anxious I watched a segment on breakfast TV yesterday about listeria, based around this story and also looking at listeria in pregnancy. Safe to say it’s put the fear into me now and I’ll kiss goodbye to pre packed sarnies for the next 30 weeks!

splishandsplash · 09/06/2019 09:40

Just fallen backwards on my chair at camping and hit my back on the floor now I'm really worried 😕

MrsPandigital · 09/06/2019 09:42

Hi folks, hope you're all well. I thought I would share my early scan photo from yesterday... I had the early scan simply because I am impatient and it was really cheap. I also just wanted to check I was pregnant, because like others, I sometimes have days where I forget I'm pregnant or doubt whether I am.

I can confidently say I have a little human with a strong (173bpm) heartbeat growing inside me and I am so ecstatic (hearing the heartbeat did bring a tear to my eye)!! It has made it very real and I am actually 5 days further along than previously thought. So now I'm 9 weeks 5 days and yet to have my booking in appointment (got it tomorrow). Hopefully won't be too late for a 12 week scan/tests.

@Mirana could you just not lie and leave them to work it out? Your sisters aren't babies, and will notice if you normally drink but aren't, have put on a bit of weight etc. Of course their teenagers so might be self absorbed lol but I'd just do what you need to do, and if thry ask say something like "well it's too early to get excited but I'll come and see you next month" so you aren't lying to them? I have made it clear to DH that I will not lie if someoen asks me directly.

@splishandsplash how are you? Any pain or bleeding? Remember baby is like a raspberry inside a well padded orange inside you. She's protected by all the organs and bones too. So you're likely to come off much worse than her. Any concerns though then def get checked

mynameisMrG · 09/06/2019 10:07

Great scan photo @MrsPandigital

I've got three lots of camping to survive - 10.5 weeks, 18 weeks and 20 weeks. I must be mad. Hoping a single air bed will be enough but if tent doesn't need replacing imight treat myself to a deep airbed!

NewbieMam · 09/06/2019 10:44

Did anyone else throw up at their booking appointment??

I've just had mine, I've not thrown up the entire pregnancy so far... Got my bloods done after about 10 minutes then went pale, clammy, feeling sick... Then threw up twice all over my shirt! Had to take it off and sit with my jacket zipped up for the rest of the appointment 😂

So embarrassed but the midwife and my mam didn't mind!

Missmonkeypenny · 09/06/2019 12:17

sleeping we’re off camping at the beginning of August when I’ll be 18 weeks - I definitely booked a fully furnished bell tent with feather mattresses Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 09/06/2019 13:53

I'll be at a festival in staff or punter camping. I sleep in what I take! ⛺😂

MummyBearBoo · 09/06/2019 14:17

I had only been sick once until yesterday - I'd been starting to feel better then ate twice yesterday and threw up after both meals!! I'm 9 weeks tomorrow got my dating scan Tuesday and have managed to keep my food down today but still feeling very sick!!! Xx

Fivebyfive2 · 09/06/2019 14:29

Pregnancy brain has kicked in!! I'm having the family over for Sunday lunch, put the meat on the top oven, then realised an hour later I had heated up the bottom oven 🤦‍♀️ All OK, just got to eat an hour later. What a wolly!!

You ladies doing camping are more hardcore than me, I very much admire the spirit!! Xxx

mynameisMrG · 09/06/2019 14:53

Glad it’s not just me @Fivebyfive2, couldn’t for the life of me work out why DSs fish fingers weren’t cooking... until I realised the oven was on instead of the grill

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't read the 30 pages just the first one.

I'm due January 13th. First pregnancy.

Anyone else suffering with vomiting and nausea :'(

So pleased to be pregnant. Was able to cancel our appointment at the fertility for IVF!!!

NoMoreFastCars82 · 09/06/2019 16:17

@lynwen84 there's a hell of a lot of posts so it would take you ages! 😂

Congrats, my estimated date is 12th 👍🏻

Vomiting and nausea you're stuck with for a bit unfortunately 👎🏻
One minute I think I'll be fine or wake up and feel human, next I'm back to 🤢🤐

Are you trying things like ginger, orange juice or other remedies to try and calm it?

mynameisMrG · 09/06/2019 16:27

Welcome @lynwen84, you are among good company with the nausea!

@Fivebyfive2 I've caught the wring bus twice in two days. Both times caught bus to Town A instead of TownB. Noticed just after it's pulled off... Wouldn't be so bad but I catch the bus to TownB much more often!!

I volunteer at festivals, had two years mat leave for DS from it and have enjoyed being back. It won't be feasible with two kids at home so this will be my last year, so I'm determined. I just need help with my bags as midwife said I can't carryall my equipment etc

Bentley111 · 09/06/2019 16:52

Lovely pic @MrsPandigital

Having a terrible day today - nothing is staying down. Had to hang up the phone to my mum to dash off to stick my head down the loo.
Gross 🤢

mrscatmad31 · 09/06/2019 16:55

Struggling a bit, stupidity thought this pregnancy would be the same as my first where I felt fine but this time I'm tired, thirsty and feeling sick all day :-( not actually been sick though luckily, also feeling really down but not sure why!

HungryPanda92 · 09/06/2019 17:03

I've got terrible nausea today but still no sickness. Guess I should count myself lucky it is just nausea but its definitely not fun.

Fivebyfive2 · 09/06/2019 17:06

@sleepingstandingup, that's great about volunteering! What festivals will you be helping out at? I'll keep everything crossed the weather is OK at them for you!

Lunch was late, but all went well otherwise! Showed my parents, bro and sil the pics from our scan, it was lovely 🙂

Bluebelltulip · 09/06/2019 17:12

Had my first craving of this pregnancy, milkshake, I don't normally like it but drank it when I was pregnant with DD1, didn't get it with DD2 but when DH made one earlier I really fancied it and enjoyed the one he made me.

TheOnlyMrsA · 09/06/2019 17:22

God major cheese cravigs since day one honestly, no matter how sick I feel I can always eat somthing Cheesey. Baby's nickname is the baby cheesus 😂😂

NoMoreFastCars82 · 09/06/2019 17:34

@TheOnlyMrsA I'm afraid I'm with you on the cheese thing... it's the only thing I haven't been fussy about or gone off... mature cheddar slices from co op... lovely with cheese and onion crisps and butter in bread 👍🏻😂.... made myself hungry now lol

TheOnlyMrsA · 09/06/2019 17:37

@NoMoreFastCars82 pregnancy twins 😂

I'm going to make a risotto for tea so I can put plenty of veggies in it for my 5 a day and lace it was a shit load of cheese in there to make it somthing I actually want to eat 😂 my husband is like 'are you sure you aren't carrying a mouse' 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

SleepingStandingUp · 09/06/2019 17:41

@Fivebyfive2 this year I'll be team leading at a biker event called Farmyard party, so lots of sitting in my bum in our living space, a metal festival called Bloodstock where I hope to buy lots of slight gothy baby grows and then Leeds Festival where I'm just hoping to see Bastille lol
