@mynameisMrG 10 weeks exactly today. X

mynameisMrG · 06/06/2019 09:07

I wouldn't be surprised then that your symptoms are getting better or changing. Towards the end of the 1st trimester the placenta starts to take over and the symptoms go. It could also be that you are having a symptom free day and they are back with a vengeance tomorrow! I'm a few days behind you and my symptoms are definitely getting better. From my previous pregnancy I remember feeling awful from week 7 to week 10. I am sure it is all part of the 'marvellous' journey and nothing to worry about :)

@splishandsplash we're very close in due dates, I'm 10 weeks 1 day today, from 6-8 weeks I could barely eat or drink then from 8-9 I could manage a bit, then just after I hit 9 weeks (I think it was 9+2) everything just seemed to get better. The nausea is barely there and I'm feeling much more myself, I had a scan last week and everything was perfect. Perhaps our bodies are just settling down?
Try not to go more than two hours without eating, even if it's just a little snack like a biscuit and it'll help keep the nausea away x

splishandsplash · 06/06/2019 09:18

@mynameisMrG @DaisyMay25 thank you both for responding. I guess I just didn't expect it to be such a dramatic switch but then who knows, I didn't get this far last time so it's all new to me 🙈 trying to relax and enjoy it is proving difficult 🙊 x

mynameisMrG · 06/06/2019 09:24

If you figure out a way can you let me know @splishandsplash!! It’s so stressful!

@splishandsplash when's your scan? Mines not til 25th 😞

Bentley111 · 06/06/2019 09:30

My dogs been sick this morning 🤢🤮 only a little bit but god knows how I'm going to tackle that feeling like this 🤢

DaisyMay25 · 06/06/2019 09:34

@Bentley111 oh no! One of my cats was sick yesterday but it was just their food and luckily on the kitchen floor! Good luck with it

NewbieMam · 06/06/2019 09:56

Are anyone's symptoms getting worse? At the weekend I had nothing really (sore breasts only), then I had really bad cramping for a few minutes maybe every 2 hours then nothing again (other than sore breasts) I think same happened Monday, not much cramping Tuesday then yesterday and today I've had headaches, and feeling sick constantly (not actually been sick though)

I'm roughly 8+1

Also maybe TMI but does anyone cramp bad when they try go to the loo for #2?

First pregnancy and not had booking in yet so relying on Google to see if anything is normal or not

Chantalle3 · 06/06/2019 10:00

@newbiemam I found weeks 7 to 9 my worst and definitely remember telling the OH in week 8 that we weren't having any more children and I didn't think I could cope with 40 weeks so that was definitely my worst week. Since a few days into week 9 though it seems to have gotten a bit better.

@splishandsplash mine seemed to turn around pretty quickly in week 9 as well. When I was bad though I did notice that I always felt worse on days that I had had less sleep the night before. So maybe that might be affecting your symptoms too?

Bluebelltulip · 06/06/2019 10:02

@NewbieMam I'm 8+1 too and been much worse this week. I've had nausea for a few weeks but felt awful most of this week.

splishandsplash · 06/06/2019 10:06

@mynameisMrG I will do! But likewise if you figure out a way let me know!

@DaisyMay25 mine is the 24th (feels like forever away) but my sister has paid for me to have an early one this weekend (she is so excited for this baby I think she will see it more than me when it's born!)

NewbieMam · 06/06/2019 10:26

@chantalle3 and @bluebelltulip thanks for your replies! Makes me feel better about my symptoms 😁

Bentley111 · 06/06/2019 10:28

Oh no, hope she is better today @DaisyMay25

Was in the kitchen too but still 🤢🤮

mynameisMrG · 06/06/2019 11:47

Had a massive craving for an egg mayo baguette. Been thinking about it for about three hours. Got to the cafe and they didn’t have it 😭 nearly cried

I'm with you on the sickness!! 8+4 today and constant nausea! Was actually sick for the first time this morning too! 🤢 roll on 12 weeks!!! I am so jealous of those with hardly and nausea!! 😭 I've had it since bang on 6 weeks, one of two days when I've felt better but it's generally always there! X

Anon120 · 06/06/2019 12:11

@mynameisMrG OMG that sounds amazing... tempted to get one for lunch now.

Have many people told work yet,

LillyLeaf · 06/06/2019 12:18

Off to Pret for an egg mayo sandwich, thanks for the inspiration.

KatiePix · 06/06/2019 12:46

Hello other mums! My first pregnancy after 2 years of trying. DD 18th Jan. I've had horrible morning sickness and am signed off work this week. Am finding travel sickness bands, crisps and ginger ale help!
I've had to tell work as needed this week off- my manager was great. Now just hoping to get to 12 week mark safe and sound!

mynameisMrG · 06/06/2019 12:58

My craving has passed now but I may need to get some rolls in for tea.

I haven't told work yet. Going to tell them just before the summer holidays where I will be about 14/15 weeks

I haven't...have booked my booking in appt on Monday as 'drs'.

I'm still very new (been here 1.5 months) so not sure whether to be honest or hide it for as long as possible. I don't think they'll be annoyed though...it's a big call centre type office full of 20 somethings that stay 6m-1 year.

I've started having nausea now too, it's maneagable as long as I constantly snack!

Bubblebubble123 · 06/06/2019 13:16

Hi guys, hope you don’t mind me jumping on. I’m 10 weeks exactly today. Due 2nd Jan and been popping in and out of the thread every so often. My symptoms seem to be worse today than ever. I had really bad nausea with my first, I hated being pregnant the whole way through. But it really was worth it when I had my beautiful boy. This time the nausea wasn’t so bad at all. I have had some days where I havnt had any at all. Today it’s hit me like a ton of bricks. I’m so sick and tired and just want to stay in bed. Is this normal? I’m reading above posts and everyone’s symptoms seem to be easing around 10 weeks not getting worse!!!

Gillster · 06/06/2019 13:21

Congratulations on all the scans so far. Mine is next Thurs at 9am. How I’m going to manage to down 2 pints of liquid before the scan is anyone’s guess!

Feeling a bit better this week on the sickness front. Eating frequently definitely helps.

Not doing so well on the sleeping front. Awoke at 2:15am last night for a wee. Managed to go back to sleep but got awoken by DS (3 years old) wandering into my room and trying to get in my bed at 3:45am. I managed to get him back to his bed but then I was wide awake. Finally started dropping off at 5:45am when he appeared again. Didn’t have the energy to return him to bed so had to put up with him being restless in my bed for the next hour or so. Think I’ll be in bed by 9pm tonight!

Also does anyone nearly throw up when brushing their back teeth? I had this with my previous pregnancy too, awful!

Bentley111 · 06/06/2019 13:35

@mynameisMrG not a fan of eggs but could smash an egg mayo sandwich right now 😩

mynameisMrG · 06/06/2019 14:16

Egg mayo and orange juice is all I’ve been craving this pregnancy @Bentley111
