Caroline- took your title to follow on the horsey theme!!

No idea what I'm having. Wanted to find out but DH didn't and as it meant we'd have had to pay for a private scan we didn't bother.
What about you?

JAM - Don't worry you won't get that note from them because I think I already got the last place all secured!
Good luck for tomorrow...I am so excited for you!
And don't worry about DH, we will be gentle with him

Cyee - Thanks for popping in to say hi, its great to hear that your doing so well and also promising to hear that things do improve once LO comes along. So many people are quick to say we should be enjoying this time!

Jennster - OH MY! Cannot believe that you got all these 'signs' today! First the trip to church, then seeing the name! Lets hope that they take care of you and you have a very easy labour. Wishing you well, please let us know asap!

Tiggsy - You just have 2 more sleeps!!! woohoooo! Cannot wait to hear that all went well and sending you tons of good labour vibes too!

Well typhoonsmum, looks like its me and you! Due of the 29th and our LO are sticking to it!
I'll hold your hand this week if you hold mine!

Okay, thinking of going to bed but can't find the motivation to climb the stairs!

Nite all, hope that you are all well...good luck to everyone labouring and about to labour.

Beartime · 22/07/2007 22:20

Hi everyone! Sorry its taken me ages to tell you this but I had the baby 24th June - home water birth - she is called Hope Sunshine and weighed 7lb 8oz.

Here is the birth story if you are interested:

Beartime · 22/07/2007 22:21

Oh forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS everyone on your babies, and well done, and lots of pushing vibes to the ones who are still cooking

agnesnitt · 23/07/2007 01:24

'lo everyone!

Again, apologies for the vague:

Congratulations to everyone who has popped, hope you're all well and that the babies are being impeccably behaved.

To everyone still waiting I offer sympathy. I'm utterly fed up. Anyone else had enough?

Was due on Friday but even a midnight jaunt to Waterstones to get a HP book didn't entice the little sod out. Gah!

I'm away to bed now as all I seem to do is drink and sleep right now.

Take care everyone

Agnes

catstar · 23/07/2007 03:59

Congratulations on all new babies! And good luck to all those still waiting. I'm up with a windy LO at the moment and have just managed to upload a couple of photos onto my profile (I hope).

Well, am going to try to settle her now, again.....

Myfairone · 23/07/2007 04:49

Catstar - She is absolutely adorable! What a little cutie...you must be so proud...thanks for sharing those.

Agnes - Thought you might have had your LO as we hadn't seen you in a while. Sorry to hear you are still waiting!

Well its almost 5 and I have been awake since 2.30...have finally decided to get up! Tried visualising myself asleep for 2 hours but its done nothing...so now I'm visualising myself with a cup of tea and a biscuit and being very tired later!

DivaSkyChick · 23/07/2007 05:15

Good morning ladies. I've been up since 3 (you win Myfairone!) with mild surges and a slight feeling of nausea.

DH has the flu. I might be getting it. Suddenly I don't want to give birth right now!

I bet I'm the only one in the group is desperate to put the whole thing off for a week...

blech.

I'll hold your hand myfairone. Agnesnit can join our "Stubborn Babies/Comfortable Womb syndrome" support group if she wants.

DD still not well. So she is in my bed watching tv and doing as she is told. It's quiet a nice change actually.

Myfairone · 23/07/2007 09:28

JAM - I am sure that your LO will be the most angelic and adorable in the whole hospital! I guess by now you are well on your way to your op so just sending over lots of hugs and wishing you well.

Diva - Where have you been? Havent seen you for ages! Hope you don't have the flu...thats all you need right now. But you do win the prize for the person wanting to put off birth by a week

Typhoonsmum - Sorry that DD isn't feeling well. I hope she gets better soon. I am sure with some TLC and some TV you will have her feeling better in no time.

Well I crawled back into bed at 5.30 and was woken by DH going to work at 6. Then my dog woke me at 7 (he was wondering where his breakfast was!) and then my Mum called at 8.30 and because I sounded sleepy assumed I was in labour and was demanding to know what the matter was!!!!

Can people just not leave me in peace? Is it too much to ask?

Oh My. Joseph Anthony born 8lb 3oz (a whole pound heavier than expected) born 7.45 am at home. Much tougher and longer than first labour. Very sore and waiting for first wee. Think I might have had a small tear. Ready for sleep. Speak later.

Congrats to you Jennster - lovely name - it is one we're thinking of if we have a ds.

Am booked in for a sweep today.. not really looking forward to it. Last time I had it done with dd1, the 'sweeper' was retrieving a pager message. Will then have to wait and see what the next stage is going to be. Last week my bp was a bit high so am hoping that if it's still high they may book me in quicker for induction.

