@mynameisMrG yep, I’m demolishing mine right now 😂

SleepingStandingUp · 10/06/2019 11:17

I wonder if there's a limit to how many wees you can go for in an exam??
Reckon I go just before we start then as soon as we're allowed (so about 30 minutes in) in case it takes them a while to come to me / it's far away. And def one before the last 30 minute marker. One in the middle??
My concern is having one too early then. Not needing one til 20 minutes before the end when I won't be allowed, then all the paper collection faff, queues etc. I've just waited 5 minutes for the loo and had horrific cramps. That was about 40 minutes ago and I need to go again!!
Also boiled sweets not pop so less liquid.

I'm more obsessed about this that I am the actual exam!!

Def need to buy some travel John'S for camping. I recommend them if you've oy tried them before

CatRash · 10/06/2019 11:33

Ahaha @mynameisMrG. I like your style! Although how will you survive lunchtime / this afternoon? Lunch #2?

This is why I have a billion snacks with me everyday to keep me going till lunch. I think I might have to install a little conveyor belt at my desk like in sushi bars just to keep the food rolling in.

CatRash · 10/06/2019 11:35

@SleepingStandingUp perhaps tell the invigilator you're pregnant so they know to expect lots of pee breaks? Good luck for your exam - when is it?

MrsM18 · 10/06/2019 12:25

The amount I've eaten this morning is actually quite concerning 😂😂 Although I've decided to rein it in a little as the lbs have already crept on 😩 All Slimming World friendly food this morning but just copious amounts of it lol.

DH is working away this week so just me and the toddler! I feel exhausted already lol

Camomila · 10/06/2019 12:37

Morning all, had my booking in appointnent today. The midwife said if I always book for Mondays I'll always get her, so that's nice. I had DS in London and I don't think I saw the same person twice. I've been put on the 'high risk' pathway as I had a 3rd degree tear/pph with DS but I was expecting that.

Only managed half an hour work then went home as felt funny/faint after the blood test. I think I'm going to put in a request for part time work. I don't think I can manage pregnancy/ft work/ds/dissertation. Its just too much.

Bluebelltulip · 10/06/2019 12:48

@Camomila I had a 3rd degree tear and pph with my first and had an appointment with the consultant who after checking I had no on going problems transferred me back to midwife care so you may not be high risk all the way through. I didn't tear or have a pph the second time. It's good you can get some consistency this time, only one midwife works at my GPs so always see her.

@MrsM18 I've been really hungry today too, probably because it's the first time in I while I don't feel too sick.

DinoGreen · 10/06/2019 13:12

@Camomila that’s interesting about the high risk pathway, what are the criteria? I had a pretty bad PPH with my DS although no tear because I had an episiotomy (forceps delivery). Despite that I just assumed I’d be midwife led again.

My booking in is a week today. Also looking forward to it even though it’s boring because it kicks everything off!

TheOnlyMrsA · 10/06/2019 13:13

@Camomila our midwife is community based so unless she's off I'll always have the same midwife. She made a point of giving me an appointment day for my booking in appt (after my hello meeting) so I'd definitely see her and then called me with a time once she was around the appointment book.

Going forward I'll just phone my Gp's to make an appointment with her - as she's the midwife based at my GP.

I think it was a nice touch to on her part to say 'I'm doing a clinic day on ** so I should be able to do you booking in then, I'll confirm it with you tomorrow but if you don't book in with my that date I won't see you till your 16 week check and I like to see my own ladies where I can and really get to know you' xox

lynwen84 · 10/06/2019 13:17

Hi all thanks for the heads up with the baby show in Manchester I'll be going!

Does anyone know if there's anywhere to get a voucher code for money off. I see a box to enter a code ;) I haven't received my Emma's diary free pack yet so wonder whether there's vouchers in there?

mynameisMrG · 10/06/2019 13:24

I packed two lunches today @CatRash 😀

@lynwen84 I just looked through the book and there isn't one unfortunately 😞

CatRash · 10/06/2019 13:33

@mynameisMrG you're my hero 😂

@Dinogreen You'll be consultant led (at least initially). According to my midwife PPH and episiotomy are both reasons for it. I'm consultant led because of those two (plus previous pre-eclampsia) but don't have my consultant appointment until end of August!!!

