Thought we had better start a new thread - wonder if we'll see some (more) babies arriving on this thread...

Well done ScaredyKat and Baby Bobby! Wonderful news.

twickersmumtobe · 28/06/2019 05:42

Well done and congratulations @TheScaredyKat brilliant news, hope the feeding is going well 😊

GiGi18 · 28/06/2019 08:58

Congratulations @TheScaredyKat hope you and Bobby are doing well and you're enjoying your newborn bubble! So exciting checking in to see if babies have arrived.

It's my last day in work today, then two weeks of annual leave before maternity leave on the 15th July. I'm so ready to shut this laptop for 12 months 😂

Hope everyone is keeping ok and getting some relaxation in before the craziness begins!

Capybaras · 28/06/2019 09:59

Enjoy your last day @GiGi18 I finished two weeks ago now and loving life. Forgotten what work is!

38+3 now, still don't feel like anything is happening. Had the occasional mild cramp and lost a tiny bit of plug last week but nothing since!

How about everyone else? Any signs baby may be imminent?

GiGi18 · 28/06/2019 11:52

Thanks @Capybaras glad you're enjoying your time off! Hope things start happening for you soon, you would think the plug would be a good sign!

I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow. Been feeling a bit period crampy all week but I dont think that means everything. Feel like every night I go to bed and say to my husband that tonight might be the night. He's not gonna believe me when I'm actually in labour! 🤪

blueeyedviking · 28/06/2019 12:03

I'm 38+2 and the last few days I've had some period cramps but it may just be in my head. I've definitely feeling the pressure in my lower stomach though, very tender and heavy.

Enjoy your last day @gigi18 ! Maternity leave is lovely once you get used to it!

I'm dreading the 30 degrees tomorrow. May just have to hid by my fan inside the house.

Capybaras · 28/06/2019 12:22

I still don't feel like the baby has dropped although I am breathing easier!
It's so odd to think that we could just go into labour at any point now!

Oh wow 30c that's hot! I set up the gro egg the other day to see how it works and our bedroom was registering 25.9 last night - May have to invest in a fan for when baby comes if it stays like this!

cravingmilkshake · 28/06/2019 12:56

@Capybaras we did the same- set the gro egg up in our room and measured 26° so we invested in one of those Dyson fans which cools the room to whichever temp you set it! I feel all the fans will sell out next week (or this weekend)!

Hope all is well- I am 37 weeks tomorrow and so excited! Baby is moving a lot today!

Capybaras · 28/06/2019 18:04

Oh I bet the Dyson fan is amazing! Will have to take a look at them...

Mines being a bit more quiet today, but moving enough that I'm not worried. Think it's the heat so I'm trying to rest and hydrate! Unfortunately we have DHs family coming over tonight (I like them just unfortunate that I'm tired) but im leaving all the hosting up to him and they're pretty good at not overstaying their welcome so if I say I'm tired they'll take the hint!

TwinkleDay · 28/06/2019 20:13

My plans for the hot weather tomorrow is to play on my new phone and sit in the house with fan on in my pants lol .. please no visitors... Unless it's the baby coming out!

Giraffe888 · 28/06/2019 20:45

@TwinkleDay 😂 sounds like a plan!

I’m working all day tomorrow. I’m a very cold person and pregnancy heat still hasn’t hit me so this heat hasn’t really affected me yet

Giraffe888 · 29/06/2019 08:51

I take back what I said yesterday 😂 I’ve just walked to work and it’s already too hot and uncomfortable!

Yukka · 29/06/2019 09:18

Morning just a quickie, I'm 36w has anyone seen what they call practice breathing of your baby in your tummy? I'm pretty sure that's what I've had this morning, it was amazing?!

TwinkleDay · 29/06/2019 10:02

@giraffe lol I have the big winter coats out in the washing line, made some cookies and lemon drizzle cake and got all rooms in lock down after rotating some air throughout the downstairs!

Tmi warning I have just had a tricky poo don't know if it's the start of something or the new potato chips frying from the chippy last night... I have not changed anything else in my diet 😯🙄

TwinkleDay · 29/06/2019 10:03

@yukka my baby has had a million episodes of hiccups so they must be trying but my nct friends have had there babies doing it 😁

Yukka · 29/06/2019 10:24

@TwinkleDay The weird thing about this is you can see your tummy going up and down but can't feel anything, and it just looked like how you'd see a baby breathing in real life. It was so cool!

Get my induction date on Wednesday and just taken the last of my meds, getting very real now :) I'm so excited! 😆

Chinks123 · 29/06/2019 10:47

Yes @Yukka, I’m 35 weeks and had an episode of this the other day. Very weird but lovely. He’s very active still, I was balancing my dinner plate on my bump and he kicked it off. I don’t think he liked being used as a shelf.

Yukka · 29/06/2019 12:17

@Chinks123 you've s strong boy there if he's kicking off plates! It's still a bit crazy that we have real life babies in there, with hair and eyelashes and everything else!
