I did it (slightly adjusted the wording - is it OK?)!!! Now all we've got to do is a link from the old one to the new one - I'll leave that to somebody a bit more competent!

By the way, I just go laalalaalalaaa when you guys talk about epidurals/pain relief etc. I really didn't enjoy having one when I had DS but I had to as they had put me on a drip and all sorts and I had lots of complications. Ended up with even more severe migraines for years afterwards too. Didn't have one with DD1 and much preferred the whole experience. If I can get away with it this time, I'm going to try and avoid having one (obviously can't predict how things will go!). Gas & Air me up all the way!!!

MrsFish, your dh sounds like mine, we cried with laughter in France when my map reading was so poor I sent us round the same roundabout about 15 times. I'm not sure I wouldn't have resorted to hitting him if he'd had a go. You gotta laugh aintcha??? (oops, my sarf London roots are showing!!)

MrsMar · 30/07/2007 18:19

Sorry, wasn't bragging (well just a teeny bit!) He's still rubbish at other things, I've been asking him to take our suitcases from our holiday up to the loft for over a week now, no joy yet! I've stubbed my toe countless times now.

MrsFish · 30/07/2007 18:23

Yup, mine is great in a lot of respects... in others...well lets just say its not all a bed of roses

thebigSea · 30/07/2007 18:24

after telling me I didn't need a double pushchair [money] he went and bought a tropical fish tank.

GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRR

MrsMar · 30/07/2007 18:29

ooops! Now that's not playing fair!

thebigSea · 30/07/2007 18:31

see?

hmm?

have already bought one from friend.

MrsFish · 30/07/2007 18:34

Oooh, bad husband that's not on!

thebigSea · 30/07/2007 18:42

[soaking up the sympathy]

he's already got one....

any way how are you both, it looks like we're the only ones here at the moment which is nice and peaceful for the after tea/ before bed slot.

MrsFish · 30/07/2007 18:46

I'm ok apart from a cold which has tired me out more than usual, which is saying something, but the sun is out which is a good thing

thebigSea · 30/07/2007 18:48

it'll hopefully help it clear up, I had a cold that started around 32/33 weeks with dd and had an awful cough that lingered til after she was born, but that was winter so I guess yours will go away soon.

thebigSea · 30/07/2007 18:51

right, I'm off to put monsters to bed, If I'm still awake after I'll be back, if not, maybe I'll see you tomorrow.

MrsFish · 30/07/2007 18:53

I'm off to put lo to bed too

See you soon x

PurpleLostPrincess · 30/07/2007 18:54

Oh MrsFish, that sounds exactly like the sort of thing I would do, even before I got pg!! So glad it hasn't caused a rift between you and DH! Mine is usually very understanding and we have a laugh about all sorts of things but he is winding me up at the moment. He keeps promising to put the computer up in the bedroom (not ideal but needs must) but he has put it off over and over again. Also, I pick him up from work and usually have to pop in a few places to get tea or drop something off etc. and he always wants to go straight home. I know he has been at work all day but when I was working and he was at home, all I wanted to do was get home and it never happened - funny how it doesn't work both ways!!!??? Grrr, sorry, rant over!!

Hope the cold clears up soon by the way! xx

Glad you're home and all seems well with lo lou - how scary! Lets all pray this one stays in full term and that it was just a scare!

I suppose I should feed the mob! Catchya later!

Oh, by the way - MrsMar, do you find you're more puffed up at night-time? I've noticed when I wake in the night (every 2 hours atm!) that my hands are really sore where they're so puffed up! Just wondered if you'd had the same?

Evening ladies. Mrs F, what a story! I'm so glad you were a week early, not a week late. That would have been disasterous. Your dh sounds lovely. I know if that had happened to me, my dh would take the piss out of me for at least a decade. Sounds like there are some other sweet dh's out there. Mind you I wouldn't be impressed with the fish tank either BigSea. Glad you still got your buggy though. We have 2 fish tanks in our living room (2 big ones). They're nothing to do with me, they are his. Problem is the fish all died months ago, and he hasn't cleaned them out/done a water change for probably about 18 months now. It looks rank, and I think its beginning to smell a bit. I just wish he'd sort the bloody things out. Still I mustn't grumble, he cut the grass yesterday (probably because his dad was here and didn't want to let on that I usually have to do it). I'm just trying not to be a bit narked that he didn't use the grass box on the mower, which means I have to go rake it all up now. Arrrggghhh men!

Lou, hope you're managing to get some rest after all that drama. Hopefully everything will settle for a few weeks now.

