Ladies is there anything I can take in this first trimester? I've got quite intense pain in my upper abdomen - it's 100% trapped wind/indegestion I get it quite regularly normally and it does hurt but I just take a windeeze and it passes but I've suffered al day today and no amount of warm water and natural remedies are helping - it's even put me off my food 🤦🏻‍♀️ (and we all know already I love to eatttt)

DaisyMay25 · 10/06/2019 17:56

@Cannyhandleit cold rice pudding sounds delicious right now!
I love the thought of most food then when it's in front of me I feel sick
I can eat fruit though so I guess that's a good thing!

DaisyMay25 · 10/06/2019 17:56

@TheOnlyMrsA I'm pretty sure you can take gaviscon or rennies for trapped wind?

NoMoreFastCars82 · 10/06/2019 18:07

@TheOnlyMrsA I've a prescription from my doctor for gaviscon so it is safe in the first trimester x
I've had severe acid reflux and all sorts of tummy issues and this took the edge off the worst days and haven't had to have as much this last week x

McHelenz · 10/06/2019 18:14

I feel dog rough now.

Yesterday I managed mums roast dinner. Today, super noodles and I'm struggling 😭

MrsPandigital · 10/06/2019 18:21

@TheOnlyMrsA I've been living off orange Rennie's 😊 I get what pain you mean and it's unbearable !!!

MummyBearBoo · 10/06/2019 18:25

@McHelenz -my symptoms are up and down too - Saturday I ate twice and threw up twice couldn't keep any food down - today I couldn't eat breakfast but had a jacket spud for lunch and didn't even feel sick after I ate - the sore boobs are a constant but they tend to alternate as to which one hurts the most! Got my scan tomorrow morning so hope all is ok so far!! Xx

poposaurus · 10/06/2019 18:43

So disappointed- was meant to have booking in tomorrow & doctors just called to say midwife is off ill & I have to rearrange. I was really looking forward to it! xx

mynameisMrG · 10/06/2019 18:48

Good luck with your scan @MummyBearBoo.

I just dozed off and was woken by my DS pouring water on me. So that was pleasant

Thanks @mynameisMrG xx

megganonion · 10/06/2019 19:33

@mynameisMrG i had a brief 5 min nap earlier woke up to ds covering my face in stickers, no rest with toddlers.
@McHelenz im currently living on super noodles, bread with butter or jam toast, cannot face anything more. Im taking my pregnacare and trying to eat as much fruit as i can, but its giving me acid reflux. If i can find the energy to go to lidl tomorrow i will get some smoothie fruits hopefully that wont be as bad for the stomach. I went to asda yesterday and only managed to get half my shopping done as dh and 3 boys hate shopping and i was exhausted i just gave up. Will be doing it online from now on i think!

Ann334 · 10/06/2019 19:39

Had my first midwife appointment today, just a hello and tell me your entire life history and wee in this cup kind of appointment. Got bloods in a fortnight. I actually loved the appointment! Made it feel more real and my partner was so excited too it’s really sweet.
Finding it so hard to cope with the nausea at work, I’m a dental nurse and the general public are even more repulsive than normal. And with my pregnancy nose I can literally smell gum disease across the room 🤢
I also can’t decide what to eat until I’ve checked the thread and you guys have told me the flavour of the day and then it’s all I can think about! I’m so grateful for that

Soph43 · 10/06/2019 20:00

I had my ten week scan! It was so nice seeing the baby wiggling about, and got a little wave...

Then this week I Just feel so ill all the time :( tried everything.. wish I could just be sick but unfortunately it’s nausea 😭 hope everyone else is coping a bit better! X

NoMoreFastCars82 · 10/06/2019 20:17

@Soph43 aww sounds lovely!

@Ann334 I wouldn't cope with your job! The very thought turns my stomach 🤢

I've currently got a lodger who seems to cook the weirdest smelling food and he's Italian and every night now it wafts up the stairs and I'm like 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 for hours!!

Thankfully he moves out in a month but my god I can't bear it!!

mynameisMrG · 10/06/2019 20:21

Glad it’s not just me @megganonion 😂😂

Congratulations @Soph43

I had my booking in appt today met such a lovely midwife little scared though as I deliver really fast so she said when I get into the later stages of pregnancy any niggles come straight in! My first DD the labour from start to finish was 1HR 45 minutes My Ds was 45 minutes start to finish, if this one takes after the other two I'll barely be off the phone to the midwife!. Knowing my luck this will be my longest one yet Grin. They've put it down as a name as well I think it's called precipitate labour also got my 12 week scan on the 26th I'm really excited how is everyone?

NoMoreFastCars82 · 10/06/2019 21:28

@anitagreen I'm hoping I sneeze and he or she is out 😂 if you have a quicker labour then I'm guessing that would be better than long and drawn out (though not having one before I'm hoping to god I get many many pain drugs however long it takes lol)

Haven't had my call for my 12 week scan yet and thinking I may call the hospital and check they got my paperwork as I need to book in with their midwife also 🙄

anitagreen · 10/06/2019 21:35

@NoMoreFastCars82 😂 is this your first or do you have more? Apparently you labour quicker more you have lol and I had to self refer as well but was quite quick and we don't have notes anymore got this annoying App instead which your midwife can message you on and put notes on and appointments it's quite good actually just really basic and I miss my green book!x

NoMoreFastCars82 · 10/06/2019 21:41

@anitagreen my first, I'm est 9 weeks ish now and so far loving the morning sickness, acid reflux, dodgy tummy and eating and craving specific things and having to only have that Cos everything else makes me 🤢😂

So yep, if I've got to suffer now I think the birth should be lovely and quick to counter the way I feel now 😂😂... won't work that way but wishful thinking!!

You'll have to let us know how long your labour ends up... hopefully it's really easy for you x

mynameisMrG · 10/06/2019 21:41

I’m the same @anitagreen, my DS was born in three hours so I have to head straight to the hospital as soon as I feel twinges. I had nightmares with my last pregnancy that I would give birth in Tesco 😂

NoMoreFastCars82 · 10/06/2019 21:42

@anitagreen forgot to say I've a pouch with notes in from one midwife and the hospital one (different district) is all online I've been told... will get confusing between both midwifes lol

SleepingStandingUp · 10/06/2019 22:01

my tummy is sore to touch :( skin below my button, anyone else have that? I havent bumped it at all.
getting some pain around my c sec scar especially if i need the loo.

don't you just love all the random symptoms lol

NoMoreFastCars82 · 10/06/2019 22:54

@SleepingStandingUp I'm painful round that area when I'm bunged up 👎🏻 and damn it is painful if it starts!
I don't have a scar there so can't comment on that bit but I'm sure someone else can x

SleepingStandingUp · 10/06/2019 23:23

Def not bunged up, I can poo for England right now lol

megganonion · 11/06/2019 08:15

@anitagreen they wer super fast labours Shock i have serious fear of fast labour my bil delivered his son on the side of the road on the way to the hospital and it completely freaks me out mainly because all 3 of my ds wer born with the cord around their necks and yds was shoulder dyscocia and needed oxygen. I know if i wasnt in hospital he wouldnt be here today. My first labour was 46 hours, second was 9 hours and third was induced labour started with pessaries on tuesday 7am every 12 hours until they finally gave up and i started the drip friday at 5am ds3 didnt arrive until 5.20pm they also had to break my waters at 4.50pm i think this is why he got stuck my body just wasnt ready to labour. Completely bricking it this time round about having c section Confused
