Caroline- took your title to follow on the horsey theme!!

No idea what I'm having. Wanted to find out but DH didn't and as it meant we'd have had to pay for a private scan we didn't bother.
What about you?

congrats ww and chrissybobs on your new arrivals.. . Chrissybobs well done on your VBAC..

Well just got back from the hospital.. CTG and scan was fine. They gave me a sweep.. she said she got a good feel of babies head.

Hopefully will go into labour with in the next 24hrs.. With ds sweep I did and they couldnt feel his head when it was done.
If not I am back at the hospital on Thursday for another go.

I am getting excited now..

twoplusone · 16/07/2007 09:40

Goodluck caroline.. I know you cant read this till after but hey.. ment to post last night.

twoplusone · 16/07/2007 09:42

Goodluck and fingers crossed for you PPS.

typhoonsmum · 16/07/2007 10:03

OOHH I'm so jealous. Everyone is having babies and mine is quite comfy and doesn't plan on going anywhere.
My house is getting worse instead of better.
After DP had changed the taps in the kitchen there was a small drip from the pipes under the sink. At 10pm last night DP decided to try and fix it. HE HAS MADE IT WORSE! The leak is nearly a flood so he has turned the water off and found what he calls an "Ants Nest"- I saw 4 ants.(Men really do exaggerate)I blame the fact the council has moved to fortnightly bin emptying. WE get flies in the house everytime you open the door too.
Anyway back to the water. I have NO WATER!. Have to use bottled water in the kettle to make a cup of tea and clean my teeth. Have to go to MIL's to use the toilet.(How embarassing)and I can't do any washing up or laundry.
I'm going up to my mum's this afternoon to pick up the moses basket. It was going to be a flying visit but i think I might stay there all afternoon now. At least her toilet flushes!

Groveregg · 16/07/2007 10:11

Wow things are hotting up!

Big congratulations to dewmeadow (bet you're relieved to get that pg lark over with!) and to chrissybobs!

Good luck to PPS and to Caroline - and to you too twoplusone! Hope to hear at least 3 lots of baby news very shortly.

I had some mild contractions in the night, every 10 mins or so but seem to have stopped for a while now. First time round this went on for 5 days so I'm thinking that things aren't going to happen in a hurry but that maybe it will be out by the end of the week. It is quite weird that I finally managed to pin dh down to helping me with clearing up the room I want to have the homebirth in yesterday and finish sorting out clothes and emergency hospital bag etc and generally have a big active nesting day, then by the evening I was getting a bit hot and cold and shaky and feeling a bit wired, to it slowly starting in the night.

Myfairone · 16/07/2007 10:17

Typhoonsmum - I'm so sorry to hear about your water situation. Its bad enough when that happens at the best of times, let alone when your pregnant! Cant you just hover over a bucket!?

OOOh good luck Caroline, sending you lots of vibes.

Twoplusone - How exciting! My friend went into labour straight after her sweep, so good luck with that. Keep us posted..and I hope you managed to sort out the childcare situation.

Dumbledorf - I am so pleased to hear I am not the only one whose Mum wished she could electronically tag me!
I was like that yesterday with the tears and the totally unreasonably worries. I think one of my classic comments was 'I dont know if I can do this'....to which my Dh very patiently replied 'okay then, lets just call it all off, call eveyrone up and tell them that you are no longer going to have the baby but are planning on walking around like a beached whale forever'!
Why do we say silly things when we are upset?

Tiggsy, does only 7 days make it feel any shorter?

PPS - Hows it going? Keep us informed, I love the live birth threads!!!!! Glad your other half is there with you....Good luck!!!!!!

twoplusone · 16/07/2007 10:32

Typhonsmum.. men.... ope you gert the water situation sorted.

Just read my notes and my cervix is soft and shortened..I hope that means what I think it means..

Just been to loo and wiped think I have had a start of a show sorry if tmi.. it was white mucus.. but no bloody tinge..
To top it off as typing this suddenly had to run to loo to be sick!!!! Sorry if TMI.. maybe things will start sooner than I think..

tiggsy · 16/07/2007 10:36

myfairone- seven days still seems like an eternity! i know i'm lucky having a set date for the baby to arrive so i shouldn't complain but it's almost worse in a way. and i feel like a cross between a whale and a duck! really waddling now dp is still in denial about babies. almost went and bought a wii yesterday 'so he has something to do while home with me and the baby'...

tiggsy · 16/07/2007 10:36

oohh, sounds promising twoplusone!

Princesspowersparkle · 16/07/2007 12:04

Well- still no contractions! A bit of aching but thats it. Going to go out for a walk soon (just a little one) and have had a bounce on my ball so fingers crossed won't be long!

Good Luck Caroline!

2+1- its a race to see who gets there first!

Congratulations Chrissybobs and Dewmeadow and well done on the birth of your LO's.

Twoplusone and Princess - Good Luck, hoping that things get moving for you both, sounds like things are moving the right direction. Could we have two babies on 16 July 2007?

Tee Hee am teasing my mum. She lives a good 40 minutes away and is on standby to look after dd as it's a homebirth. All relatives are very good and not bothering us, but keep sending my mum texts about what dd is doing. She has her phone on at work and keeps telling me off for texting when it isn't baby news.

Myfairone · 16/07/2007 15:38

Jennster - That is just plain mean!

Kyte - I am having those conversations with my LO too! Infact this morning I was trying to convince it that Mummy would be sooo happy if it showed an appearance now! I want to get this out before I lose all my friends and DH leaves home because he can't take the moaning anymore!

Princess - lets hope things happen soon...you are our labouring woman of today!

Me thinks Twoplusone will be tomorrows...

So exciting but still wish it was me!!!

Princesspowersparkle · 16/07/2007 15:46

Myfairone · 16/07/2007 16:28

Princess, maybe you are one of these really lucky people who feel no pain! When you go back to hospital tomorrow they will say 'oh princess, you are already 10cm dialated, just push a little and out will pop the little prince or princess baby'!

Well you can dream can't you!!!!

They'll come, don't you worry!

twoplusone & pps- what about trampoling to get things going??

Princesspowersparkle · 16/07/2007 18:31

Yawn- 13 1/2 hrs since waters went and no sign. Hopefully, MYFAIRONE you're right and I'll get to the hospital tomorrow and they'll say, right Princess, you're ready to push. And then I'll only need 1 puch and out will pop my royal package weighing in at a respectable 7 1/2lb!!

When we were in the delivery suite this morning there was a lady at the pushing stage and we could hear screaming, and then all of a sudden a baby cry- it was sooooo lovely!!

2+1 at this rate you are going to beat me I think!

Hope everyone is well.
