@KMic @mynameisMrG DOUBLE YAY!

HungryPanda92 · 05/06/2019 18:56

@coconutlatte44 I'm a pretty emotional person and if anything went wrong everyone would know about it so I thought I better give them some pre warning.

My work colleagues know and they're all so lovely and most of mine and DPs family know too. Oh and our housemate too.

beth3735 · 05/06/2019 20:14

Glad both the scans went well today. The midwife has booked me a scan for tomorrow morning as a precaution because of the 2 weeks of spotting. I really don’t want to go and face reality 😩

MummyBearBoo · 05/06/2019 20:30

Glad your scan went well @KMic and @mynameisMrG xx

TheOnlyMrsA · 05/06/2019 20:35

@KMic & @mynameisMrG so glad your scans went well today! Those little flickers on screen do so much to ease your heart and mind!

@MoominMantra I've already met my midwife, I met her last time at 5 weeks for a hello meeting and to get a booking in appt but we never followed through obviously. I saw her this time for another hello meeting and things have stuck so far so I see her again next week she's absolutely lovely I'm so happy I have her.

With regard to telling people I have told my parents, a few very close friends and my line manager/a few colleagues as I've had early antenatal appointments, but like short and I'm not a very good liar tbh. I have ideas of how to lie and excuse myself but I just can't chat shit about myself everyone knows!!! And again my brother and sister in law on my side as we where celebrating a birthday on Saturday afternoon and watching the Liverpool game and they got on to STRAIGHT away for not drinking 😂! But all these people will give me support should anything happen. I haven't told my OH's side. They have enough on without worrying about me during another anxious 12weeks.

A day in the life of the pregnant Mrs A
Felt sick on the bus to work - check
Ate my lunch at my desk by 11am - check
Went to fill my drawer up with snacks/sweets I can suck on when I feel rough - check
Had a colleague who doesn't know I'm expecting comment on my 'munchies' today and thought about ramming her head into her desk - ^check
Felt awful on the bus home - check ^
Got home 5pm and had a snack, then somewhere between 5-6 proceeded to fall asleep.... only to be woken up by a husband who had to work late and rolled in at 8pm thinking I was dead - check
Cried like a confused overtired baby that I'd had a 3 hour nap - check

How have all your pregnant days been?!?

mynameisMrG · 05/06/2019 20:43

Thank you everyone you are all so lovely.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you @beth3735

@beth3735 good luck for your scan tomorrow.

@TheOnlyMrsA I got woken up from my evening nap by my toddler trying to wash my face, somehow managed not to scream (DH was cooking tea, toddler wasn't unsupervised while I slept).

This time we have told our parents and some close friends as we need the support, emotionally being pregnant again has been harder than either of us expected. DH has also told work now too.

TheOnlyMrsA · 05/06/2019 20:58

@Bluebelltulip I don't know how I'd manage pregnancy with a child I'm just asleep all the time 😂😂

SleepingStandingUp · 05/06/2019 21:18

I managed to not feel too sick today except when i was hungry, and didn't need a nap - not that the 4 yo would let me anyway. Also not cried yet today. Stilll can't focus on revision.

I told a few people early as i blantanlt wanst drinking but woke up really sick and emotional. Also i'm away camping in a few weeks with work and needed to tell my co-leader. Will tell the team when we get there as I won't be doing any heavy lifting.

Had a few nights out with mates where i was asked indirectly and i refuse to lie.

told family day after my sons birthday as sisters wedding was a few days later and it would be so obvious i wasn't drinking. No one would believe i wasn't drinknig the night before, the morning or or downing stress whiskey by 4 pm!!

McHelenz · 05/06/2019 21:37

I'm feeling quite anxious now. I've still been sick 3 times today, but it's much less than last week. And I feel much more awake than last week. I'm only 8 weeks so I just think this is right?

I can't afford an early scan 😔

beth3735 · 05/06/2019 21:49

Thank you both, (I would tag you but I have no idea how to on here 🤔😂
I’m guessing a 7+4 week scan would be internal? There’s no need for me to arrive with a full bladder just yet?

mynameisMrG · 05/06/2019 22:02

@beth3735 I had my first scan at 7+1 and they tried abdominal first but couldn’t see all they wanted to they did an internal. I would go with a fullish bladder and then if they do internal they will send you to the loo. At least that’s what happened at mine.

mynameisMrG · 05/06/2019 22:03

I’m sorry you’re feeling anxious @McHelenz, remember symptoms come and go and they are only generally concerned if they suddenly stop altogether. Even then it could still be fine. The first trimester is so difficult xx

TheOnlyMrsA · 05/06/2019 22:04

HOW THE F--K AM I EVEN TIRED, I WOKE UP FROM A 2 HOUR NAP LIKE... 2 HOURS AGO 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

mynameisMrG · 05/06/2019 22:04

😂😂😂😂 @TheOnlyMrsA I could sleep for a week... except at night 🤷🏼‍♀️

Also, I'm going to TMI right here. I've had loose stools for about 3 or 4 mornings and then I've been bad this evening. I don't feel ill.

Do I need to see someone? Or is this normal? I'm sick or reading Google and panicking 🙈

SleepingStandingUp · 05/06/2019 22:24

@beth3735 i would go with a full one, as they may see baby abdominally and they will want to try first. If they need to use the magic wand they'll just send you for a pee

BowiesJumper · 05/06/2019 22:29

It can be normal yes. Think the hormones can give you the shits. And constipation. But not simultaneously obviously...
glamour.

beth3735 · 05/06/2019 22:32

Thank you, I’ll make sure I drink enough in the morning 😊

McHelenz · 05/06/2019 22:35

@bowiesjumper I did think that, but Google is obviously not my friend and makes you think something else.

You'd think as a nurse I wouldn't be like this 🙈 logic goes out of the window.

TheOnlyMrsA · 06/06/2019 07:23

@McHelenz If it makes you feel any better I had the runs really badly this morning and I was panicking thinking I had a bug... it I realised I'm drinking pure orange constantly because it helps the nausea haha xoxox

Bentley111 · 06/06/2019 07:37

@McHelenz I've had the runs a few times too. I think it's completely normal x

LillyLeaf · 06/06/2019 08:51

So pleased everyones scans went well yesterday. Good luck for any today. I have mine tomorrow and I can't believe how slow this week has gone. Still don't really have symptoms so preparing myself. Luckily I have the day off work so can deal with whatever the outcome is.

splishandsplash · 06/06/2019 08:54

Can someone please stop me from going crazy and majorly paranoid?
I had the worst symptoms on Tuesday, could barely stand without feeling sick and I lost a lot of fluids and couldn't eat. Since then, I've felt absolutely fine no symptoms whatsoever? Am I just being paranoid? If god forbid the worst had happened the symptoms wouldn't just stop like that would they?
I feel like I should just relax but after one MMC already I'm scared 😟 x

mynameisMrG · 06/06/2019 09:02

How many weeks are you @splishandsplash ?

Fingers crossed for tomorrow @LillyLeaf
