I couldn't see a new thread so started one, hope that's OK.

38 weeks tomorrow. 38 weeks and bloody done and going to beg the midwife for a sweep on Tuesday when the kids go back to school. Will be 38+4 by then, the same date I was when I had a sweep with ds1 and went into labour 4 hours later. I’m on my own and I’m tired and so teary.

Blondcat · 30/05/2019 10:40

After a long and tiring induction the labour was fairly speedy and our little girl arrived safely at 4.59am today weighing 6lb 6.5oz (37+6). She is so chilled at the moment we are totally in love already. Got to stay in at least 24hrs because of the blood pressure medication I was on they need to check her blood sugars to ensure they are fine.

toomanyflatwhites · 30/05/2019 11:32

Congratulations @Blondcat!

Pigriver · 30/05/2019 11:42

Congratulations @blondcat

hexagon01 · 30/05/2019 18:28

Lovely news @Blondcat!

I’m not in hospital, she moved! I was wrong!! Tried to book in my section but they’re full til July??!! So I’m waiting for a call ahhh...

KoalasAteMyHomework · 30/05/2019 18:44

Congratulations Blondcat!

DinoMamasaurus · 30/05/2019 20:42

Congratulations @blondcat - lovely news!

@toomanyflatwhites Nope - had no inkling at all of impending labour. No so much as a twinge when from feeling nothing to being 10cm!

@Kescilly feeling a bit tender to be honest, think my tailbone took the brunt so sitting down is not so great at the moment! Which isn’t making the necessary first toilet trip any less daunting! How are you doing? Hope you are recovering well from the section.

DinoMamasaurus · 30/05/2019 20:46

@napssavelives hope the sweep does the trick. Hope you are feeling better this evening although quite understand feeling tired and teary!

Napssavelives · 31/05/2019 07:27

It they’ll give me one, I feel I have a good case! Going to hunt down some clary sage too

Heyha · 31/05/2019 09:12

Congrats @blondcat! Fingers crossed for you @naps and well done to baby @hexagon for behaving 🙂. Wonder if we'll have a last ditch attempt from any of the June babies to become May babies today?!

Napssavelives · 31/05/2019 09:24

Im off to buy some clary sage today. Get out baby get out! @Blondcat congrats!

rollerskaterdata · 31/05/2019 18:58

@Blondcat congratulations!

KoalasAteMyHomework · 31/05/2019 22:35

Had my 38w midwife appointment today and my bump measurement is the same as 2 weeks ago and measuring small so now I have to have another scan. I'm pretty sure everything is fine, but my son starts his new school next week so stressing about juggling everything!

fee1234 · 01/06/2019 00:18

I know a lot of babies from this thread have already arrived, but I'm so excited to see that it's now officially June! Feel like I've been waiting forever for this month!

Hope everyone is doing okay. I'm 39+4 and no sign yet!

Napssavelives · 01/06/2019 07:06

Hurray for June!

hexagon01 · 01/06/2019 08:41

Ahh blessed and cursed month. I can’t quite believe I definitely won’t be pregnant by the end of this month (hopefully the middle!).

KoalasAteMyHomework · 01/06/2019 09:13

Scary to think I will be having a baby this month! I still feel unprepared. Not helped by finding out yesterday that I can't go to the birth centre rather than the hospital. It's pulled the rug out from under my feet a bit!

stellarfox · 01/06/2019 17:25

Hello all and congratulations on the new arrivals! Things have been so hectic I posted on the Facebook group but not here. We had a little girl on Tuesday via csection! She’s amazing. Just trying to figure out how to survive without sleep! Csection itself was amazing and the recovery combined with lack of sleep has been the toughest part. That said it’s 4 days later and I can walk around the house pretty easily now so the recovery is speedy! Hope everyone’s doing well!

Napssavelives · 01/06/2019 17:31

@stellarfox congrats!

KoalasAteMyHomework · 01/06/2019 17:59

Oh congratulations stellarfox! Glad the recovery is going well even if it has been tough.

Heyha · 01/06/2019 19:51

Ooh another one, well done @stellarfox !
It's dawning on me that I'm not going back to work on Monday so things are getting real...it's been half term and I've just felt 'half-termy' not 'mat-leavey'!

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 01/06/2019 20:30

Congrats @stellarfox

Well it just gets better here. After just starting to settle into “normal” life, I’ve got colossal toothache and it’s not being touched by any painkiller.

It’s an abcess for sure and now I need to decide between root canal and extraction. The pain is fucking unreal. After everything I’ve been through this past month, this is all I need and I’ll probably request an extraction ASAP. Fuck.

DinoMamasaurus · 01/06/2019 23:51

Congratulations @stellarfox - wonderments news. Glad you are starting to feel more on the mend from the c section.

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut - Fuck. What a rotten thing to happen. Hope you can get it sorted ASAP.

DinoMamasaurus · 01/06/2019 23:52

Ha ha “wonderments” news. I was going for wonderful but I quite like that. Not a lot of sleep going on in this house either!

Napssavelives · 02/06/2019 03:29

Any others have insomnia ?