I managed to sit through Shrek the Third the other day. We took ds1 for an end of term treat. Also took ds2 for his 1st visit to the cinema (he's 2). The seats were ok, but ds2 wanted to sit on me most of the time. I miss the days when I could watch more than a pg!

Looby, your post about nookie made me smile. Dh and I have hardly been talking for weeks, never mind shagging. He's even sleeping on the settee. But I keep sensing some sexual tension between us, like something is going to happen, even if we don't resolve our differences! We're so stubborn though, neither of us is making the first move!

Mrs M, I waited months for a load of stuff to go up into the loft. Me and ds1 ended up doing it a few weeks ago. (Yeah, I know I shouldn't be going up ladders, ds1 was a star and did a lot of the hard work). Happy birthday for yesterday (is that the right day?), I quite liked being 37, it still sounds mid 30's doesn't it? I had a problem with turning 38 though (what I am now), because that sounds so very nearly 40. Gulp.

Flippin eck, I've just read this back and realised what a moany old cow I sound. I'll keep it light next time.

MrsMar · 30/07/2007 20:00

Hello there, sorry I disappeared off, I'm at work and had stuff to do, grrrr!

Thanks for birthday wishes Kinki - I'm getting scarily close to 40. Dh may be a star on some things, but he's a pain in the arse at the moment cos his birthday is 10 days after mine and he's crowing cos he's still 36. Bastard!!!

I'm very tempted to get up that ladder myself, in fact on my day off on wednesday I'm going to go up there and take the case up. He'll have a massive go at me I know, "you shouldn't be up ladders, you're pregnant!" but our hall is tiny and they're really in the way. If he doesn't want me up a ladder, he should have done it sooner! Grrr!

PLP - I don't notice particularly that my feet and hands are more puffed up in the evening, but I do notice my feet are really hot in the evening. I usually plunge them in to half a bath of cold water to cool them down and I honestly expect to see steam coming off them! They throb a bit when I'm in bed too cos they're so hot!

I hope the children went to bed nice and quietly thebigsea!

thebigSea · 30/07/2007 21:15

I get hot hands and feet too, such a relief to hold them under the cold tap. I also love ice cold water too at the moment.
Please don't go into the loft, no matter how tempting, PLEASE PLEASE. AH Kinki, men and their fish tanks indeed. I keep taking the p out of dp and his hobby but he still sits and stares at them for hours on end.
The monsters 2 and 3 went to bed very nicely thank you, but monster 1 decided to throw a strop that it was too early for him and that he wasn't going to go/

For an hour.

I had intended for the two of them to watch a dvd in bed, but I wasn't given the chance to mention this until after the strop was gone, and I am ashamed to admt it bbut i found it rather enjoyable to tell him that he had blwon it. His face said it all as he realised that acting like a knob had blown his chances.
[cue evil cackling as I went downstairs]

Vicx · 30/07/2007 23:29

Hello All,

Am new to the site and thebigsea directed me this way as due 15th sept.

It's my 3rd preg. DD1 is 2+9 months and DD2 has just turned 1 year.

Hope you don't mind me gatecrashing at this late stage!
Vx

MrsFish · 31/07/2007 07:31

Vicx - good morning and welcome

kinki · 31/07/2007 10:12

Hi Vicx, welcome. Never too late to join.

MrsMar · 31/07/2007 10:58

Hi Vicx... welcome.

Glad the monsters went to bed ok.... in the end thebigsea. I'm going to be a terrible mother, I'm such a softie, I can never discipline children. My sister does that sort of thing when her dd misbehaves, I can't bear watching her little face crumble, but she's got to learn..... I'm going to have such spoilt children!!

Is it really such a bad idea to go up to the loft? the cases are empty and so really light, and the ladder is pretty secure. I've been up there a couple of times while pregnant and not come a cropper. Ooooooh I can't bear seeing those cases in the hallway!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

MrsFish · 31/07/2007 11:47

You have to be direct with men... just say to your hubby...

'Will you out those damn cases in the loft NOW please, before I do myself an injury doing it myself'.

Because the only answer to that would be 'No' then he would seem to be very unreasonable

Job done, they just need to be told straight, they don't do hints.

loobybump · 31/07/2007 11:50

Morning all!

Kinki - Sexual tension is not good but personally id advise you not to have nookie if your baby moves alot as it feels so wrong!! iv decided to dust of the rampant rabbit lol!

kinki · 31/07/2007 12:43

Looby, thankfully, when I lay down, the baby tends to settle down. So me and baby are sorted, it's just dh that is missing! Wasn't so sure about getting the rabbit out tbh, but I really don't know why I think that.
