Well ladies we had quite the day yesterday! Was all set for the planned section - fasted, alarm set for 5:30. At 4:30 I woke up all of a sudden in crazy pain! Got to hospital - was fully dilated on arrival no time for anything - and had surprise rapid VBAC! A small cut and a small tear and our gorgeous 9lb 7(!) girl arrived. She obviously had her own idea of how to make an entrance!

@Kescilly can’t believe you went into labour before your section on the same day too!

OMG @DinoMamasaurus, I can’t believe that! I was worried the baby was going to drop out of me while I was waiting!

So pleased that everything went well for you. How are you feeling? My baby wasn’t even that big in the end but I have no regrets, especially now that I’ve experienced labor.

I was due May 29th anyway so baby was pretty timely!

Anyone else struggling with back pain? By the end of the day my lower back is so painful, I can’t get comfortable and I toss and turn most of the night.

@Napssavelives YES!! All the damn time! I was in agony after standing for half an hour doing ironing last night. Sorry you're experiencing it, not nice!

Haven't been able to keep up but looks like a few of you had their babies?! Massive congratulations to all of you!! So exciting and makes me realise how close we are now :)

...DH left for work this morning without his bloody phone, and he's out sailing for work all day. No way of contacting him so better not go into labour today ha. He's usually very good and really the perfect support but this really stresses me out so much as there's literally no other person around I could possibly call if I go into labour.

I'm with you on the back pain ladies, it's getting worse every day and yesterday also had period like pain - made me wonder if that's early signs of labour even though my due date is still 10 days away and it's my first so not too likely it'll be early. Been having stronger braxton hicks on and off for days now, seems like I'll have to put up with these kind of pre-labour symptoms for a while...

Oh no @annihall! Positive thoughts, today will not be the day you go into labour lol

I had my 36 week appointment yesterday (36+5) and my section is booked for June 18th! I'll be 39+4 then so fingers crossed I don't go into labour before that! The consultant tried for the 14th and 17th but there was no space, hoping I don't get bumped on the 18th as I got the last place that day. Baby is doing well, still has a massive head but is 6lbs7 and his tummy is measuring bang on so GD doesn't seem to be affecting him.

Another one! @dino well done and glad things are going ok. Really hoping to get a week or two's leave in before ours decides to appear!

I have a consultant appointment and scan today to see if baby has turned from transverse. I don’t think she has based on movements. If that’s the case I’ll be admitted until I have her by c section some time next week. I’m feeling emotional about it, mainly because of leaving my (only just) 2 year old, I sobbed after dropping him off at nursery this morning. On the other hand it will be a relief to be in the safest place for if anything was to happen, I’ve been pretty anxious about my waters breaking all week!