Am having a bit of a nightmare with my mum. she lives away and I had made it clear that she and dad can come to see us when baby is born for say a day and night, but that she should take her time off work after dh's paternity leave. That seems to have all gone out of the window... DH is pretty livid as this was the case last time too, and we want to spend our first couple of weeks together just the 4 of us getting to know LO and helping dd to come to terms with being a big sis. SO, am gonna have to tackle that with my mum on the phone later. Not too bad, you might think, but my mum is always hyper -sensitive and will then try to make herself out to be some sort of martyr for not getting in the way etc... Anyone else got or had these dilemmas?

Good luck to all today xx

Dumbledorf · 23/07/2007 10:33

Well done, Jennster, really pleased for you!

If it's not too late for people, the psalms are;121, 126, 4, 5,8, 20, 35, 57, 93, 108, 142, 139.

Not looked them up, but keep meaning to!

Guess what? I STILL havn't had my baby, what a surprise, but at least I made it through the weekend, so hopefully I can still get the hb as planned, although am starting to realise that my planning doesn't reaaly come into it!! I'm telling myself that I will probably be induced on sat, so anything that happens in the meantime will be a bonus!! And in the meantime I am bouncing on the ball, pouncing on the dh and eating lots of things that will induce "movement", so far big bowl of bran flakes and raisens and loads of grapes!!

2nd sweep booked tomorrow and appointment with acupuncturist. have been doing the relexolgy points on my hands and legs, but still too scared to do the nipples thing, although it did (eventually!) work for Jennster!!

Myfairone · 23/07/2007 11:00

Jennster - congratulations!!!!!! I know you said it was a long labour but it only seems like a few hours ago to me!
So pleased that all is well and love the name too. Get some rest and hope you feel better later.

Dumbledorf - You will get your HB! I am sure that it will all happen just as you had planned now!
I too am eating 'all the right labour inducing things'...pounced on DH more times than I care to admit and still nothing happening here. May just bounce on this ball all day...although at times it makes me feel quite dizzy!

Keiralou - Do we have the same Mother? Are we long lost sisters? I too have exactly the same complaint as you...except mine lives really close.
I don't know about yours but mine just doesn't seem to understand the word NO! We too were planning that my parents come around once DH's paternity leave has ended (have explained this so many times) but NO! My father goes and books off the week that they predict I will be at home, which of course coincides with DH's paternity leave! (All this based on me having the baby on due date of 29th!).
My DH is fuming! I can see this turning into a real problem because I don't want to hurt anyones feelings but in the meantime I am the one getting upset by it all.

I really feel like I just want to run away into a field and have it on my own...just me, DH and a few bees!

agnesnitt · 23/07/2007 11:58

Get evil with your parents if you want to. Tell them to fark off. If they refuse to fark off just lock the door. Might be hard but it'll make a point.

Be strong!

Agnes

JennsterBubsLayer · 23/07/2007 13:15

Or Anthony Joseph. MIL not happy with other way around as sil stole Joseph from us......7 years ago and different surname.... I prefered J A until he was born and really don't mind now. DH a bit pissed off with his mother.

MelissaM · 23/07/2007 13:42

Sorry not been around since the birth of Evelyn Grace (she weighed 7lb3.5oz by the way) but after a great birth and first night together, we ended up in SCBU. The poor little thing picked up an infection from me on her way through, partially it is thought because my waters went the night before (but within the 24 hrs after which they normally give you anti-b's here). She was very very sick and then got very jaundiced too (narrowly avoiding blood transfusion). We had a very stressful first week with out beautiful daughter, but we all came home last week and have spent the last few days getting to know each other properly. For any of you planning hb - this wasn't a factor in her getting sick. Purely down to me being a unknown carrier of Group B Strep. At least I know now for next time (and it shouldn't stop me having another hb either!).

Congratulations to everyone else who has had their lo's now. I will catch up with the posts when I get chance.

Good luck to all those who are still waiting. Sending you lots of labour vibes. Keep up with the perennial massage - it really is worth the effort to avoid tearing!

twoplusone · 23/07/2007 14:30

Congrats jennster.. [grin

Melissa- sorry to here about troubles.. glad everythibg is ok now and you are home with Evelyn..

Take care all.
xx

Myfairone · 23/07/2007 16:04

Jennster - I really think that after all your hard work you deserve to call your baby whatever you choose regardless of who called their baby what! I may just be feeling feisty when I say that!
Glad that all is well.

Melissa - Sorry to hear about the infection etc but so pleased to hear that all is well now!

I am having some pretty strong BH this afternoon but may be due to the fact that my Mum did arrive with my cousin (unannounced) even after I had asked her not to come round!
Really need to get a grip on this before LO is born because DH will have none of it and I fear for an upcoming family feud!

Princesspowersparkle · 23/07/2007 16:57

Loved your story Princess. As I said on your birth announcement post, so glad to hear you had good care and that you are both safe and well.

Now you two can get to know each other!

Take care
