@badfurday my midwife said to start the night on my left hand side, and if you wake up on your back just roll over to your side again. She told me this at my first appt and there were posters in the hospital about it when I went for my 12wk scan.

I think it's more important after 20 weeks or so but I'm trying to train myself now (14wks). I seem to wake up on my back every time and feel like I've been laid like that a while so I'm looking for a pillow to help keep me wedged on my side - any pillow recommendations are welcome!

Is anyone showing yet? I’m 14 & 5 and have no sign of showing / a bump at all! People keep commenting and I’m starting to wonder if there really is a baby in there 😂

I think it's quite rude for anyone to comment on how you look tbh. Every pregnancy is different, so people will start to show a bump at different times. I'm definitely getting bigger, but not in a noticeable way to anyone really. More likely it's pure fat from the crap I'm still eating lol!

Haha I have a definite food baby by the end of the day but that’s it!

I'm showing (now 16 weeks), have been for a couple of weeks but it is my second, third technically. Can feel little flutters now too! 😊

I’m obsessed with looking at prams but it’s too early, going to wait until at least 20 weeks but it’s tempting to order one. For those that already have children when did you buy a pram?

Hi everyone, had our gender scan today. Baby was so wriggly it was hard to do!! But saw HIM sucking his thumb and playing with his feet too, the most magical thing ever!!

Just found this- soo exciting!! 14 weeks and having a baby boy due Boxing Day! (Please don't come Xmas day little dude!!)

I had my second midwife appointment today and she let us hear the baby’s heartbeat 😍 even heard him kick (quite a lot!). Can’t wait to be able to feel them! Seems like he’s a very wriggly baby as the lady at our scan told us he was too wriggly at one point 🙈

Hi, just had my second midwife appointment - all is going well. How is everyone else at the moment?

Got my second midwife appointment next week, hopefully taking blood for DS screening as couldn't get the NT measurement at the scan. Still feeling pretty nauseous and exhaustion is still here Generally feeling very sad and down at the moment. Don't know if this is normal?
Also hate how slow time is going lol everyone said time will fly by, but it's been dragging!! Lol just want the next scan already!!

I hope your appointment goes well next week. I think it is normal with hormones and emotions all over the place! I’ve certainly had my moments.

I’m still getting nauseous when tired and I currently have heart burn.

Did you have a private scan to find out you’re having a boy?

No we only had a private scan at 10 weeks coz I was too nervous. I don't want to find out the gender, but even if I did our hospital doesn't tell you, and we can't really afford a private gender scan. Husband really wants to know, but I'd rather not. And I hate the whole pink and blue, so would rather have lots of gender neutral colours! 😂

Received my appointment for my 20 week scan! Very excited to see baby again.

Hi guys, im new to this thread, my little one is due on the 3rd December, my birthday is on the 14th not sure i planned this very well as my birthday will be a non event now Lol. My 20 week scan is next week and i think im more nervous/worried about this one than i was the 12 week scan! Im just hoping everything is ok

Do I technically count as a December mama as mine is due on the 31st??

I've got a gender scan booked for this Saturday I'll be 16+5 I'm so exited 😂

@December2019 We're having a girl, I'd booked a private gender scan for Father's Day. Looking forward to the 20 week scan so we know she's ok and growing well! Aw, I bet you're so excited to find out what you're having, find it helps a lot more with planning too, it seemed so much more real to us when we could start referring to her as a 'she'

Yeah it helped a lot planning for my little boy last year.. there will only be 12 months between them (I'm due on his 1st birthday) 😍 I'm exited to decorate the nursery my little boy has a dinosaur theme in his room and I can't wait to start buying things 😊

@December2019 that's lovely that they're going to be so close in age!! They'll have such a lovely bond! Yeah I can't wait to start decorsting her nursery and getting it sorted😁

Have you got a theme in mind for the nursery?
Where thinking unicorns if where having a girl and robots for a boy lol 😂

@December2019 it'll be nice when they're young and nice when they're older, it's the in between stage I imagine where they'll fight and argue haha!
I love those themes!! We're going with elephants so more neutral and then can add bits of colour in with her cot bedding etc

Good to hear everyone is getting on great.
I'm 19+2 today and feeling good. Not sleeping great though and need to get a pregnancy pillow sorted.

Anyone know when we get our MatB1 certificates? I can't remember from the first tine around?