Quick question for those that have had tears or episiotomies...what's your perineum like?? Blush

Mines solid as a rock thanks to episiotomy, tear and further corrective surgery. I cannot believe a whole baby is ever coming out of there again!! Sex is still a little painful Blush

Bentley111 · 10/06/2019 13:47

Does anyone feel their nausea drops when things are cleaner? I have been so ill and have let the housework slips... DH does try but its usually a really shit job. This afternoon I've managed to pull myself off the sofa and blitz the kitchen and the lounge. Feel so much better for it but absolutely exhausted now 💤

raligator · 10/06/2019 13:56

Guys I hit a new low today, I was sick 3 times while out for a walk. No where to hide, not even in bushes, just had to get down in the weeds at the side of the road Sad

It was my first walk in weeks as I’ve been pretty much bed bound.

I can’t wait for the scan to show me a happy reason for feeling so crap!

DinoGreen · 10/06/2019 13:59

@CatRash thanks. I’m hoping for a much easier birth this time round! Tbh I’m a bit scared to investigate my perineum much ... my episiotomy healed well but it still seems like a very hard raised line of scar tissue. Yours sounds like it was much worse if you had to have corrective surgery. I wonder if they cut it again down the same line? Bleugh I don’t like to think too much about it!

McHelenz · 10/06/2019 14:22

So, maternity jeans are the best ever. Why, as a fat person, have these never been marketed to me before 😂😂😂.

Bluebelltulip · 10/06/2019 14:31

@Bentley111 I usually feel more myself if I've got some cleaning done. My DH is very good at telling me not to worry about housework and rest but doesn't then seem to realise that he will have to do it until I point it out to him.

Anon120 · 10/06/2019 14:49

Guys... I've had porridge for breakfast, two lunches and now just bought a whole pack of chocolates.. literally a box. I couldn't help myself.. it's getting BAD 😂😱

DinoGreen · 10/06/2019 15:26

@Anon120 I’ve just eaten an entire family sized bag of salt n vinegar twists 🙊

Bentley111 · 10/06/2019 15:29

@Bluebelltulip mines exactly the same... whilst I'm not ocd about it, we've got 3 dogs so it does need to be kept on top of. He will do a quick hoover round if I ask but wouldn't think to get into the corners etc 🙈

Mirana · 10/06/2019 17:12

7+1 today!

Feeling totally crap 🤢 Every time I get hungry or tired the nausea kicks in. So tired too!! Need to do a Tesco shop tonight- massively craving granola and yoghurt 😂😂

OH is living in liverpool and his car has packed up, so I'll be on my own down here for the foreseeable. Hes also joining the list of people who are being arseholes. Would quite like to sleep until the 2nd trimester please!!

How many of us are waiting until 12 weeks for a scan? Obviously had my one on Friday at 6+5 and everything was fab. I cant find early scans cheaper than £80 where I am, which I cant really justify. I'm in quite a few miscarriage/pregnancy loss groups and so many stories come up where people have losses after seeing a heartbeat at 6 weeks. I'm scaring myself either way, tempted to wait but also terrified of another mmc 🤦‍♀️

Mirana · 10/06/2019 17:13

I do have my booking in appt on Thursday though, will take a sugary drink after the dizziness stories!

mynameisMrG · 10/06/2019 17:37

Seems like everyone’s having a few rough days. I escaped the nausea today but am feeling a bit crampy and uncomfortable this evening. And shattered. Just want to sleep all the time

Cannyhandleit · 10/06/2019 17:47

No scan for me until 12 weeks, 3 weeks to go 😩, private scans are too expensive near us!
Today's weird food craving is cold rice pudding and strawberries! Told the other half to go to Tesco and stock up on his way home tonight!
