me down.
Roll on 12 weeks when we can all chill out a bit hopefully!

EllieG · 30/08/2007 15:31

I'm worrying that my cramps have pretty much stopped! Am sure it is a bad sign to have almost no symptoms.
I think we all worry whatever is happening don't we? The mantra for this on the PG after MC thread is (until you know any better) 'safe and well, safe and well, safe and well.'
As far as we know all our LO's are - so am trying to hang on to that!

Kirbo · 30/08/2007 15:44

I'm still getting bad cramps (no spotting/bleeding tho). My Doctor has been very understanding (she is 5 months pregnant herself with her first) and has told me that she can't find anything to worry about, and to only start worrying when necessary. Roll on 5 weeks to the first scan!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 30/08/2007 15:49

Kirbo thats the same as me no bleeding just pain
