Anyone else got their 12/13 week scan this week? I've got mine tomorrow and I'm super excited, I haven't seen baby since I had my early scan at 7 weeks

I have mine this week as well. It has literally been the slowest week of my life waiting for it. We had a private early scan at 10 weeks so hasn't been that long, but I'm just sick of hiding it now, it's getting too hard at work due to things going on.. im just desperate to know an exact due date and for it to be out in the open now! Fingers crossed!

Hi everyone, has this group moved onto facebook yet? I emailed the person I thought was setting it up and haven't received any notifications.... so I may have done it wrong or missed the boat. Hoping a I join as my mumsnet friends are such a massive part of mine and my dc1 life xx

@Duebaby2 yes me! On Friday. I've not had any yet so I'm getting really anxious now that everything is ok. Fingers crossed for every one

@Jonjah, which email address did you email, was it [email protected]? If not, email that one and one of us will add you. If it was when did you email?

I’m absolutely run down with cold and congestion. Any tips to get rid? I’ve done head over bowl of steam and vicks but I’m struggling to even breathe now :(

@beagle not it was [email protected]?! Was that wrong? I'll email Mary :) now. Thanks for letting me know xx

@bobble have you tried those lavender eye masks that Optrex make? They soothe and make my eyes feel really rested (even on 3 hours sleep) and less congested

Beaglemum93 · 09/06/2019 19:45

@Jonjah that was the original one but unfortunately the person who set it up lost her baby so now we have a joint email that we can all access and add people.

Bobble- I usually use good old synex but as we are not allowed to at the moment, I've been using those breathe right strips at night. They have been a life saver for me to get a good night sleep.

How's everyone else's bump doing? I'm 15 weeks and seem to have all of a sudden popped. I feel bloody huge!

I've got my 12wk scan tomorrow, I had a scan at 7 and another at 8 due to some
bleeding and pain but things have settled down since then so hopefully everything will be ok tomorrow. A bit nervous about the combined testing as I'm officially geriatric (such a nice phrase) but I'm trying not to focus on that too much.

Good luck to everyone else having scans this week Smile

@BirdIsland what date are you due? I've got mine today too but I pushed it back a week due to work.

I'm due 17th December. I am determined not to have this one the week of Christmas. 17th December no later! If I have to stay 4/5 days again, I want to be home in time for Christmas!

Report
BirdIsland · 10/06/2019 09:53

@duebaby2 I'm also due 17 December but that might get updated today as it doesn't quite fit with my own dates. This is my first so no idea when baby will actually make an appearance, would be really nice to be home for Christmas with a new little baby though!

Yeah sometimes they move it depending on the growth of the baby. My first was moved back three days from the 16th nov to the 19th nov and he was born on the 13th nov. it's only a guess of when the baby might arrive so don't worry if your dates move.

Got my scan done today, all looking good and even though baby was mostly looking away it seems to look like his/hers big brother when we had his 12 week ultrasound

Also had our scan this week, and all was good! Went straight back to work and told everyone I could, was so relieved to have it out in the open!
They couldn't do the NT measurement for downs due to baby's position, even after trying to get them moved. I'm finally excited now!

How’s everyone’s bumps coming along? I’m 15+2 and no sign of it yet! It gets a bit bigger as the day goes on but I think that’s just food baby haha.

It's called due December 2019-part 2
I recognise some of your usernames from the first December thread 😊
How you guys doing (sorry haven't had time to read through yet)

@Jonjah I'm not in any Facebook group so I can't help, sorry!

No bump really as yet, but trousers are feeling tighter. I had to go and get measured and get new bras as I had gone up a whole 2 sizes so far, I can't believe it. Am massive! Lol!

Jonjah · 14/06/2019 22:41

Oh sorry it was @Beaglemum93 i was talking to about the group!

I know, if only they weren't so painful the extra shapely-ness would be great!!

Anyone know how we are meant to be sleeping? I've read from 16 weeks we are not supposed to lay in our backs. I'm sure in my first pregnancy I was told to sleep on my left side only? Just reading online and it looks like either side is ok? I have a midwife appointment in a couple of weeks so will ask, just wondered if anyone knew in the meantime?

Hope everyone else is good! I'm 16 weeks tomorrow, seems to be flying now 😊

I think the sleeping position matters more when you're bigger, with a larger bump. I usually go to sleep on my back sometimes but I can imagine it would be uncomfortable on my back with all that weight. I don't think it's something to overly worry about at this stage? That's my thinking.

@Jonjah I've sent invites out to everyone that's emailed us, I've resent one out to one person who emailed us again (I'm not sure if that was you?) so there may be a problem with the facebook invite system. If you still haven't got an invite email [email protected] again and I'll try and send another invite.
