@MoominMantra I started using the bands at 5 weeks pregnant and have not taken them off! One day I did forget to put them back on after a shower and left to run errands. Felt so nauseous and came home to see my bands on the counter whoops! I do have a little sore spot from the plastic rubbing against my skin but I'll take that over nausea anyday

Lyssa91 · 01/06/2019 00:16

Finally saw the heartbeat today! 140bpm. I thought I was only 8 weeks but doctor measured me at 9 weeks exactly. Was worried because I had 2 days of spotting and light cramping but seeing that heart flicker was the best feeling. Seeing my 260 pound manly man cry like a baby was pretty priceless too Grin

@Lyssa91 beautiful xx

SleepingStandingUp · 01/06/2019 06:48

If you're booking in is after 10 I'd def call and mention you're concerned about when you're doing to get your antenatal bloods done which need doing before 10 weeks.

Chips84 · 01/06/2019 07:07

How wonderful @Lyssa91

I too got to see a little heartbeat yesterday. It really is the most wonderful experience.
Dates came in at 6+6 which is what I was expecting 😁

We told my mum about the baby yday and showed her the pic from the early scan :) She was very happy but I felt a bit bad as we asked her not to tell anyone else, we want to tell siblings etc after the 12 week scan just to be sure. Telling DH's mum today!! It feels real when you start to tell ppl!

plipliop · 01/06/2019 07:53

Morning everyone!

Yesterday and this morning I've not been feeling as sick as I was.

Starting to worry...

Lovely scan pics!

MummyBearBoo · 01/06/2019 07:53

Hi guys bit been on for ages cuz I'm on holiday at then mo so been busy 2nd due 12th Jan I think though midwife put me at 27th Dec coz of my long cycles- I think I'm 8 weeks onMonday and got an NHS dating scan on 11th June when I think I'll be 9 weeks - a week on Tuesday still seems ages away! Xxx

Chantalle3 · 01/06/2019 08:32

@plipliop I'm exactly the same yesterday and today!

DaisyMay25 · 01/06/2019 08:36

@plipliop my sickness has been far better the past two days so try not to worry. I'm enjoying eating whilst I can.
Although my nausea kicked in just as my dominos came last night

mynameisMrG · 01/06/2019 09:07

Same here @plipliop, much less sickness the last two days

I caved and ordered some maternity clothes because everything is so uncomfortable! So now obviously I can't stop worrying if jinxed it and something will go wrong! Obviously I know that ordering clothes will not actually have any influence on what happens or not but my head won't stop thinking the worst!

plipliop · 01/06/2019 09:40

@mynameisMrG @DaisyMay25 @Chantalle3 oh thank you! This has made me feel better! My midwife gave me her (work) mobile number and I already text her and she said not to worry. She's gonna regret giving me that number.

Going to try and enjoy today. I'm going to see one of my fav bands play today. I saw someone else play last night and stayed out until 11pm!

Feeling v tired today.

plipliop · 01/06/2019 09:40

@Cannyhandleit that is a exactly the way my brain works too!

megganonion · 01/06/2019 10:20

@newbiemam i definitely will!! I am hoping to be a bit further along but dont think so going by clearblues. Although we only dtd once in april i really had counted myself out but suppose it only takes the one time Wink i had a chemical pregnancy a few months ago (why i went back on the pill) so jusf taking it one day at a time. This pregnancy is nothing like my other 3, i was so sick with the boys, but skin was great, this time ive no nausea except when im starving im snacking on sea salt crackers every hour, and my skin is terrible. Had a really bad breakout last week, and my whole skin is dry and so itchy. Its so bad at night im using camomile lotion to sooth the itch, moisturiser just isnt doing it.
Hope all goes well with ur scan, keep me updated! X

We have my nieces birthday today and for once I’m not going to be lying about not drinking because of antibiotics 😂 though I do feel I will have to show them to everyone to prove it

DaisyMay25 · 01/06/2019 11:16

I dreamt about maternity clothes and I've woken up very bloated so I'll take it as a sign!

Also is anyone using reusable diapers? I'm starting to do some research into them

LadyChancer · 01/06/2019 11:50

@Bentley111

What an asshole! I’d throw up on him.

I spent most of the morning dry heaving in an Aldi car park. Delightful. OH is super supportive as he saw what I went through the first time around. If he wasn’t, I wouldn’t be having a second, that’s for sure.

Mirana · 01/06/2019 12:00

My morning sickness is just getting worse and worse 🤢 up from 3-4am throwing up (for the first time so far). Praying it isnt a floodgates situation and I'll be puking everyday!

Scan pictures are gorgeous 😍 makes me both nervous and excited for mine!

Mirana · 01/06/2019 12:34

Also received my booking in appointment today, for 10th June... But I would only be 7+1!! They're going by my LMP, not considering gestational age or my long cycles (by LMP 10th June I'd be 9 weeks). I've sent a message to rebook, but I hope I'm not fighting with them the whole way!

Honestly wish I'd lied about LMP, can tell already it's going to be a nightmare. Not all of us have perfect 30 day cycles, mine are 45 days+!!

Hufflepuffinalltheway · 01/06/2019 14:00

Hi Everyone! Adding myself to the thread. I found out I’m pregnant with my 3rd just yesterday and think I am due on the 24/01/2020.
I think I’m 6+1 but will have a reassurance scan to check and because I had a miscarriage last year so it’ll be nice to hopefully see a little heartbeat ❤️ Feeling ok so far, tired and nauseous.
I have a 6 month old so it’ll be a small gap and definitely wasn’t mean to happen. Pregnancy will be a struggle this time but it’s not a bad thing and we will try embrace it the best we can!
Looking forward to getting to know everyone :)

CatRash · 01/06/2019 14:10

@DaisyMay25 I used reusable wipes with my daughter but didn't start till she was 14 months old (and stopped at 21 months due to potty training). I plan to do it from birth this time around and will invest in some newborn reusable nappies as the 'birth to potty' ones I have only really fit from 10lbs and my DD was only 6lb7oz.

I've done the Nappy Lady questionnaire (which I'd highly recommend if you haven't already) so have an idea what to go for but haven't bought anything yet. Might go for second hand as newborn nappies are barely worn before being outgrown.

CatRash · 01/06/2019 14:11

*reusable NAPPIES not wipes.... although I do use reusable wipes and they are amazing. So much better all round and would recommend to everyone even those not using reusable nappies.

SleepingStandingUp · 01/06/2019 14:19

@Mirana you won't win till you have a "12" week scan and you measure"wrong". I just go along with it until the first scan, they'll rebook you in if necessary so you'll have an early scan plus your 12 week scan.
Once the measurement is done everything goes off that
