@mchelenz ah I think that’s only up the road from where we are going!
@dinogreen I live right near the new forest you will love it. Your son will love the fluffy ponies!
Any must have supplies/kit either of you recommend for pregnant camping?
I’m definitely taking a wee wee bucket

plipliop · 08/06/2019 16:42

My nausea is back which is reassuring!
I also have vertigo and can't take my meds which night also be the cause of nausea.

I had three naps yesterday and then slept all night too. Amazing.

I can't eat cheese :(
I miss pizza but the thought makes me want to vom.

Sandwiches are my friend. Along with tomato soup, orange juice and pancakes.

I have completely gone of s&v crisps which were my saviour before.

I have sickle cell trait (already knew about). DH was tested with DS1 and they haven't got the records as it was 12 years ago. They are asking him to come in again. Silly really as SCT is something you are born with so he can't have developed it since he was last tested!

I received an appt with obstetrics today for September 😯 Does that mean I'm consultant care?

Have ordered some maternity clothes from Boohoo. Can't wait for them to arrive as I hate having things press around my middle. Have you guys got maternity clothes yet?

I have to say, I was massively bloated before and looked about 5 months gone but that seems to be easing up now. My waist is deffo thicker. Weight wise, I put on three pounds and then lost 2. I haven't weighed myself this week though.

plipliop · 08/06/2019 16:43

Oh I love camping too!

We were going to go New Forest camping I. May but I chickened our due to the vomiting.

We are going in August tho.

Mirana · 08/06/2019 16:45

So glad it's not just me gagging at everything 😂

I'm from a split family and BOTH my mothers are doing my head in today. One is demanding I start thinking about names and buying things to prepare (I'm 7 weeks tomorrow). When I say I'm not doing anything until 12 weeks she calls me negative and tells me to "stop thinking like that". Its like she has NO understanding whatsoever of how it feels being pregnant after loss (even though I was directly after her losing my brother).

My other mum is barely speaking to me, we've spoken twice since I told her three weeks ago, she had no morning sickness or any symptoms at all really so doesnt understand the struggle 🤦‍♀️ she also wont let me tell my sisters (18, 16 and 14) until 12 weeks, and all she talks about is me miscarrying again. Annoying as may/june/July are full of family events and birthdays so I'm bare faced lying to my sisters every time I see them. Also gets me down having constant negative reminders.

DOES A HAPPY MEDIUM EXIST???

NoMoreFastCars82 · 08/06/2019 16:55

@plipliop I've been on boohoo also and bought some stuff... I felt a little weird and thought maybe I was getting ahead of myself but least I have something other than my fat trousers (yoga ones haha) 😂

NoMoreFastCars82 · 08/06/2019 16:57

@Fivebyfive2 what a brilliant scan pic! Really pleased for you on the strong heartbeat also 👍🏻💪🏻☺️

NoMoreFastCars82 · 08/06/2019 17:00

@Mirana never easy is it!! Sounds like your head is all over when you should really be concentrating on yourself bless ya!!

My partner hasn't told his parents yet! Mine know but he's a chicken Cos he's got two from a failed marriage (she's nuts and his parent don't like her though and they like me) I told him I won't push but as we are up there end of month for a week I won't be hiding myself away if I've morning sickness or food aversions etc I've told him... I don't need a stressed holiday thanks lol

Bluebelltulip · 08/06/2019 17:10

@Plipliop I'm already wearing some maternity stuff but I only had 2.5 months between pregnancies. My philosophy is that being comfortable is more important than whether I'm far enough along to wear it.

@Mirana it must be odd having the 2 extremes, is it possible that your mum is over compensating? And doesn't want her loss to take away from your positively?

MoominMantra · 08/06/2019 17:22

I thought my mum was going to go mad about me being pregnant but she's actually surprised me by being nice! She worries about me because I have Aspergers so I'm not really a 'normal' person. Well I am but I'm just not typical I guess.

McHelenz · 08/06/2019 17:22

I don't know how I'm going to camp. Took me all day yesterday to clean the bathroom and all day today to clean the living room. I'm pooped.

poposaurus · 08/06/2019 17:24

Ive caved & booked a scan for tomorrow- so bloody nervous about it!

plipliop · 08/06/2019 17:35

@Bluebelltulip bloody hell! You must be knackered!

TheOnlyMrsA · 08/06/2019 17:51

@DaisyMay25 I wasn't able to eat much of it, there was some horrible people near us with propper bad manners and I got pissed off and hot and it put me off my food 🤦🏻‍♀️ anger levels. Ate those potato things though.

I've been in bed most of the day my backs achey and I've felt hungover.... luckily the husband was more than happy for a duvet day with me so he's fetched me juice and sandwiches haha

mynameisMrG · 08/06/2019 17:57

My nausea is back with a vengeance today too. Nothing seems to be helping it. Just want to lie down all the time. Roll on the 2nd trimester!!

I've been same all day 👎🏻 I've stayed in bed and watched scorpion on Netflix cuddled up in my preg pillow (I know it's way early but god it's comfy lol)

TheOnlyMrsA · 08/06/2019 18:15

@NoMoreFastCars82 I also have a preg pillow and it's just wonderful haha xox

Mumof4andahalf · 08/06/2019 18:22

Neither families know yet.... my daughter asked if I was pregnant in a joking manor as I've not drank for a few weeks, I told her yes but she just laughed and said 'why you really not drinking' 🤣🤣

McHelenz · 08/06/2019 18:32

I'm telling my mum tomorrow, I'm a bit anxious, don't know why!

megganonion · 08/06/2019 18:42

I was on the phone to my mum wen i got my bfp so she has known from i found out Grin we are very close, she is more excited than me and hubby. We told his parents a few weeks back and they didnt have much to say (think they already knew as i told his sister the day before and think she spilled the beans) they said congratulations and maybe it will be a girl that was it! This is grandchild 10 for them so not going to overthink it.
Ive great support from my own family and friends so dont put too much weight behind wat others say or think.

NoMoreFastCars82 · 08/06/2019 19:17

@TheOnlyMrsA oh I feel better now 😂😂 mine is now my fave thing ever 😂😂 my partner thinks it's taken his place haha!! Envious of a preg pillow is amusing to me 😋

NewbieMam · 08/06/2019 19:25

We've told both sets of parents and siblings about 1 week after we found out!
Both my parents and brother all cried

His brothers girlfriend is pregnant and they announced in march to parents, April to us (after we'd started trying) and my partners parents were a bit funny, I think they were shocked, they laughed a bit thinking it was a joke, and his dad made a comment about how you wait ages for a bus and then they all come at once 😂

Since then though his parents seem happy about it, they've been buying bits for both babies!

His brother was very shocked barely said 2 words!

Worried his whole family will react that way too!

We've also told my friends as we went away with them for a week!

CatRash · 08/06/2019 20:58

I've not heard about that test @AstroKate so assume they don't do it in my area. I had pre-eclampsia in my first pregnancy too so higher risk this time so would have thought they would have told me about it if it were available. Sounds great though and I'd definitely be doing it.

I'm 9+5 and had a private scan at 8 weeks. We have told my parents, in-laws, SIL, my hubby has told 2x friends and I told a work colleague just because of the time off I r having for appointments. Just as well as she ended up booking an appointment for when I have my 12 week scan and we can't both be absent due to office cover so she happily changed it.

splishandsplash · 09/06/2019 07:34

Currently on a camping trip so struggling to keep up!
But I'm home today and have an early scan so looking forward to it/little bit nervous.. 🙈

Cindy61 · 09/06/2019 08:00

@splishandsplash fingers crossed for you!! Thanks
