Congrats :)

Random question but what are the white lines on scans does anyone know?! Like the outline of the skull. Is it literally just that?

I have my 20 week scan on Wednesday and I’m so excited. For the first time I’m not nervous about my scan as I’ve felt him kicking away all week!

Can’t believe we’re all about halfway through!

I’ve just had the results from the NIPT and quad screen, was delighted to learn I am having a healthy baby girl. I guess the next thing for me is the anatomy scan which will be next month. After all of the worry about possibilities with my age and medical history knowing the overwhelming odds are for a healthy baby is such a relief and I finally feel comfortable thinking about the baby in actual real terms. As for my on the fence DH, he has started buying things for the nursery...so I no longer feel like I have no one to be excited with, which is nice.

My consultant says we will be scheduling a c section probably at 37 weeks due to the risk of spontaneous labour which means we will hopefully be home and recovering long before Christmas.

We had our 20 week scan yesterday, there's definitely an awkward one in there. She wouldn't stay still, the sonographer had to move the bed on a slant and then I had to go for a walk around the hospital so she could check her heart and stomach as she couldn't get the proper measurements. At our hospital it's £5 per picture and the baby was moving that much that she gave us a free picture because she refused to let us pay for ones so bad haha!

I had my 20 week scan yesterday too! So exciting that our babies are now all half cooked!

I’m suffering with bad backache at the moment. I think it’s because I can’t get comfy at night :(

Hi all, mind if I join you? I’m due on 10 December and am expecting a girl. I’ve been avoiding planning too much as I’ve been designated high risk (first pregnancy, aged 40, high BMI and high blood pressure), but as every week goes by it starts to become real! Looking forward to my 20 week scan next week. I had my first consultant appointment the other day and I can’t say it’s eased my mind.. a lot of talk of injections, anaesthesia and intubation!

@badfurday I had my whooping cough vaccine at about 16 weeks, and yah my arm hurt quite a bit for the first day or two! But a little bit of pain is defo worth it if it keeps my little girl safe!

Hey guys!

Hope you’re all doing ok?

Anyone have a scan this week? Mines on Thursday, I’ll be 20+ 4 😬. Can’t quite believe it.

Had some new symptoms this past week... been feeling quite off balance, think it’s been because of the heat but will keep an eye on it.

Roll on Thursday.. can’t wait to see my little
man again xx

How's everyone doing? I'm now 19 weeks today, symptoms still here though. Nausea and extreme tiredness all the time Sad No sign of going away!
My stomach also popped at 17 weeks, all of a sudden woke up with a full on baby bump! Shock I'm struggling to get used to it tbh! Anyone else sick of people commenting on their size already? How big/not big you are? Getting on my nerves.. I'm not a "glowy" pregnant person, so most things are getting on my nerves lol!!

@Dec19baby- Hey, how are you feeling?
I’m 20+ 5 today, had my scan yesterday, all went well although he wouldn’t move for all measurements so had to go for a walk and come back again ha ha. Luckily in that time he had done a 180!
I’ve also just had my whooping cough vaccination, i don’t mind needles at all but found it really hurt!!!
Have you bought any bits yet? Xx

@Kate3150 we have our scan on Monday so fingers crossed! Baby wasn't in right position last time even after me moving around so hopefully it plays ball this time!
Still nauseous and tired unfortunately.
We've bought a good bit now while we have money. Nursery painted, cot, Moses basket and furniture got. Enough clothes for first month or so, got loads of bundles off eBay for cheap, nearly brand new! Currently trying to look up car seats and prams. It's like a minefield ConfusedSad no idea how to know what's best!!

@Dec19baby- OMG!!!! You've done so well buying all that and being so organised. I’ve done..... nothing 😩. I’ve started looking at prams online but just don’t know where to start. I think I need to look at some but there’s not many places around me that sells big stuff like that. I find with a pram colour is dominating decision for me which I know is not very practical ha ha.
Do you already know what your having? X

It's just that we won't be able to save from now till the baby comes and after, coz of other bill commitments which need paid off before we try and remortgage next year, so I'm getting everything I can second hand. All the cot and furniture is second hand off eBay and it was from next for an absolute bargain! So trying to get things like that as and when we see them!

No we're not finding out, I don't want to know, and also our hospital board don't tell you so we'd have to pay for another scan to find out, which I'm not bothered about, so a nice surprise it'll be!

@badfurday I'm now 24 +2 weeks and I had to buy a pregnancy pillow for bed. After dinner time I'm really really big and uncomfortable and so going to bed I'm not enjoying! The pillow does help I think but I'm still not that comfortable, dreading what I'll be like coming up to 30 weeks! Confused

@badfurday I’m 26+2 and have been struggling to sleep comfortably for a while now! It takes me forever to get comfortable and then I still toss and turn all through the night. 😫 doesn’t help that I had my whooping cough jab yesterday so my left arm is sore to lie on now too!

I think I need to invest in a pregnancy pillow, even if it only helps a little it’ll be worth it x

Been a while since I checked in on here, I’m currently 26+3 and can’t remember the last time I slept through the night! I seem to wake up every couple of hours with cramp in my legs / ankle or to go to the toilet. I’m currently sleeping with a normal pillow positioned between my knees with my bump resting on it.

Everyone keeps telling me I have a small bump but it doesn’t feel that way! I’m having my anti D injection at 28 weeks, has anyone else needed this?

Report
Kate3150 · 07/09/2019 08:39

@forevercurious- I’ve never heard of an anti-D injection. Was it midwife or GP who suggested this to you!?
Sorry to hear you’re not sleeping well 😥, are you sleeping more on one side now? I LOVE sleeping on my back but know it’s not ideal the later we go through pregnancy. I often wake up on my back and think oh no better go on my side 😂!! I’m just behind you at 26 weeks xx
